Only the TV and the bedding

The shower was always overflooded, so not convenient when taking a shower. The shower was flooding upstairs and leaking downstairs in the lounge when taking a shower. Locating the apartment was difficult for delivery-man or taxis and it wasn't easy to explain.

The property was excellently situated for a great stay in Southend. It was clean, well decorated and the beds were extremely comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

The outside of the property could maybe do with a little re-ferb but didn’t affect my stay.

Hamlet Mews was very clean and well presented. On entry we were all pleasantly surprised with accommodation. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The location is tucked away off the main road so car parking feels private and safe. The property is very near the beach, attractions and other amenities, just minutes by car or 10-20 mins walk dependant on where you are going. Excellent places to go for children. We visited, Adventure Island, Sea Life Adventure Aquarium, an arcade is nearby.

The hosting company could've provided better a better explanation, and with a photograph of where Hamlet Mews is located. When you input the post code into your sat nav it'll take you to a seemingly different address. However, the address is correct. The Mews is tucked away behind the road/house the post code takes you too but this is not obvious so explaining this would be useful especially for those who arrive at the property after dark. Also, a picture of the archway that leads to the Mews would be useful, as at first glance it looks like a business. Luckily the locals are very friendly and all too happy to help you locate the property (at least that was our experience !)

Key safe worked well, also the fact there was parking included, outside the property, was also great. It was just a 5 minute stroll to the centre and 8 minutes to the beach, so perfect location!

The beds were slightly uncomfortable and rooms were very very hot at night and there were no fans (in summer). The ring door bell felt slightly intrusive also. However the whole Signable document and all the ID checks we’re totally unexpected and unexplained when I booked through booking.com, there was also an additional step to pay a deposit of £150!

Brilliant accommodation , very spacious and had good facilities. Also only 5 minutes walk to the beach.

WiFi and tv was not working and it didn't get fixed on stay! Also tricky to find

it was annoying having to give a £100 deposit. I stay in a lot of properties for work and never have to do this. also there was a lot of paperwork to fill in before our stay. I was filling out a lot of the same information over and over, seeing as we booked through booking.com it felt a bit over the top.

The front door lock kept sticking, there was a button hanging out of the sofa the broom cupboard didn't shut ,one of the door wraps on the bathroom cupboard was on the floor when we arrived some of the rugs were a trip hazard the meter cupboard door kept banging in the wind

House was booked for some of our workmen. Fantastic spacious and very clean apartment.

The deposit and the issue with booking

Free car parking, ample space in property, location to town, sea front and station. Superficially nice decor.

After booking with booking.com, the booking was dealt with by Sorted Stay who required a lot of security information which was time consuming to provide. I also provided £250 deposit for any damages that may occur during our stay. So on arrival we were horrified to note that one bed base was broken and the bed had been freshly made up, even though it could not be slept in. The shower did not work. The tumble dryer did not work. There were no light bulbs in bedside lamps, this didn't really matter as there were no bedside sockets to plug the lamps in to. Under the stairs, in the kitchen there was a nail hanging out at head height of my toddler grandson. The seal in the washing machine was filthy and screws were in it. There were also screws on the floor in the lounge. This was not good having a 12 month old who puts everything in his mouth. The door to the cleaning cupboard underneath stairs did not shut, another temptation for toddler. There was no handrail on the stairs. The joints of carpets were not finished off. The bathroom window did not shut. All drawers were broken or faulty. The door from bathroom cabinet had been taken off and was used as a mirror on window ledge. The socket was hanging off the wall in twin room. We found clothing left behind under the bed. This house could be lovely. I paid over £1300 it was not worth this. Thankfully I got my £250 back after highlighting issues. I was told I would get a 50% refund for first night due to issues on arrival, this has not yet been received. I do not normally give bad reviews but this was poor.

The property is spacious and it really like everything was newly renovated. Some components were quickly put together, but it's close to the PIer and you have easy access to everything.

Some thing in the property were falling apart. One of the showers stopped working, but overall the rooms are great. It's located right next to a gaybar which either is your thing or it isn't. The property is managed by a separate management company and it cost me WAY TO MUCH TIME to deal with the checkin process. I'm from canada and my credit cards weren't accepted and things were just a big pain. I enjoyed the house, but not sure i ever want to go through this again.

The decor and furniture all beautiful, new, stylish. Everything you need! The rooms were lovely, beds comfy, cute decor. Only a 5 min walk into town, the house is tucked away off the Main Street so very private.

We were nervous to pay the deposit as the original method to place a hold on the account didn’t work, but their communication was great and the deposit was refunded very quickly. Nothing disappointed our stay it was amazing!

Bed was so comfy lots of pillows , nice large house , nice and clean .

I still haven't got my deposit back 5 days later and its £250 , 1 shower didn't work , we was woken up my workman trying to gain entry to property, mold on the shower , no garden
