Fort Guesthouse is located close to the Mutrah Souq (5min walk), we enjoyed the tranquility and good service. We stayed here for the second time during our roadtrip. Highly recommended!

The location is the best. The staff are very attentive.

The access procedure is a little complicated but once you've mastered it, is OK. The carpet in my room needs refreshing/replacing.

The location was perfect! Could easily walk to the corniche, the souq, restaurants, fish market and the forts.

Nothing - everything was as stated.

Personnel charmant, dans la partie hôtel comme dans la partie café, sur la terrasse. Localisation idéale. Terrasse en hauteur très agréable pour se reposer. Salle de bain fonctionnelle, produits d'hygiène proposés aux clients vraiment agréables à utiliser. Parking public à proximité (refusez de céder là-bas aux gens qui tentent de vous y extorquer des sous, sinon ce sera quotidien).

Problème d'insonorisation : notre chambre est la seule à l'étage (celle avec salle de bain privative séparée) et on entend à la fois le lave-linge et le générateur, situé juste en face de la fenêtre. Heureusement, le personnel a eu la gentillesse d'y remédier - ne pas hésiter à leur en parler. C'est aussi la chambre la moins "jolie" en terme de décorations. Et pour notre part, grosse déception sur le petit déjeuner si vanté dans les commentaires : c'est très joliment présenté, mais on n'a pas trouvé ça très bon. En outre, aucune boisson incluse : il faut ajouter jus, café et thé à la carte, ce qui a fini par faire cher le petit déjeuner. Ceci dit, les chambres sont généreusement pourvues de dosettes Nescafé et de sachets de thé, qui peuvent faire l'affaire si ça vous convient.

A wonderful guest house experience. Perfect location in Mutrah - which is an area I highly recommend travellers to Muscat stay. Breakfast was fantastic, and the staff couldn't be more responsive and accomodating to our needs. Our room had a private bathroom, just outside the room - which was not an issue. Highly recommended.

A beautiful genuine, authentic guest house. Wonderful staff. And nothing was a problem just very accommodating to my needs and wishes. I was travelling as a single female and I felt so safe and comfortable. Truly recommend!

The place is super clean and tidy. The bed is comfortable. The room is spacious. They have a coffee shop on the roof with terrace and lovely view. The location is superb, close to almost all attractions. It is also close to the beach.

Perfect location strategically situated in the Centre of Souq/Bazaar, and all the attraction around it. Plenty of parking space across the Guesthouse to park my car. A beautiful, clean, well maintained traditional designs with all modern amenities in the room. I would stay here again if I go to Muscat again.

This lovely Guesthouse is in the midst of the local residence, so strange noises could be heard from outside in the nights, and some garbage found outside the Guesthouse's surroundings. But it adds more charm to this place as you would feel like being part of the local community.

Loved the authentic Omani style bedroom and the delicious breakfast on the rooftop patio!

I had ordered a room for 3 adults, and I had thought there would be another bed besides the 2 twins, but one of us had to sleep on a mattress on the floor right in front of the doorway. Suggest the twin rooms are only suitable for adults with kids.

The place is decorated in traditional Omani style and is well located as it is a 5 minute walk to the sea and Matrah Bay. It is also easy to park near the guesthouse

I discovered at the end of breakfast that it does not include coffee or tea - which meant that I had to pay extra for this.

My request for double twin bed was ignored. The room is so small with no bathroom in it. The bathroom does not even have a curtain or a glass door. The AC was extremely noisy and light ip the whole room without even pumping enough cool air when it was on “sleep mode”. No window or light in the room. I come from a hotels background and even if the price of this room is low and you make offers on it, it could jeopardize the quality of your whole guesthouse. After I saw the other rooms the next day I was shocked at the difference of the one we got.

All is perfect in this guest house and the staff is kindly! Simply all perfect !

The decor is traditional and beautiful. The place is extremely clean with everything you could possibly need with tea making facilities, a fridge, hairdryer etc.. There is a wonderful roof terrace with great views and a very good coffee bar. The breakfasts are fabulous and plentiful. The location is brilliant so close to the sea front and Mutrah souk. I would highly recommend this guesthouse.

We didn't want to stay in the large hotels and opted for this small guesthouse in Mutrah. It is a fantastic location to explore the city on foot. There is a large and safe parking lot nearby and from here it is a 2 minute walk to the guesthouse. The guesthouse is clean and beautiful. We had two rooms since no family room was available. We paid extra for breakfast and it was very good. But they only provide water and we had pay at the bar for a tea.

Fantastic place, nicely decorated in the traditional Omani stile, staff is very friendly and communication was fine. There is a big parking lot just behind the property. They have a cafe on the rooftop terrace where you can try karak tea in the morning, or frankincense-infused tea, and you must try their saffron cake! Location is good, close to the sea and main market (Mutrah Souq). You can order breakfast for 6 OM which is delicious and enough for two! Highly recommedt this place! It's a good value for money!

One day we had to leave early and asked breakfast to be served before 7am, they said it's not problem, but on the day breakfast was not ready and we were told they have breakfast from 7:30 only... This was disappointing, but if you don't need early breakfast, I guess this should not matter to you... We still enjoyed our stay here a lot!

Location is great, only few possibilities exists in Muttrah - old part of Maskat, and this is probably the best. Rooms are specious and nicely decorated. Breakfast are available and possible in room or in roof terrace, which has really good view on Muttrah.

Location just being the Fort, few steps from the Corniche and 5 min walk to the Souq. Super friendly staff... Just perfect! Beds were also super comfortable (it's rare to see that in a tourist fascility)
