This was our second time staying at this property and we can’t wait to go back! The amenities are amazing, the location is unbeatable and the views are stellar. Favorite vacation - look forward to going back!

This home is beautiful and the location is amazing- perfect in every way!

We rent a house at least once a year, all over the United States. Because of covid, we’ve went to Galveston two years in a row so we don’t have to fly. Last year, I rented a brand new home but had a horrible experience. This year, I went with this house because the reviews said Mark was so helpful. The reviews were not wrong. He responded quickly any time I sent a message. The house is older but it’s been updated. The elevator made taking luggage in so much easier. We were not a fan of the mattresses and sheets but everything else made up for it. I was really worried that I missed something that I was supposed to do when leaving because I didn’t get the Info sheet from Mark until I was on the road down to Galveston… and then forgot to read it while there. So I was panicking, trying to get car loaded, get everything picked up and organize all of the people, I really worried I missed something. When I got home, I read what he sent me and there wasn’t much he asked me to do so hopefully all was good when we left. The washer and dryer were great! I was confused with the layout before we went. I wasn’t sure where all of the rooms were. Rooms are all very large. Second floor entry, three bedrooms (all with bathrooms - 1 has 4 beds, the other two have king beds) and the laundry room is on this floor. Third floor is the living space (huge kitchen, dining, lots of tables, lots of sofa space). The main bedroom/huge bathroom is up there too. There is a half bath, as well. We wish there were blinds in the living space because that sun is very bright and warms the upstairs up fast (but I understand why there aren’t blinds). You can not beat the location! The beach was quiet. Last year we went the week after Christmas and Galveston was so busy. We couldn’t get I to restaurants and shopping was crazy. This year, we went the week before Christmas. Everything was quiet. We got to go to all of the restaurants that we wanted to try. It was the perfect.

Mark was an outstanding host!! We had a dream vacation with his property. You can't beat the location or hospitality. The set up is perfect for a family vacation. The numerous bathrooms made it easy to share with multiple families. The master bath soaker tub made us want to redo our with how amazing it was. Stay here, you will be so happy you did!!

This House was perfect for our beach Family get together. Being right on the beach was perfect for watching the kiddos play. Nice big kitchen with so much prep space. Tons of seating everywhere. Everything you could want to watch on TV also. Lot's of parking space for everyone. Huge deck for sun bathing. Every room has a bathroom. I would recommend bringing some beach towels and chairs with you.

We had a great time! Very clean and excellent location on the beach. The no drive on beach was wonderful. Bring your own beach towels and shower soaps, shampoo.

Our stay started with excellent communication from the owner proceeding to the most ideal location literally on the beach and close to town in a beautiful home well furnished and equipped that more than met our needs. We will gladly come back as there was so much to do and enjoy both in the home and the Galveston area we just needed more time! Really appreciate the owner his communications and going over and beyond to make her stay better than we could have expected! Thanks Mark👍

Mark and his wife were great to work with. He responded to questions in a very timely manner. They were also very accommodating. They went out of their way to go buy us a pack n play as we had our baby with.

This is our 3rd time staying at Kahala Kastle. We have very high standards and this home away from home has never fallen short. This time we had a slight problem with the elevator and Debbie was quick to respond and solve our problem. She was gracious and helpful. This was a particularly cold weekend for Texas so we spent most of our time indoors playing games, watching the large TV, relaxing on the electronic couch recliners, and hanging out with our extended family. We could still watch the waves from the warmth of the indoors through the huge wall of windows. The only negative I can think of is that the stove and hood were greasy upon arrival. It was likely just overlooked by the cleaning service. We were able to clean it right up with our cleaning supplies we bring along with us (paper towels/clorox wipes). This is easily disregarded considering all the positives this house brings. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Kahala Kastle!

Beautiful it was so easy to check in, views were the best. We spend many hours sitting on deck or walking on beach. Will definitely stay here again

Everything was excellent, we had a fantastic time staying at this property. The owner was incredible and very responsive. House was neat and clean and had everything needed for our comfortable stay.

This was our second time renting this property and we plan to return as often as possible. This spacious house was perfect for a short get away during these crazy times. Plenty of space to spread out in the house and on the deck for social distancing as needed. The house has some more wear and tear on it this time but it’s obvious the owners do everything they can to maintain it. The changes were just evidence of how difficult it is to maintain properties on the ocean. Nothing that will deter us from coming back as soon as we can.

Debbie worked hard to get new dirt in to shore up the beach side, two storms had wiped out the slope down to beach. It was easy access to beach, house was wonderful, elevator helped my husband and i very much. Everything worked, plenty of room, great location. Debbie and George were responsive to texts.

Everything was perfect! The house is great for just relaxing, playing games AND watching the astros. It’s spacious, clean and has a great view of the Gulf. Would recommend this house for the perfect get away!

Everything was awesome. The only wish there were more “lounge” like furniture on the porches. It would have been great to take a nap outside...

Can’t say enough great things about Kahala Kastle! It is absolutely beautiful with tons of big windows letting in natural light, gorgeous finishes in the kitchen and all the bathrooms., and two giant wrap-around decks. The beds and bedding are all super comfortable, TVs in all the bedrooms, and there are heavy curtains in the bedrooms to block out the light if desired. We brought two toddlers and all felt that the house was very quiet if someone napped, stayed up late, woke up early, etc. The beach access cannot be beat! Steps away from the back patio is sand and salt and there was hardly anyone else even visible in the beach the whole time we were there- very private! Check out process was easy with minimal clean-up required by guests. Just a note-- the fridge is cleaned out after every guest, so don’t count on leftover condiments, etc like some other rentals may have. They do have a spice drawer with lots of good things though! This was a great trip and we couldn’t have asked for a more incredible place to stay! ❤️

Great property, clean, great location and Debbie is easy to work with!

This was our first time to Galveston and we didn't really know what to expect. I have to say that Kahala Kastle exceeded all of our expectations. It started with the wonderful responsiveness of Debbie during the booking process and leading up to our visit. If you are in any type of service industry you know that you never "meet" customer expectations - you either under deliver or over exceed. In this case it was 100% over exceed. Once you walk into the main floor, you immediately kick into beach mode with the spectacular view. The main living area accommodated our party of 10 without a problem. We never felt crowded. The fact that there are three "master" bedrooms is a huge plus. Another thing worth noting which was a pleasant surprise is that there are two refrigerators. This was great since we brought food for our entire stay. The location is a big bonus as well - close enough to town to run there if you need something and yet the beach is private. Since the beach is literally steps from the house it is super easy to bring all the beach gear up at the end of the day and back down the next. The hot water outdoor shower and hose for rinsing off beach toys are an added bonus. It is no wonder that this property has so many repeat guests - it is a true gem and it is obvious the owners take pride in the property.

This home was terrific for our group of 9. The layout is great, with areas for eating and socializing inside and out. Furniture and beds were very comfortable, and everything was clean and as advertised. This stretch of beach is terrific for keeping social distance from other groups, but close to town for any errands needed. For stretches, we felt like we had our own private beach just a 10 second walk from the house. Water was shallow and warm, and great for the kids to play - they did get an occasional jellyfish sting , but not serious enough to keep them out of water Maybe just an occasional thing, but might want to bring some itch or aloe cream in case. Overall a great home and experience, and would definitely recommend.

Second year in a row to stay at this house. The house was perfect- just like new, and very clean. You cannot beat the location and distance to beach is only a few steps away. Due to COVID we stayed isolated at the house and never went into town. We felt very safe from the virus as the beach is also private so maintaining social distancing was absoulutely no problem. Will def be returning for another stay in the future.

We do a beach vacations a lot and always book a house for a week. So we have seen a lot of different houses and layouts and styles and amenities. Overall this was one of the best. You can't beat the location of this house. It's on a little street right off the main road. It's convenient into town but yet you are on a private beach. We loved being able to easily go back and forth between the beach and the house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Everything seemed new and it is very spacious. Our 4 kids loved the room with all the beds. The elevator was also a big help with our special needs daughter. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking in this area.

What a wonderful trip! We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Kahala Kastle! The house was gorgeous and had the perfect amount of room for our family of four plus all the grandparents! The owners were so kind and helpful and quick with communication. It could not have been more relaxing to wake up late, have a cup of coffee or breakfast on one of the balconies (plural!), go for a morning stroll on the beach, and then head out for a morning of beach fun. The house is directly on the beach (something I had never seen In Galveston!) and the shaded open-air first floor meant we didn't need to haul a tent or cooler down to the beach! We had it all at our fingertips! We were sad to leave but will absolutely be back!

When they say "Beach Front" they mean it! The location of this house was beautiful! Super quiet and clean section of Galveston. The housekeeping needs a bit of improvement, we found a couple of used toothpicks on the floor near the couch. Also it was evident that the kitchen cabinets (particularly near the trash can) and light switches had not been wiped down in quite sometime. Overall all we would stay here again. The owners have done a great job maintaining the property and it is well furnished!

This provided an amazing getaway for our family. The property was absolutely beautiful and gave use all the comforts of home with the added benefit of the beach just a few steps away!  We certainly needed this stress relieving vacation in the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak.  We felt very safe and distanced from everyone else around us. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Right on the beach, recently updated and very clean.. Great kitchen and living area with plenty of windows to watch the beach and surf. Elevator made access easy for the heavy stuff. Easy booking, check in and checkout. We come to Galveston every year...sometimes twice...and this is one of the best.properties we've stayed at. We'll be back.

My extended family and I traveled to Galveston for an extended Mardi Gras Weekend. We had the best time at the Kahala Kastle. The space was perfect for our large group. We could all sit in close proximity in the well thought out kitchen/dining/living room area so no one had to feel excluded from the group. From rental to check out, everything went super smooth. I had little communication with Debbie, because it just wasn’t necessary. I did message her once prior to checking in with a question and received a prompt response. The elevator made arrival and departure so easy lugging all of our food and belongings in and out. AND they have two full size fridges perfect for storing all our goodies for the weekend. We didn’t use the washer and dryer because we weren’t there long enough to need them, but they looked relatively new and in good working condition. The positioning of the house is so close to the beach you almost forget there are neighbors when you’re on the balconies looking at the ocean. It was windy and chilly for most of our stay so we didn’t use the balconies as much as we would’ve liked, luckily the large glass windows in every room still let us look out to the ocean from the comfort of the indoors. We have very high (almost impossible) standards for cleanliness and this place was top notch. There was one dead cockroach in a second floor bathroom when we arrived, which is hard to avoid if it wanders in after inspection but before our arrival. One bed had a long piece of hair in the sheets, which again is hard to avoid even after sheets are washed. We spotted a small stain on both the comforter and a curtain in the master bathroom, but again you could tell they had tried to clean it but it wouldn’t come out. All of these small things were outshined by the impeccable cleanliness throughout the rest of the house. The bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas were spotless and we have very high expectations (if you can’t tell by now). All in all, we can’t wait to come back and rent this stunning home again.
