Just as described. Nice neighborhood!

We so enjoyed our stay in the Little Yellow House. The location was perfect for walkers like us. It was beautifully decorated and had a well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the coffee & tea! The Smart TV was easy to use and full of good options. There is a cute backyard too. Overall a terrific choice and we hope to return for another stay in the future.

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights while he attended an athletic camp at a local university. We were a 5 minute drive from the university and 5 minute walk to the lovely center of Ferndale. Perfect location. Easy access to all types of stores, great restaurants and easy access to highways to get back to the airport or a quick trip downtown. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a large bed and TV room In the basement. Everything was clean and very accommodating. I really appreciated the responsiveness of Liz and Zach although we never had any troubles or extra needs. I highly recommend the location.

Having grown up in detroit, with most family on the east side or points north, we needed a cofortable, congenial spot ... and found it. Prooett was clean, comfy and stylish, with much appreciated small things, like placement of night lights. Great value!

Love the location! Great neighborhood for walking. The house is close to Ferndale amenities. Lots of nice touches around the home for a very comfortable stay.

So I ended up staying here alone for an entire week. It was the perfect little house and I could see renting it for a girls weekend or couples weekend. The furniture they picked out fits perfectly and I loved that laundry was on the first floor. Location was close to great restaurants & grocery stores. I felt safe and there were single women walking their dogs through out the neighborhood. Backyard was cute & it was nice knowing the neighbors were watching out for me as well since I was alone. Owners were easy to contact if needed. I would definitely rent again

The home was very clean and well stocked with everything you would need for a stay. Beds were really comfortable. Way better than staying at a hotel. Liz & Zach were very helpful from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Spent Memorial Day weekend. This was a perfect experience. House is clean and nicely updated. Hosts are friendly and very communicative. Great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This house is attractively furnished and appointed, with everything one needs. The sheets are very soft, the toiletries are good, there is plenty of bathroom vanity space, and there are even several night lights thoughtfully placed. We would be happy to stay here again.

This was the second time our family stayed at this house. It was just as nice as the first time. Super clean. Everyone was comfortable. Great location for Ferndale and a great centralized location for Detroit/metro Detroit.

We were visiting the area for a wedding and needed a home base. This house was perfect. Exactly as advertised, clean, perfectly located for easy access to Ferndale restaurants and shops and also downtown Detroit. It was so easy to have our disabled four year old here and the house was cozy and well stocked. The owners were super thoughtful and responsive. We will stay here again and recommend to everyone!

Can’t wait to return. Love the decor, bed very comfortable, great neighborhood (walkable to many restaurants and a great grocery), spacious kitchen, safe feeling neighborhood, washer & dryer, and lots of nice features, including a work area. I only used the main floor (queen bed in one and twin in another).

I’m a business traveler who is over staying at hotels. This was a perfect alternative! The pictures are exactly what you get. Super clean and cozy. The owners were highly communicative and the neighborhood was quiet. Ferndale has so many wonderful shops and restaurants which are only blocks from the house. You can also shop at the family owned Western Market grocery store that provides locally sourced items which is a plus!! I have a new home away from home!

This house was just as it looked in the listing. It was very clean and well stocked. The owners were great at communicating and very helpful.
Walking distance to cute shopping and dining and an incredible bakery. Also a short drive to downtown Detroit, so we could easily get to those attractions but then return to the house as a peaceful oasis on the trip.
Will definitely book again if back in Detroit.

We loved our two nights at the Little Yellow House. Outstanding was the quietness of the neighborhood (I don’t think I heard a single thing all night) and the exceptionally well provided-for and thoughtfully organized rooms. Also, it was utterly clean (looks newly renovated). The basement, with a tv room and third bedroom, doesn’t smell like a basement at all, and was as warm as the upstairs. Very comfortable throughout.
The hosts were excellent communicators. Check in/out was smooth and easy.
We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this was one of the best. Thanks! We would love to come back!

We were in the metro area for a Lions game and wanted a comfortable location to make it a couples’ weekend. We found this little yellow gem…and it was absolutely perfect. The house is adorable, well furnished and has everything you need for a home away from home. The owners are wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable and welcoming space. Ferndale is a quaint, artsy community with a spectacular downtown area (not far from the house). We found some amazing shops, restaurants, and adult beverage establishments that just added to the charm of the area. It was a quick/easy drive to the game…and we will definitely look to do it all over again in the future. Highly recommend. Thank you for everything!

This house was perfect for our family trip. Our 7 & 4 year old were able to sleep comfortably in the basement , one in the big bed and one on pull out couch. I was able to easily cook some meals with all the cookware, pans, utensils etc. It was great to have a dishwasher and laundry to use. The backyard was nicely set up to eat with a big table. We walked to 9 mile a few times for shopping and restaurants. The owners were very kind, helpful and communicated things clearly.
We would definitely stay here again if/when we come back to the area.

Great space close to walkable wonderfulness
We loved this place! Exactly as pictured, well-stocked and cozy. The fully fenced back yard was a bonus for us with toddlers. Very walkable to downtown Ferndale.

Excellent Stay
This rental house was perfect. Beautifully decorated. Beds comfortable with largest bed in basement, we all ended up sleeping downstairs since it was cool. Very comfortable for a small family. Nice backyard space to let the kids run around. Would definitely stay again.

Exactly what we were looking for, nice little fenced in backyard with plenty of chairs and a big table, clean house with hotel quality sheets and plenty of pillows and towels. Fantastic location just a short little walk to downtown ferndale.

Perfect for us!
We were surprised and delighted with the house and location! The host was very accommodating to help with the comfort of our 1 yo - they supplied a pack and play, high chair, as well as toys. The place was very clean and decorated well. The fenced-in back yard was a joy for our toddler to explore. Will definitely plan on staying here again.

Great Stay at the Little Yellow House!
Such a clean and well appointed property! This was perfect for a 3 day stay in the Detroit Metro area. Very convenient to shops and resturants in Ferndale and highway access. Appreciated the owners special touches - filtered water, top shelf coffee pods, Detroit made snacks, plush towels and bedding, books highlighting Detroit, etc. Mattresses super comfy! This was a perfect spot to enjoy a trip to see family in the Detroit Metro area. Would definately book this property again!

Fantastic get-away in Detroit
Had a wonderful time staying here for a weekend while exploring Detroit with my fiancée. House is the perfect size for a couple or 2 to stay in and all amenities are up to date. Outdoor space is cozy but large enough for our small dog to have fun exploring. The hosts are friendly and respond in a timely manner to messages as well. Couldn’t recommend more

Modern, clean & cozy
A spontaneous weekend getaway in the Little Yellow House was enjoyed by all. We felt relaxed in the warm welcoming home. We enjoyed many activities in Ferndale & Royal Oak. The house is only a few minutes from shops, restaurants and entertainment. One Eyed Betty’s was delicious, The Rust Belt Market had unique shops. Main Donut Shop is a must try. The Good Day Selfie Museum offers great photo opportunities for the young at heart or selfie enthusiasts. We even had time to do the Harry Houdini escape room at the 5th Wall escape rooms. There is so much to do in the area you could spend an entire week in the Little Yellow House in Ferndale.

Beautiful Bunglow
Everything went perfect w/check-in & check out process. The home is spacious & beautifully appointed throughout. Very clean & modern. Kitchen had everything you need to cook...even some spices etc. We will be back!
