Very centrally located in Platanias, but still far enough off the main street to make it wonderfully secluded and peaceful. The most gentle and helpful staff you could wish for. I felt at home here from the beginning to the end! Such a treat to stay at this low key but clean and stylish hotel. Will definitely return 😊

- very, very!! noisy drain pipe, every time someone flushes the toilet or took a shower we heard a strange noise that even wakes us up a few times - very loud street noise from the cars even in the night - easly noise from the maids

The rooms are clean and beautiful. Dimitri makes the best breakfast and is a great host. You feel very welcome.

Dimitris and his family are very nice, they helped us with everything. The pool is fantastic, the breakfast is also perfect. Amaryllis offers a wonderful place for your stay on the east side of Crete. Platanias is a very nice and versatile town. The rooms are spacious and clean. One very nice detail is that you can flush your toilet paper, which sounds trivial, but is a precious luxury on the island of Crete. Dimitris, the manager, is always friendly, accommodating and fun. He can often be found manning the pool bar, where you can order a nice tosti, salad or gyros plate. I will definitely come back here.

it was expensive comparing with other places where I stayed

Dimitris was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for him and always gave us great pointers as to where to go regarding the island... After the first nights stay we wanted separate bedrooms and we was expecting to pay so we went and spoken to him and he didn’t want nothing for changing us rooms!! What a great gesture his words was “If you are happy, I am happy” Very friendly and always up for a chat. I can’t recommend this place enough and the fact it’s family run makes the world of difference. Lovely and clean rooms too! Great hospitality and myself and Rob would like to say our deepest thank you for making our stay a great one! When we return to Greece we will definitely be staying here! -Chris
