The house is beautiful and well-suited for large families. The kids loved the pool table and other games. The air hockey table is a bit wobbly but I notified the property management team and they said they would fix it, so I'm assuming and hopeful that it will be fixed for the next customer. The view is great, though there are a couple of trees that block about half of it. (Honestly, those 2 blasted trees blocking a gorgeous view were probably my biggest complaint, which is to say taht it's not a huge deal). Still it's a nice view. The drive up the mountain to get there is a bit curvy, but it's not much of a drive about 5 minutes of curves at worst. It's a nice secluded location that's still really close to the Lake Lure resort. Keep in mind that you have access to the pool/splash pad, miniature golf course, and beach at Lake Lure along with the other amenities. The house comes with 10 passes for the Lake Lure resort, so you really do have a lot of options when you stay here. There are *plenty* of towels, the grill works, and there is even a little baby chair (not a high chair--it needs to screw into the counter top). So all in all, we had a great time. :)

Great house and great are. We enjoyed all the extra activities the house has to offer, pool, mini golf, ping pong and I shouldn’t leave out all the kids toys that are there. Internet is not the best, but if you have used satellite internet before it is what it is.. thanks for the great time and memories

Right property the game room downstairs is especially great for children

The property was great and a perfect fit for everyone. The board games, pool table as well as the air hockey and ping pong tables kept the teenagers busy all weekend. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need and there was also amply supply of toilet paper (which sometimes can be scarce at VRBO rentals). The owner spent a great deal of thought on the details and it showed. There were only a few down sides and that is I really would've appreciated having a garbage bin of some sort outside instead of 1. having to drive it all the way down to the resort dumpster or 2. storing it in the laundry. There were a lot of us so it collected pretty rapidly and caused some cleaning issues. I understand there are bears and whatnot, but perhaps something with a lid and lock? Another minor issue was the gas grill was completely filthy. It took us a long time to clean it before we could use it. Lastly there were some outside lights that weren't working/flickering and small maintenance things like that. Absolutely nothing deal breaker and I would recommend this house to anyone - especially a multi-generational group.

Great house located within Rumbling Bald resort

A very nice property that was very clean and area is extremely quiet with a great view.

Our group of eight including three generations enjoyed our stay in this house. The view from the back is spectacular, the kitchen was well stocked, and we all enjoyed the air hockey and billiards tables. We appreciated that the owners answered our questions quickly. With just a few repairs/changes, this would be a 5 star rental property. The week we stayed was very hot with high humidity so having the outside fan functioning over the ping pong table would have allowed us more hours to play. Because the house accommodates larger sized groups, a few more towel hooks securely attached to the walls in the bathrooms would have also been helpful. When the smoke detector started chirping and Natalie suggested replacing the dead battery with the newer battery from the CO detector, we subsequently turned off the pilot light in the gas fireplace just to be safe. I would also recommend newer/cleaner mattress pads on the beds in the downstairs bunk bedroom and having the cleaning people put king size pillow cases on the king size pillows, instead of the standard pillow cases which left several inches of the pillow exposed, especially in a pandemic. This was not an inexpensive property, especially with the additional vrbo fees, so a little more attention to detail would have helped us to feel the expense was justified. We met a number of other guests during our stay in this Rumbling Bald community who shared our disappointment with the amenities not being available. With storms moving through in the early afternoons, or to avoid the stifling midday heat on clear weather days, we would have enjoyed renting kayaks, playing putt putt, or using the indoor pool later in the day. We weren’t sure if the resort was short staffed or if the available hours are always restrictive, but we were disappointed to not be able to take advantage of the activities nearly as much as we had hoped. Overall, with a few easy corrections in the house, I would recommend this property to groups with multiple generations, especially if you are fortunate enough to travel when it isn’t quite so hot. One activity we all enjoyed was the guided pontoon boat tour. The captain shared interesting stories and history of the area. Book this and other rentals early however. All pontoon rentals for the entire week of our visit were booked with a 15 person waiting list by the first day of our visit.

Amazing views, beautiful, well stocked home with great lower level bedroom and rec area for our kids (9-11 years old). Fun resort amenities - we enjoyed SUP paddleboarding, pontoon, lake, beach, pool with lazy river and concessions, a hike around the neighborhood, mini-golf and outdoor games. Kitchen was great for preparing family meals and we also made one dinner on the outdoor grill. Awesome family vacation spot!

The house was as described and pictured on the website. There was enough room for 7 adults and 4 children. The property was clean and supplies and linens and towels were provided. We were pleased with the fire pit and barbeque grill on the deck. The grandchildren enjoyed the hockey game, the golf putting and the other games provided. The view from the house was beautiful. The amenities on the resort were great. The owners of the property replied to our questions in timely manner. Overall we have enjoyed our vacation greatly.

Had a great stay with two families. 4 adults and 4 kids ages 6-9 stayed 7 nights and had room to spare. The game room is great along with the ping pong table and putting green in the screened in area. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, crock pot, coffee maker, fridge with ice maker, etc. There is wifi but it's slow and spotty at best. This is just the way it is in the mountains and not a reflection of the property itself, just something we wish we would have known in advance. Great stay overall.

House amazing. Teens never bored as well as toddler and adults. Kitchen has everything you need. House was well represented on site.

Everything you would need to stay for a week was readily available (minus groceries). The house is perfect for young kids who entertained themselves daily in the downstairs basement.

Awesome property. The house had something for everyone. With 4 boys ages 8-13 they had a blast in the gave room with room for all of them to sleep too. Great view from the upstairs deck. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Everyone had an excellent time during our 4 night stay. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and lots to keep children entertained. Would highly recommended for families.

My husband and I met up with family in Asheville and stayed at this property. The house is very nice and had a great selection of cookware/bakeware for every meal. The beds were very comfortable. Be sure to lock your car doors at night as we had bears get into the vehicles and eat food. The grocery store was about 15 to 20 minutes away. Natalie was extremely responsive.

We stayed over spring break with another family. We were.5 adults and 3 children ages 10--12. We had an incredible time. The house is amazing! The pictures are the real thing and then more. The house is fully stocked with everything you might need. We have stayed in several vacation homes and none have provided all the extras we found here. Game room was great and was loved by the kids and adults as well. Beds and pillows were super comfy. Views were beautiful and especially breathtaking during sunset when the sun hid behind the mountains and you got a pink sky! The host was super responsive to all our questions prior to our trip. Wishing we were back already!

What a great experience! A great family get away! Great views from the upper deck ! The house was equipped with everything we could think of needing and there was a little for everyone to enjoy. We had such a great time and felt at home for three days.

The house was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was stocked with all the pans and utensils we needed to cook Christmas dinner and they even put 2 Christmas trees up. We enjoyed the pool table, putting green, ping pong table, outdoor fire pit and amazing views from the deck. Definitely my favorite rental house and location. Hope to return some day!
