Perfect, quiet part of the island, with view of the beach even from the first floor -- great porch area, we practically lived out there the whole time. Some basic maintenance could be done on door handles and sliding screens. Didn't realize smart TV meant you had to input your own subscription services, so be sure to bring your own passwords. Thanks for a lovely place to stay!

The location is great, but the house needs some serious work. The floors are very wavy and soft. My kids were actually able to race hot wheels cars on the floor by just letting them go. When we arrived one of the bathroom sinks was clogged, we pulled a plunger and were able to get it working again. When we went to take a shower the water faucet fell off when we pulled the handle to turn on the shower, leading to water shooting directly out of the wall. I immediately called the property manager and they said they would send someone out the next day. Maintenance arrived the next day around 11am and said it would be good to use in a little over an hour, when we went to take a shower that evening the same thing happened. The shower faucet in the other bath was loose and starting to separate from the wall as well. In addition, there in a dehumidifier in every room except the bathrooms. As a result of all the dehumidifiers the house is very loud, and it makes it very difficult to sleep at night as they kick on and off. The toilet paper holders are crooked and barely hanging on. When we arrived the back outdoor furniture was very dirty, from rain and blowing sand. I asked the property manager "Follys Best" for a discount and they said yes but then I never heard anything. The house definitely was not as advertised. We stayed in the off season but with taxes and cleaning fees we still paid way too much. I would say $300 per night, during the off would be fair due to everything listed.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic. It was quite and comfortable. The house had nice upgrades. It makes great use of the space available.

Can’t enjoy beach with pets between 10am - 6pm. We got run off. Neighbors to the left and right written tickets for alcohol in solo cups on the beach. They were families with kids just relaxing. Bugs and mildew smells in the house. Toilet paper holders coming off wall. Neighbors banging on floor and playing music all night on the 2nd floor of this house. Never coming back to this house OR Commie Folly.

Would stay again.

This was the perfect place for our family to act like absolute beach bums. It was private, quiet, and there was nothing better than opening the back door and putting your feet in the sand. We'll be coming back again.

Very nice rental property. Nice view of the ocean. All beds where comfortable. We would love to come back sometime.

We absolutely loved this property! Right on the beach, wonderful deck with lots of seating, great amount of space inside. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. It was less than 10 minutes to the downtown area and had private beach access. We will absolutely be back!

My wife and I needed a quick escape for 2 nights with our two little kids. Perfect spot and will be back!

The location of the property was excellent. Quiet beachfront. The unit itself lacked the quality we were expecting. We struggled with ants. The unit when I arrived was very musty / moldy smelling. There were sandbags over both sliding glass doors that I needed to remove. The beachfront bedroom did not have a sliding screen or a screen on the window so it stayed very musty smelling because we weren’t able to open the room up to air it out. The hot water setting is dangerously high. I probably would not select this unit again.

I was disappointed to find that I needed to empty water out of several portable dehumidifiers about 4 times a day. Also....I felt the lack of furniture in the bedrooms was inconvenient. We had to live out of suitcases on the floor. But.......the outside area and location were beautiful. I would stay in the area again but not in a basement unit.

Everything was good with the exception of the rental itself. Overpowering smell of mold when you walk in. Three de-humidifiers running full blast, requiring emptying every two hours day and night. HVAC sitting in the living room running full blast. All the fans going on high. Engine noise from all of this prevented any peace or conversation. There was visible black mold growing on the wall in the master bedroom. Someone had tried to clean it up, but did a poor job. Or it just grows quickly. Whole family was coughing, snotty, sore throat the entire time. We slept, sweating , outside just breath easy. We attempted to just be outside as much as possible. The management knows of the problem. Hides it from possible renters, and then rudely ignores it when you bring it to their attention. Stay away from this place, it is a health hazard. Management is dishonest, rude, and misleading.

So much fun! Property was more than perfect with walk-out directly to the beach! We made breakfast every morning, as some family slept in and others hit the beach at dawn-so no one was rushing to get gone to breakfast. Rental had all the necessary tools to make it, just add food! Close enough to many fun day trip places....lots of good food and drinks in the evenings!

Wonderful week on Folly beach! Heat was not working our first day but JJ came quickly to fix it. There was also a leak under the kitchen sink our last day - we reported it to JJ. He was so helpful! Overall a lovely place!

This property was great! We were right on the beach the second we opened the screen doors! The place is described perfectly. My sister and I came down for a wedding in Charleston and this place was worth the 30 minute drive to the venue! We had a great time and only wish we could have stayed longer!!
