Beautiful, spacious and clean room with a view on the ocean! Room was comfortable and stylish.

The location is great, right in the middle of the city centre. As i went in the low season, the place was very calm, could even hear the waves crashing when the doors were open. The rooms and common areas are new and very comfortable. This hostel offers a good quality service, it's possible to see in the details, like the bed made with towels and a bottle of water upon arrival, for a bed in a shared dormitory in a hostel, my experience is that this is quite rare, also, I arrived three hours before my reservation stated just to leave my backpack and it was all already prepared. The staff was great, particularly Sandra, she was very thoughtful.

Don't let the name hostel fool you. This looks like a fairly new or renovated place. The property is right on the beach basically. My room was clean, comfortable and very nice looking. Check in was seamless. The best part though was the view from the balcony. It was a gorgeous sea view. Let me just say that the staff (Sandra) was amazing. She made restaurant recommendations, she was pleasant and ever so helpful. She even ordered a taxi to take us to the airport. A must stay if you're ever in Terceira. I was in room 1 so I know that room has a sea view for sure.

We have loved it all!!! This is the second time we stayed at Facing Bay and we can not wait to come back. It feels like home! Sandra is the warmest host and we thank her for all her help and attention during our stay.

Everything! The room is beautiful and super clean, the view makes you feel so blessed and the common areas are fantastic to share as well with other guests and the staff (heads up to Sandra at the reception for her smile and recommendations). We have loved the place so much that we feel home and we are coming back next week for a last night before going back to Europe!

Oh my stars. This place was incredible.Do NOT let the name "Hostel" put you off (as it did my partner) Facing Bay was as nice or nicer than any small hotel I have ever stayed in. the decor, the common kitchen (Perfect), the beds, the bathrooms, the views (request an ocean view)

The host was amazing! felt like family from the first introduction. This definitely doesn’t feel or look like a hostel. the views are unmatched and the location is perfectly placed on the beach with the city walking distance behind you. Will stay here every time I visit!

The rooms were very spacious, with comfy beds and high quality bed linen - a lovely sleep right by the beach listening to the waves coming in. The shared kitchen was super well equipped, with a washer/dryer, and nice teas and coffees were made available to guests. We also loved all the tips from the host, thank you!

The doors open with an app on your phone which means one needs to take the phone around at all times (e.g. even to the beach or washing your laundy). For those desiring less screen time this is a bit of a drag, so having a keycard could help (like we got one - thanks for that).

Amazing property. Attention to detail is obvious in decor and amenities. Close to everything. Harbour views are amazing. Clean. Safe for solo travellers. Highly recommend.

Staff was very helpful and gave recommendations to us for our stay in the island. Very thoughtful and helpful.

I stayed in a shared dormitory room and I was really satisfied with my choice and the whole experience. The room and the hotel space was extremely clean and well-maintained, and also great attention to detail when it comes to interior. The host and the owner of the hotel was really helpful! It was a pleasure to meet her, have a little chat and also get the tips for the island. Overal I am really satisfied with this choice and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a calm, comfortable and very central stay in Praia da Vitoria

Awesome location on the beach!

I ve travelled alot and yet this was the best room i have ever stayed! Absolutely superb! The room was magical and the view stunning!

The owners were so helpful and friendly, we really felt welcome. The city is nice and small, we recommend hireing a car to see the rest of the island. The beach was stunning.

This was one of the best places I have stayed in 12+ years of traveling. the owners, Joseph and Mena are incredibly kind. The view is beautiful, the town is so cute, and I cannot wait to come back.
