This is a lovely and very charming little cottage. It was clean, warm and welcoming and we loved the log burner, for which logs and kindling were supplied. There was plenty of hot water. The bed and sofa were really comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We loved the rocking chair. Coffee tea and a bottle of wine were supplied as well as some absolutely lovely eggs freshly laid by the resident chickens - and Jo gave us another six to take home with us which we really appreciated. The chickens are super friendly and we enjoyed watching and chatting to them. The bed linen was crisp and pretty and there were spotlessly clean white towels. The location is great - a really short walk to the nature reserve and beach and a short drive from West Mersey beach if you want something less quiet. Our hosts, Jo and Ru, were so nice and helpful. They live on site which would be handy should problems arise - not that we encountered any problems at all during our stay. Our dog was made welcome and the outdoor enclosed space was very helpful as we knew he was safe out there.

It is hard to find anything we didn’t like but if I were being super picky, the bathroom is a wet room and the tiling does not extend far enough to protect the plastered walls, so using the overhead shower makes the walls wet and there are couple of cosmetic issues as a result.

We loved the barn, the location was excellent, the setup and facilities worked really well for us, it was super peaceful and we'd love to come back.

Location is lovely. Close to Country Park and beach.Bed and linens were very clean. Kitchen sink and tops were clean

The barn was comfortable but could do with a bit of a face lift. Outdoor wooden furniture had slats missing and looked shabby. The wet room had damp patch by skirting and floor didn’t appear to have been cleaned, also the brick floor in living area needed a mop over it. Door locks were not functioning properly it took a while to open the locks as you had to manipulate before opening, and in the event of an emergency could have proved dangerous. I noted from advertising that hosts would leave a welcoming bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival. Just teabags and biscuits. Had no contact with hosts

Very peaceful location and wonderful walks.
