Beautiful view.

Advertised as clothing optional and catering to LGBTQ and both were no longer the case. Two hot tubs not working, and third luke warm at best, water in the shower occasionally did not work, and room with a kitchen had the dullest knives, impossible to properly cut or cook anything.

The Chef had no clue how to make a caprase salad. It was on the menu with the ingredients and he wasn't close. It was stacked slice cheese from a package stacked straight up like a burger without any mozzarella, basil, oiive oil, basalmic. It was awful He also completely missed on Ceviche. He served it like it was a bowl of Soup. Garlic bread also wasn't close. Dinner prices here are very high as well (beware) No food service after breakfast until 3pm. (nothing but the bar)

Fabulous location with gorgeous views from the room as well as from the pool and breakfast area. The lower jacuzzi in the forest area is absolutely lovely by day and night, a pleasure to bathe and socialise in the midst of nature. Breakfast was delicious and a good choice of possibilities. The hotel is near to restaurants, cafés and shops with a really good range of food and drink on offer. The room was calm, relaxing, comfortable and spacious with very necessary and effective airconditioning.

Nothing, really, everything was of a high standard and I had no niggles.

This hotel was the place to be, I went as a solo female and felt very safe. The owner Jaret is one of the coolest humans, super chill and laid back. The manager Johanna, goes out of her way to make sure you’re having a great time and feel safe, she is the ultimate customer service Queen and I adored her. The guys at the bar Javier, the hot bartender who is so nice who makes you have a great time and is always checking on you and Miguel who has a contagious smile were awesome. Then breakfast, the waitress Kenya is adorable and so sweet and then Rosa who makes the most delicious breakfast I ever had in my life. The cleaning staff is trustworthy and hilarious. Everyone is amazing and I can’t wait to stay there again. Made my absolute amazing vacation even better. Everything is in walking distance, some beaches bit further, but if I can walk it anyone can. Bank is directly across the street, which is convenient. The views….. Amazing!!!!!! This place and the staff will forever be in my memories and everyone should stay here. Always good music playing as well.

solar hot water did not provide any hot water in the evenings or in the mornings. this was very annoying and the worst part of our stay. we didn’t like the cold showers

The breakfast was consistently great and served with friendly smiling faces. The view of a lifetime was good to enjoy while eating and the occasional monkey visits also added to the experience.

One suggestion I would have would be an updated way to enter the rooms. A keypad system would make going and coming from the pool much easier without having to keep up with keys. I did have to bother staff to open the room for me. Surprisingly only once because it is an automatic lock so if you set your keys down you are out of luck. Not a deal breaker but could be an easy convenient upgrade.

The fantasic pool bar stuff and the great view from the pool deck manage to save the stay.

The hotel had its good years. there is a considerable renovation backlog. Almost all mirrors are blind, desserts are missing, bedside lighting is missing, safes broken and beeping, steps broken on stairs, jacuzzi half full and broken, covered, public toilets covered. The worst is the reception. Lazy and inept. Even when strangers broke into the hotel, he remained inactive. It was the manager's friends who bothered the guests. The manageress also incompetent. I wonder how you can hire a woman in a gay hotel who doesn't understand her guests at all. The billing of the bar is not comprehensible and it says more than it should. Terrible!

It’s place it’s a complete waste of money they need a serious renovation , they sale a suite ocean view and all you see was a door and steps, the poor and bad actitud of staff at check inn it’s so inappropriate and out line the lag of empathy it’s sad to the point miserable way they treated people with disabilities.

Large and comfy room with amazing view. Beautiful pool and hot tub area with great bar service, perfect for the rainy afternoons in October. The clothing-optional policy at the pool made it even comfier. The bed with extremely comfortable, AC worked well, great room service. The served breakfast by the pool was always excellent. Also there, lovely attention by the staff.

The rooms could use some mild renovation but overall quality is still good. The "Enchanted Forest" was sadly out of order after recent rain damages.

Promotion

The hotel is not in Puntarenas at all, in fact it is about 20miles away from there. And It is hard to contact the hotel with either email or phone. I tried so many times to contact the hotel, but the man is rude and gives no help at all. IT SUCKS!

The bed. Cheap and rough, but the rest of the property makes up for it. They had issues with hot water in some rooms.

The breakfast was wonderful each morning. The view from the property was amazing.

The bed was less than desirable. It was entirely too hard.

Excellent location and setting - perched on a hillslope, almost all rooms have at least a partial view of the ocean. All the rooms are below the level of the main road, therefore insulated from traffic noise. CLOTHING-OPTIONAL swimming pool area - this was the deal-breaker for booking this hotel, and it did not disappoint. Very low-key, relaxing and freeing atmosphere. Excellent and responsive service staff - from breakfast-preparer to house-keeping to receptionist staff. Very good breakfast options included. Multiple diverse and excellent dining options within walking distance.

Minor infrastructure and maintenance problems, e.g. slow-draining shower stall, finicky door lock, non-functional electronic safes. When we notified the office that the shower in our first room, #9, was not draining properly, they promptly sent over a person who tried to unclog the drain. Unfortunately he did not have the right tool. Then the locking mechanism of the entrance door coincidentally broke down. To their credit, we were immediately moved to another room, #11. In our opinion, this room is not as good as room #9 because the bedroom and the bathroom are both smaller and with peculiar dimensions. Also due to its orientation we could hear noise transmission from the bar the whole time the bar was open.
