Overall this was as a good stay with lots of potential. From what I understand, we were one of her first guests, so with a few tweaks, this could be a really great stay. Pros: - Lovely quiet neighborhood. I actually heard crickets and bullfrogs at night. - Beautifully kept exterior with an owner who has a green thumb for both outdoor and indoor plants. - Responsive owner who was communicative and helpful in finding eateries and grocery stores in the neighborhood. - The accommodations were cozy and like a country/ suburban B&B. Cons: - It felt like we were staying in a home where other people were already living. Some of this was just the decoration setup (quick fix) but some had to do with the level of cleanliness of the space. If I was staying with a family member for free it would be fine, but it lacked the deep clean that one would expect for paying for an accommodation. It's the main reason for giving the 3 star rating. Luckily, this is something that can be easily corrected for future guests. - It's the first time that I've booked a space where the owner is on site. The listing makes this all very clear, and for some people this is preferred. That said we could hear the owner and her family at times in the living room and kitchen. Nothing disruptive to our stay - in fact most of the time it was very quiet- more a reminder that we were not alone on the property. Overall, the owner seems to be a kind and attentive person who has done a good job of maintaining her property. I would definitely recommend for people who prioritize affordability, a quiet neighborhood and a cozy atmosphere.
