parking was hard the shower was really low - suitable height for a child and fittings were loose toilet seat - completely loose

Owners swapped our booking at no notice, did not notify us. When we called they were unsympathetic to the inconvenience they caused us. The door fell off the hinged when we opened it, the mattresses had large dip in them, we were not told about the parking situation and received a parking ticket on the evening we arrived. The owners have not acknowledged my complaint and have not responded to chasers. In result, our trip was tainted by an uncomfortable and grotty accommodation that was not the place we booked.

house was exactly was we needed, spacious, extremely clean and decorated to a high standard. Carl and Brian were very helpful and made us feel welcome. The whole group loved our stay and will book again.

The only positives about this property is that it was close to Alton towers and all the rooms were spacious. The nearest parking space was a few streets away, dog mess strewn all around the pavement up and down the street (which i understand you can’t control), but it just added to the unkept look of the property, street and are. The property needs a makeover outside as well as inside and i would describe it as being more in keeping with a short term let for renters on lower incomes than a holiday let..

The smell of damp was overpowering on entering the property in addition to the plug-ins trying to mask it. It was maintained and decorated to a very poor standard - very slap dash with minimal effort given. Dirty windows and mouldy sealant surrounding them. Cupboard in room nailed shut, large water damaged patch on living room ceiling, and other small water damaged patches in other rooms. Skirting boards thick with dust which hadn’t obviously been cleaned for weeks, paint all over kitchen floor tiles, strip light missing on room off of the kitchen and their blinds filthy. Fridge had a pungent smell, door leading to the bin access area all scuffed and the passageway covered in cobwebs and again needed scouring. Spoke to proprietor on arrival via tel phone who was adamant it had just been decorated to a high standard. I can only add 4 photos but have so many more

We LOVED everything! But there wasn’t a washing line, so we had to hang all clean washing up all over the heaters, but that wasn’t an issue at all, just made the house more cosy!

The location was great. We stayed here for Alton Towers, so was not far to travel each day. There was also enough space for 8 of us, 2 families of 4. This house is great value for money. The beds were very comfortable

There were a few bits we had to share with the owners afterwards - not as complaints but recommendations. There was a nail sticking out on the threshold from the kitchen to the outside. There were ants in the kitchen, not lots but needs looking at. Cooker hood needed fixing. There was a leak under the sink that flooded the floor in the kitchen on the last night

Had a great experience dealing with the hosts, they were very responsive and helped us settled in well. Perfect accommodation for my family, will definitely book again when in stoke

Being woken by someone banging the door at 9:30 pm, claiming to be the “person who takes care of the property” and that I need to open the door so he can speak to me. Then he got annoyed I wouldn’t open the door to speak to him. Then the property manager calls me to say that the man at the door is actually someone who takes care of the property and that he’ll be moving the bins. He then proceeded to move the bins whilst making as much noise as possible- scaring my children.

only fault was the middle single bed was uncomfortable

The road was quiet, there was a lot of space. All the basic items were available. The house was very warm with all the hot water we needed.

The house was a little tatty. Not enough seating for 7, let alone 9 people. The neighbours like a Friday night party.

The space is amazing and it is very clean.

Very clean, spacious and comfortable, the dining room is great as we were able to eat together as a family. Brian & Carl were excellent hosts.

The house was clean and tidy on our arrival, rooms were spacies, also the dining room, living room. Highly recommended to families.
