This property is fantastic! Having stayed in many apartments, I would definitely rank this property highly. It has a great location that's close to town (easily walkable) but is still private, great amenities including the pool, as well as easy communication with Olivia and property manager Luis. Would highly recommend!

Our family had the most amazing stay at Villa Cherimoya over the Christmas and New Year holiday. We were greeted by our host Olivia who gave us a sweet and quick walk through of the home. The location could not be better! You don't have an ocean view, but are surrounded by the most lush gardens. I was more than happy to forgo an ocean view to be a five minute walk from the beach and the start of the north end of town. You are close to everying and also completely private. I was overjoyed to not need a golf cart for anything. Iris, who cares for the home during your stay, is an absolute angel. If you know some Spanish and have an opportunity to chat with her you should take advantage. Not only is she the kindest person you will ever meet, but her family is one of the few Sayulita natives and she is full of knowledge. Olivia & Barry, our hosts, were above and beyond. There to help with anything when we needed. Also very helpful (and calming) regarding the new COVID testing required to get back into the US. For those of you this applies to, the process at the airport to get tested was very easy. Just allow yourself enough time so you aren't stressed about missing flights!

The location is perfect- an easy 5 min walk to the center of town, even less than that to the beach. The property is spacious, beautiful, and comfortable with good wifi (rare for sayulita). Olivia is a wonderful host and knows all the best restaurants, beaches, hikes, and bars. She's super easy to work with, communicates quickly, and is a very sweet person. We loved our stay, and will come back!

We LOVED our stay at Villa Cherimoya. It was clean, beautiful and exactly as advertised in the listing. It’s a short walk to town and the beach but still far enough away from the busy center of town. We spent mornings drinking coffee in the living room with the sliding doors to the deck wide open, afternoons laying by the pool or swimming after exploring the town and evenings making drinks in the kitchen before heading out to dinner. The owner, Olivia was amazing! She was super friendly and helpful and made our stay even better than expected. It felt like we had a friend in town giving us suggestions and recommendations and helping us with whatever we needed. There are also several great restaurants just a block away. We loved Tropical House for appetizers, drinks and live music and frequented the beach just down the road from our house. The only complaints we had were that the beds were very hard which made it difficult to sleep and the hot water only lasted a few minutes so we took several cold showers. The cold showers were actually kind of nice at times, but upgraded beds would be a huge improvement. Regardless, we would absolutely come back and had an amazing and unforgettable stay!

This beautiful home is located right by the beach, unique restaurants and city. The owners are super responsive and made lovely recommendations. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Can’t wait to return.

Jose was excellent. If we needed anything, he was very helpful. Very quiet in this area and you could walk to town. After 2 days of walking, we rented a golf cart and that worked great too.

Would recommend the property; great location, very clean and quiet area. Caretaker Jose was very helpful and readily available. Beautiful quiet beaches just a few minutes away. Heated pool is a nice amenity.

We loved the north side neighborhood and proximity to the beach. After a day out sightseeing, it was great to come back to a quiet, peaceful, clean and comfortable house. We used the pool and cabana area a lot, even during the rainy periods. Enjoyed the privacy of this part of the house, as well as the nature around us when we were outside -- trees, flowers, birds, butterflies. The hosts have created a very special place here.

Jose the property manager was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, helpful and whatever we needed he made it happen! The villa itself is beautiful and comfortably slept 4 (1 couple, 2 singles). Chips and homemade pico de gallo and guacamole were there put in the fridge for our arrival as well as a bag of delicious coffee. All the conveniences of home! Private pool, which is important to me. The driver was fantastic! This was my first time in Mexico and I am so happy to have stayed at this villa!

If you can- you must stay at Villa Cherimoya! It is a design wonder. I can not say enough about how beautiful the house and garden is and how well taken care of guests are. Jose, the caretaker, was so genuine and helpful. Idis, the housecleaner, was so sweet and made us the best meal we had while visiting Sayulita. We are still dreaming about it! Sayulita is a charming town, and staying in Villa Cherimoya completely made our trip. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We did not want to leave.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house in a great jungle setting. The house is as nice in person as it is in the pictures, very modern and clean. The landscaping is outstanding and the outdoor living space is very comfortable. The location was ideal, a couple blocks from a quiet beach, short walk to downtown but far enough away for peaceful evenings. The staff were very attentive and friendly, Jose was always available and responsive. We also had the maid Iris and her Mom prepare dinner for us one evening, delicious and authentic. We would not hesitate renting this house again if in the area, thank you.

My husband and I and our 2 children (9 and 11) stayed in this house for 10 nights in Feb 2019. We absolutely loved this house and the location. We were greeted with some cold beers, homemade guac and pico de gallo which was so appreciated and so delicious! We were also provided with coffee for the morning. Way to make us feel welcome! It was perfect and we didn't have to leave the house that first evening while we settled in. The house itself was amazing and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved that we could open the whole thing up and have a wonderful open air space to spend our time in. The house was absolutely spotless as well. Which is really amazing considering how open air it is. You can tell that the owners pay special attention to every detail and to the upkeep of the house. We really enjoyed the pool and appreciated that it was heated! This made for some wonderful evening swims. Jose was fantastic and able to help us with anything that we needed. The locked gate at the bottom of the driveway as well as the fact that the doors to the house lock when closed made us feel perfectly safe all of the time. The location of the house could not have been more perfect. Sayulita is a crazy (good crazy!) little town with so much going on. We loved that we could walk everywhere from the house but that the house is actually in a nice quiet end of town. There are so many amazing restaurants in the main part of Sayulita but we also absolutely loved the ones right at the bottom of the street and we ate many meals from there. El Jakal has amazing food and amazing prices. We often picked up food from there to bring home for the kids when we were out an about. We loved Pizza Venezia and the fact that you bring your own alcoholic drinks and they supply the glasses. Sitting at the tables in the street was a wonderful way to experience the street performers. Tropical house has the best margaritas in town and we stopped there for a night cap pretty much every night. The ice cream place right there has the best ice cream and popsicles at the best prices. Our favourite restaurant in town was La Rustica. I'm still dreaming of the flan dessert! We loved the quieter Playa los Muertos beach and if you are a mountain biker, the trails are fantastic! Check them out through WildMex! We had a wonderful trip and would definitely stay in this house again if we are ever back in Sayulita. We couldn't settle for anything else! Thanks!!

Beautiful tranquil setting, immaculate home and grounds, nice floorplan for 2 couples with one bedroom/bath on each floor. Super nice house manager Jose. Yoga studio and delicious food at the 'Secret Garden' across the street, and incredible waves on the beach, just 5 minutes away-! my definition of heaven.

We just returned from our fourth trip to Sayulita. This was the first time we rented at Villa Cherimoya and was by far our favorite house. The house itself is located close enough to town for an easy walk but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to give us plenty of night time quiet and privacy. There were four of us (two couples) and the house was the perfect size. There are two master suites, one up and one down. The pool and patio gave us plenty of room to relax and it is positioned just right for afternoon sunshine and tanning. There is no ocean view but we were happy to trade off the view for the privacy and easy access to everything we needed. The house manager (Jose) and housekeeper (iris) were very attentive and keep the house in great condition. They both came by each day to check in and clean but were not intrusive throughout our stay. This was the first time we didn't rent a golf cart and we didn't miss it at all. The walk to town was easy and it was a nice change to not have to jockey for a parking spot with the rest of the visitors. We highly recommend Villa Cherimoya and are already looking forward to our next visit!

We had such a wonderful trip to Sayulita and staying in Villa Cherimoya was just icing on the vacation cake :) To start, Jose, the caretaker, is such a kind person and was so accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed, while also being mindful of our privacy. At one point, we had asked Jose how we find a specific item to buy in town (to bring home). It was a rare request, but he promised he would look around. Sure enough, later that afternoon, he had found what we were looking for. He goes above and beyond to make sure the house guests are happy, and we really enjoyed chatting with him each morning. Iris also was wonderful! She was so nice to be around and chat with, while quickly and efficiently taking care of the house cleaning. We also asked Iris and her Mom to cook a dinner for us and it was DELICIOUS. I would highly recommend asking her for that extra service as it was such a treat! Villa Cherimoya is just as beautiful a house as the pictures show. We really enjoyed the open air concept and never closed the doors (unless we were leaving for awhile) and found ourselves really loving relaxing at the house. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need and we did most of our cooking at home. The house is situated not too far out of town and really is an easy walk to everything. We enjoyed walking all over town and the beach, but it was wonderful to escape to our quiet part of town. We already can't wait to go back!

This is my second stay at Villa Cherimoya - and it certainly won't be my last! And this time I booked it for two weeks - the first week was with my husband and another couple - second week 3 of my friends came down. I love the house - it's beautiful and the grounds are immaculate and the property has the added security of being behind a locked gate. House manager stops by daily to check to see if we need anything and there's also a delightful young woman who comes by for a daily clean. We are well taken care of for sure! No need for a car or golf cart - you can easily walk anywhere you want to go. The house is located close enough to the center of town to be very convenient for all the restaurants, shopping and bars but thankfully is in the quieter part of town. Walk to a great beach is two blocks away. Another important perk...House manager will arrange for pick up from (and to) the airport - with a stop by a wonderful grocery store along the way. They couldn't make it any easier! There is a lot of new construction going on in Sayulita and many choices of places to stay - but I'd be hard pressed to find a place this perfect

We were excited to experience renting a home in Sayulita, and Villa Cherimoyace did not disappoint! This home is as described, clean, well maintained and gorgeous. Jose the property manager, was so friendly and very accommodating! We looked forward to our daily conversations with him. Iris the house maid, was also friendly always smiling. Iris had no problems cooking a few meals for us which were awesome! They were both so kind and generous, so thank you so much. You made our vacation a memorable one! We were in walking distance to town and the beach. Sayulita is a great small but vibrant beach town with friendly people and great places to eat. This house was perfect and will definitely be returning!

Villa Cherimoya was the perfect place for our family trip over the New Year! It was quiet, yet close enough to walk to town and beaches. It was clean & up to date. Cleanliness is very important to me & it was great! The house keeper was super sweet and we can not say enough about our friend Jose! What a good, kind, friendly man! We miss him already :( Thank you for letting us borrow your home, it made our trip to Sayulita one we will never forget & want to visit again very soon! Your home is very special.

There's a reason Villa Cherimoya is so popular. The home is gorgeous and you and yours will want to just relax in the luxury of this impeccable home. Walking distance to town center, beach, restaurants in just a few minutes... You also have Iris to clean and Jose to tend to any property needs. Both are so polite, kind and easy going. We spent 9 days and wished we had at least another week! If this is available... book it now!!!

I have been procrastinating in writing this review, only because I'm not sure what to say that will do Villa Cherimoya justice. It really was perfect. The house is very comfortable and should you decide to stay here, your will be very well cared for. The owners were very helpful and provided thorough information to help us get acquainted with Villa Cherimoya and Sayulita. The location is ideal; a very easy walk to town and/or the beach. We travelled with two teenage girls and aside from a quick review of common sense safety and instituting the buddy system, their boundary's were not all that different than the expectations we have of them at home. We were all very comfortable walking around town, the community is very friendly and obviously quite proud of their town. Sayulita is one of the most beautiful and by far the cleanest Mexican town I have ever visited. Truly perfect in every way.

We stayed for a week in late February. Villa Cherimoya was perfect for us. The casa was very clean and exceeded our expectations. Having the dipping pool in the afternoon when we were exhausted from the beach was amazing. The beds were very comfortable with nice sheets. Jose the caretaker was awesome and very helpful. Any question we had or if we needed advice on what to do, he was there for us. The location is perfect, three blocks from the beach in a nice neighborhood of town and close enough to the plaza but far enough away to be quiet. All in all one of the best vacation we have been on in a long time. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Sayulita.

The house is a perfect set-up for two individuals or two couples. Separate bedrooms on two levels, each with ensuite. So it's private. And the splash pool is great. Decor and cleanliness a cut above. Stay here and you won't be disappointed. Jose was extremely helpful and friendly (although it's helpful if you can speak Spanish...but we managed). As were the 'included housekeeping' which we didn't expect. Excellent. Trying too hard to think of a negative but can't really come up with one so I won't bother.

We spent a great week at Villa Cherimoya over the New Year holiday. Our family of 5 was very comfortable in this lovely home with 2 bedrooms and a den/3rd bedroom. The pool, private grounds and modern water filtration system were all fabulous pluses. There was some uncharacteristically rainy weather that kept us at home for a full day; having the internet available made this bearable for the three teenagers! Some power outages occurred along with this weather, but Jose, Ernst, and Rusty ensured we had clean water and worked diligently to be sure power was available as soon as possible. Even during the power outages the home was kept clean and we were comfortable. With only a couple days of rain we were still able to enjoy the beaches, the hiking, go on a fabulous horseback ride through the jungle and along some quiet beaches, and spend hours in town shopping and eating at the many great restaurants. And, the New Year celebration on the beach was a highlight! Thanks Ernst and Rusty for the use of your beautiful home.

We recently stayed in Villa Cherimoya for a week and it was by far one of the best vacations we have had in a very long time. There were four of us—two couples--and the lay out could not have been more perfect. It has two en suite rooms and a beautiful communal area with kitchen, living room, dining area and balcony—allowing us to get the perfect balance between privacy and time together. Some of the key features of the house that we really loved—the glass doors that completely open up all along the front and side of the communal area, the gorgeous dipping pool that’s literally on the other side of those doors (you can sit in it with a drink and a book and still feel like you’re part of what’s going on in the living room), the air conditioning in the bedrooms (this was amazing after a long, hot day at the beach), the beautiful showers with a clever indoor/outdoor design, the washer/dryer and the convenience to the town and the beach. The furnishings and ambience are beautiful. Jose (the property manager) and the cleaning staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a few days that we really didn’t even want to leave the house because we had absolutely everything we needed and were so comfortable there. That being said, we did manage to venture out into the lovely town of Sayulita a lot. What a gem! It has a huge selection of restaurants, the beaches are amazing, and the people are very warm and friendly. I really can’t recommend this property highly enough—it was incredible. I can’t wait until my next stay!

The house is beautiful, perfect combination of luxury and comfort, and well attended. We stopped in PV on our way and got some supplies for breakfast--so our morning routine consisted of cooking up some bacon with and serving it with some fresh fruit. Then we would head two blocks down to the beach. After a few hours of sun, we would take the short walk into town for dinner at one of the many quaint little restaurants. I stayed with my 11 and 16 year old daughters and they enjoyed the deck and the pool and the privacy of their own room and bathroom.
