Loved the location and the facilities. Ideal accommodation for 4 golfers who all prefer their own bedroom. Only criticism is constant hum heard and felt in all the bedrooms from HRV or furnace fan which cannot be turned off.

My family met in Gimli for the Islendigadaugarinn from Thursday to Monday. We really enjoyed staying at the cabin by the Lake Escape. We spent a lot of time on the big deck overlooking Lake Winnipeg. Everyone had a comfy bed to sleep in. The kitchen is well stocked. It was busy this weekend at the beach with people setting up their picnics next to the fence so it was noisy at times. We enjoyed the people watching so it wasn’t a problem for us. The hosts were very prompt in replying to my questions. Overall a great place to stay for a family reunion.

Our family had a great stay in Gimli and really enjoyed that the cottage was close to downtown but in the more quiet section of the beach. We could not have asked for a better cottage to meet our needs. Tom was very responsive to our messages and questions and was so nice to communicate with. We will be back next year!

We very much enjoyed our stay. There were 11 of us. Lots of room in the cabin and on the deck. Great location for beach use and walks. Our grandkids loved it, what a great family time. We used the fire pit both nights. The cabin was well supplied and very clean. Would definitely go again.

I have stayed in a lot of VRBO spots. This was the best owner communication I have ever had. Tom was very helpful and accommodating to all our needs. The homes were great and location perfect for our group Will be staying here again. The large living room area was really great where we all could be together comfortably with plenty of room

This cottage is extremely noisy. There is a constant sound of pumps running. We turned off heat, AC and HRV. Not sure if it is sump pump or if other pump was the cause of noise (perhaps radon removal pump?). One night it sounded like water pipes were bursting at 4 am. I can only think water heater was continuously dumping and filling up, but various rooms of cottage are locked up so could not determine cause of noise. Impossible to sleep in this this cottage, even with ear plugs.

We had a wonderful time staying at Cheryl and Tom's place in Gimli. Tom was quick to respond to any questions we had prior to and during our stay. The check-in process was exactly as described and the place was clean and perfect for our needs (4 adults plus children). We loved the location - directly across a public path from the beach, walking distance to a playground/splashpad or to the ice cream / fish & chips. Highly recommend Cheryl and Tom's place and look forward to going back there again!

We had a wonderful weekend in Gimli. The cabins location was perfect, and made going to the beach so easy. Most of the rooms had a ceiling fan so it didn't get too hot, except for in the kitchen (no ceiling fan in that room). The extra fridge in the living room was a bonus, and the deck was a great spot for us to visit and play cards. We were a family of 10, and the giant dining table fit us all perfectly which is a rare find.

I'm submitting the review on behalf of an adult group (7 in party) of well-travelled Vrbo clients. . . . Our three-night stay was amazing and we concluded that although the listing is 100-percent accurate it cannot do justice to the spectacular lake view, walkability, and the spaciousness, airiness, comfort of the cottage for special occasions. With unseasonably sunny/warm weather for early June, the cottage remained cool with great cross-ventilation. For those who prefer it cooler, AC is available. A perfect choice for families of all ages although in order to accommodate larger groups, accessing an upper bunk will be required! The owner truly deserves rave reviews for incredible attention-to-details, personal and timely communication, and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that guests' expectations are not just met but surpassed.

This was our first time using the VRBO site, and our first experience couldn't have been better! We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and recharge. The location was awesome, as everything was within walking distance and the space was perfect for our family of 5, plus our dog. The kids are already asking when we're going back!

My family and I travelled to the area for my fathers funeral. It was so nice to be able to all stay together while we grieve and have a place that felt like a home for us during our stay, rather than just a hotel.
This house was very easy to navigate and even maintain during our stay. We had so many other things going on to think about and this property seemed to lessen our load with a spacious, non-cluttered rental.
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home. Every time we return we’ll remember, “that’s where we stayed when our dad passed,” and it will be a beautiful part of our story.

Spotlessly Clean, Very Nice Helpers
We enjoyed our stay at this property and found it to be super clean, well-furnished, and located in a lovely shoreline area. We had a minor technical issue (TV) but it was rectified promptly by the nearby maintenance team, who were a distinct pleasure to work with. A nice location with effective management.

Perfect property and location for a group!
Tom’s cottage was perfect for our group weekend getaway. We were blown away by the location - you could see the lake from the living room! The cottage itself had plenty of beds and we really enjoyed the large picnic table inside for board games. Can’t wait to book again!

Beautiful modern cabin with great view of the lake
Very nice modern cabin right on the boardwalk in Gimli. Excellent kitchen. Nice large living room. Nice deck and outdoor sitting area. King sized beds in two of the bedrooms. Good wifi. Great place for a large family or multi family vacation.

Family get away.
Great place! Thought we got our mileage in just setting the table then clearing! Haha.
We were there with our four adult children and their spouses. We all figured it would be a great place to go for a summer weekend, where we could ride our bicycles and take the babies outside. We hit a really cold weekend.
My husband and I will be taking our bike out that way for ride this summer!

Spectacular Sunrise
We were very impressed by the cleanliness and the location of this property. The front sitting area and living space was spacious with the nice big windows allowing for seeing that spectacular sunrise over the (frozen) lake in the morning while enjoying your coffee. The house was well equipped with everything you need for a get away. We stayed in the winter months, however, there is a beautiful big deck and nice fenced in yard all facing the lake should you choose the warmer months. We could see the ice fishing huts and it was great to have the walkway all along the lake into the pier. Gimli had lots to offer and the weather was great to enjoy some of those activities like skating on the lake by the marina. Tom and Cheryl were very responsive to our questions and made sure we felt welcome during our stay by staying in touch. Thank you for a great weekend away.

Beautiful cottage
My family of 5 stayed here for a weekend getaway. It was extremely clean and tidy upon our arrival. The cottage itself is adorable with plenty of space, and the property was gorgeous, within walking distance to the main beach and plenty of restaurants/shops.

A comfy, warm and inviting space to relax with beautiful views, right next to the lake. A well equipped and spacious cabin for the family. We were very happy with our stay.

Beautiful cottage, great location!
This is an absolutely beautiful cottage, with lots of space to hang out and enjoy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need, and we really appreciated the Keurig! Home was warm and cozy, and kids loved going out onto the ice to skate. Would love to return!
