Great location for picture dome and centre of Holmfirth. Clean tidy and modern all the facilities you would want

Lovely styled cottage with well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. Great views from the back windows. Really convenient for getting into and out of town.
We stayed with friends and although we had a great nights sleep, unfortunately the next door neighbours (also a rental property) decided to throw a party from 2am until 5am which caused our friends to get very little sleep in the basement bedroom. We were more than a bit disappointed as we had respected the request to keep the noise down for our neighbours. Not the fault of the owner but certainly not ours.

Parking was a bit of a squeeze. However, I knew that before I booked and it's a very old part of the town. Parking was always going to be tight.

Cottage is spot on, nothing to complain about.
The hill climb, and slippery cobblestones leading to the cottage, I suppose we could have used the road, but decided to take a short cut. Not a good idea for two old guys.

Basement bedroom with only toilet on top floor. Fine for a short stay.
Steep climb from centre to cottage and narrow roads leading up to the cottage.

The apartment was clean and comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped. The proximity to the town centre was great, although very steep.
The bedrooms were 2 floors apart so the couple in the downstairs room had 2 floors to walk up to use the bathroom.
It was not easy to park - the "street" is a narrow and steep lane only wide enough for a line of parked cars and one car to pass. We had to go quite a way up the road to find a space.
