This is a fantastic house that is obviously a rental. It is beaten up pretty badly inside. The walls are scraped and battered, the carpet needs to be replaced. It needs a fresh coat of paint, new dishwasher and dryer. I felt that the only thing clean when we arrived was the sheets on the bed. Whoever the cleaning people are should be ashamed. There was hair in every bathroom shower. The floors were dirty. The baseboards are splattered. There was a coat of dust ontop of the fridge, dirty oven mits with food coating them in the drawer. The rugs are stained and looks like a pet has peed on them in various places. On the flip side, this house is in a great location and we loved the layout. The furnishings are tasteful. All the TVs are smart TVs in each room. What this poor house needs is a lot of TLC and a DEEP CLEANING. Vacasa was pretty “clueless” as we tried to check in after hours and could reach No one. The next day it was if they didn’t know who we were. Turns out our check in packet was in their after hours box, but we could not reach it as no one answered the phone or emailed us a the code to access it. If I owned this house and trusted Vacasa to manage it and clean it between renters, I would find another company, because they’re not doing their job. I assumed being “off season” we would certainly have a cleaned house. During peak summer time I could see there being issues with cleaning, but during the winter there is no excuse. It was as if the cleaning crew came in and just changed the linens and towels and that’s it. I spent the first day vacuuming with a broken vacuum. We really liked sunset island as a community. And this is a wonderful house for a large family. Lots of steps, so if you have older folks that can’t do steps, this is not the house for you. The kids loved it. If this house had been properly cleaned and wasn’t so gross inside I would’ve given it 5 stars. It’s a shame that the cleaning people and Vacasa dropped the ball.

Comfortable, clean accommodations with nicely appointed kitchen (lots of dishes, glassware and large table), living room furniture updated and clean. Loved the porch overlooking canal and 2 front porches. Sunset Island is great for family vacations. Recommend having the outside shower operational as no where to wash off sand and also could not locate a broom.

As far as amenities and cleanliness, this was a concern. Upon arrival, the entranceway in front of the Townhouse was loitered with debris and left-over firework wrappings. Upon entry at the rear of the house through the garage, there were dead insects/bugs every where (surely one couldn't miss the huge dead dragonfly in the foyer) and other dead bugs throughout the house. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper for the entire house. Some of the bathrooms were missing drains, appeared dirty, and the dining room fan was not in working order. There was also a lack of towels and bed covering. One of the bathrooms was so dirty with soap scum. Clearly the cleaning company didn’t do anything. Even the carpets throughout the house were covered in hair and visibly can see that they were not vacuumed. On vacation I spent the day cleaning the house when the house should of been CLEAN! The refrigerator did NOT keep the food cold enough (needs fixing)but the freezer did work. I look forward to hearing from VaCasa/VRBO at your earliest convenience.

Great place! Short walk to pool. You have to be sure to take your key card/pass each time to the pool. There were no hand towels for the kitchen or pot holders. Family friendly. Would definitely recommend

Close to community entrance which meant walking distance to amenities, restaurants, stores, etc. was convenient. But PLEASE do not show up with two full sized pickups! If you do, one will need to purchase parking in front of the unit for $70. However, the front parking was extremely handy, it was just a shock that both our trucks would not fit in either the garage or the paved area in front of the garage without a 40 point turn and ground guides!

The house is near the main entrance and despite this fact was amazingly quiet traffic wise. There was even a collision a half a block away that we did not hear until emergency units started coming in. The only three reasons I did not give a 5-star review was that there was construction and painting going on the whole time we were there. The noise was annoying at times, but when I came in the bathroom with my wife in the shower and found two guys at the window painting with no curtains or shades available, I was not happy. My wife stayed in the shower until they finished painting the window and they took the hint of my glaring at them to finish quickly. The last two reasons are that the deck furniture needed a power wash and there were cobwebs in the stairwells and some rooms. The dirty deck furniture kept us from enjoining the warm nights like we would have liked, but in fairness, in season started right when we were leaving. All in all, we enjoined our time there and would return hoping that the painting and construction was over, and the other items corrected.

Great house on an private, secured island...just one block from the main road (coastal highway) and close to alot of attractions. Many floors and beds, room for all 7 of us very comfortably. Linens are provided but have to bring own toiletries (tissue paper, soap, laundry and dishwasher detergent). We'll definitely book again!
