My wife and I had such a relaxing time. The property was very clean and matched up nicely with the online photos. We will definitely be back!

Cons: Had trouble entering propery at checkin and had to call office for assistance because the code didn't work. Lake was so low you can walk on the old road that used to be submerged. The neighbor said they found bones from an old cemetery after the lake dried up. Was not aware it was that low!! Pretty scenery but little water. Saw teens "parking" on Friday night from our backyard. Pros: saw raccoons, deer! Had everything we needed, coffee, toiletries, towels, etc. Bottled water was appreciated. Close to town! Nice back porch. Would stay again if water was at normal levels.

Omg! I love the cabin/small house 2 rooms but beautiful and comfortable. A great view to the land to walk and see. It was quiet, peaceful and enjoyable!

Water was extremely low but was still able to anchor the wave runner in the lake was a bit of a walk back to cabin. Cabin was nice would stay here again only suggestion would be to leave more then one trash bag for tenants and more then 1/2 roll of TP we have lots of garbage and nowhere to put it, had to run and get TP on day one. If I would have know would have brought some with us.

This was our 2nd time to stay in Ruth and it was a great stay. The only thing I was sad about, no fault of the property management company, was the water levels are extremely low due to the drought. The lake was still enjoyable, just had to walk a little further. Again, this is no one’s fault, just know before you go that you may not be able to walk straight out and enjoy the water.
The place is immaculate and is a very quiet location. We even got to meet and visit with a neighbor. We’ll definitely be back since we love this place so much!

Millie's place was a family friendly and convenient to all the places you can visit around Canyon Lake. The interior was modern and clean and there was plenty of space for the 4 of us to spread out. The kitchen featured a big oven, and we also used the outdoor BBQ to cook up some steaks from the food mart down the road. Ruth's cabin had more than enough places to sit outside and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The water was a bit low, but access to the beach near the boat ramp made up for it. We were lucky enough to meet "Joyce the neighbor" and hear some fun stories and experiences from the past 50 years.

The cabin was very nice and clean. It worked good for us (3 adults n 1 kid). Kitchen had everything you needed including bbq tools; there's even baking pans should you desire to bake or cook in the oven. There were sufficient towels and there were linens and pillows for the pullout sofa (not sure if all other cabins may have this since we asked and were told to take our own but that was no biggie). We were able to see some deer, which was a nice treat for all of us. The bed was comfortable, the only thing was the frame would make noise whenever you moved on the bed but other than that everything was great. We definitely consider coming back.

Quiet , safe and beautiful stay! All appliances worked, showers were nice and hot! We really enjoyed our stay, Ruth was so great to us ! :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ruth Cottage 1. Very clean and quiet. Bed is a little noisy when sleeping, but other than that our entire experience was perfect!! We will most definitely be back. This quiet gem and it's surroundings is the perfect getaway.

A couple negatives: a few of the linens were not clean and the beach is crowded with people that aren't guests.
