The house had everything we needed, the views were spectacular, the location was great, and Jill was incredibly helpful and responsive. The layout of the house was perfect. With two couples, we each had our own bedroom and bathroom on opposite sides of the house. The open kitchen and living room area was perfect while cooking. The deck felt like it went on forever with separate little areas- a couch, high stools, dining table, and lounge chairs by the pool. Chairs to take to the beach and beach towels were provided, which is great so you don’t have to pack or find a place to pay for chairs. Markets and restaurants were fairly close by, but open hours seemed minimal at times, so check before you go. We used Lori from Island Chick Catering one day- the food was fabulous- and Prince’s taxi I would recommend when you don’t feel like driving or if you want to do a tour. The sargassum seaweed was plentiful, unfortunately, Beryl was to the south of us and pushed a ton of it to our shore. This really did not affect our love for the house and hope to return at a different time of year. The beaches on the northern side were a bit better- especially Southgate!- and not too far away. Our trip to St. Croix was amazing in part to this magnificent property. The deck overlooking the water was our favorite part. My kids love the iguanas sunning themselves in the trees. We had one who came to drink water from the pool.
The beds were comfortable and you really didn't need air conditioning with the breeze that came thru the doors. We did use it in the bedrooms at night. The house has everything you need for a great time on the island- beach chairs & towels to borrow, even sunscreen & bug spray were on the counter for us. Jill was very responsive to questions & I never felt like I was bothering her. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great time in St. Croix.

I travelled alone for 4 weeks and had various family members visit me. The house is spacious and perfect for 1-4 guests. The majority of my time was spent on the deck or exploring new beaches. I recommend a Jeep. I was able to get to many secluded beaches around the island.

Pelican Perch is gorgeous and the views are breathtaking. Well stocked with all the essentials you need for a relaxing getaway. The beds are comfortable and bedrooms have air conditioning. We had three adults and felt comfortable during the entire stay. The house is at the east end, almost to Point Udall, so it is quite a trek to Cane Bay and the calmer waters of Fredericksted. No worries though, there are plenty of beaches near the house, but a rental car is a must. Great Stay, highly recommended!

We stayed for 17 days at Pelican Perch with family. The view is incredible, the location was quiet and off the beaten path and the house and pool were perfect for our needs. We will rent again!

Overall this house was a relaxing oasis with amazing views of the ocean. We were looking for quiet family time and we got just that.
Pros- quiet location, pool and deck have amazing views, host answered questions and quickly resolved a small pool issue, house is well equipped with ample space to spread out, wildlife viewing from the deck is a joy!
Cons- ants in a few locations of the house, finding out there was a renter in the additional building the day before arriving when the listing specifically says it will not be rented if you don’t use it (did not see them but windows overlook deck and pool), being asked to allow a for sale showing during our stay (host did make other arrangements when we declined)

Pelican Perch is well situated at the quieter East end of St Croix overlooking a beautiful expanse of ocean to the South. The home is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay, while leaving ample storage space for your stuff. With every room facing the ocean and big sliding doors, you can't help but wake up happy and relaxed to the sounds of the waves lapping the shoreline. At the end of our week at Pelican Perch, no one wanted to leave!

Listening to the ocean waves and viewing the gorgeous waters made a totally relaxing two week vacation. Iguanas, turtles, bananatwits, oyster catchers, and pelicans were such fun to watch. The house was so well equipped for grilling and eating in. We enjoyed our daily rides to various beaches and restaurants during our stay. Pelican Perch was fantastic!

Had a great long weekend in the house. It was bigger than we expected and fit all 11 of us (4 adults, 7 kids) easily. The games were a lot of fun and we enjoyed the wood stove. A short drive to Mount Snow, and to the fun amenities at Chimney Hill (pool, arcade, skating rink). Owner was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Property is more lovely than the photo’s show. The villa was beautiful. More than that, waking up every morning to the sounds of the surf and then drinking your coffee watching the pelicans dive for fish and the turtles (2 we think) surface for air. Pure magic!
Jill was very responsive to our questions and a great host.
The villa is a 20 minute drive from everywhere in the East End of the island. Check out Ziggy’s. Live music on Mondays!
Grapetree beach is 5 minutes away. Definitely worth a look.
In short, could not recommend this place more!

We had a great time at this property. The views are fantastic! The property is clean and well-appointed with every kitchen item you could imagine. It’s close to several restaurants and the casino while being extremely quiet. I hope we can make it back soon!

Our family of five, With our kids ages from 11 to 17, had amazing experience. The home was far superior than advertised. Although the pictures are beautiful they don’t do it justice. Oceanside Island Vibes
This is the perfect home to relax and unwind oceanside while enjoying all the surrounding beauty. We embraced being on island time by starting and ending our days on the patio! Plenty of seating, shade and amenities provided. We enjoyed taking a dip in the pool to cool off and watching the lounging iguanas. The home was well stocked with all the necessities you would need and more. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable is provided with much appreciated extras like insulated cups and beach chairs. We found the area to be quiet and safe during our stay. I’ll forever be dreaming of those views!

Family vacation
Our family of 5 stayed for a week at this amazing house. It was located in a perfect spot on the island, just far enough out of town.
The house was well equipped with everything you will need for your time on the island.
The beds are comfortable, and the living area was perfect for a relaxing evening. We will definitely stay here again when we return.

The Best View
Staying at this house was a highlight of the trip. Know when booking that you will definitely need a car to travel to other sides of the island. The house was set up with the most beautiful view! We spent a significant amount of time on the patio for meals with the iguanas. The water was gorgeous and showed us rays, sharks and sea turtles. We definitely appreciated the kitchen. The only critique of the property was the cold water in one of the showers which was referenced in the binder.

Beautiful St. Croix home
We had a great stay at this beautiful home. It was our first time in St. Croix and we loved it. The house was just as described and had everything that we needed. It is so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the turtles and even saw rays jumping out of the water. Jill was very responsive with just a few questions we had.

Breakfast drinks with a view
We stayed for a week and I don't often want to extend a vacation but I was very tempted here. The sound of the ocean hitting the "cliff" side was so peaceful and there was just enough wind to never make it too hot. I am a cold sleeper and will sleep with blankets on me during the summer but with the ocean breeze and a screen sliding door it kept the bedroom perfect. The kitchen and Patio are the best selling features. Making a breakfast drink or big dinner it was easy to get around because of the layout and then to walkout and just have a stunning patio area with a nice little pool. The constant friendly stairs of the iguanas were great, there were always at least 5 within in 5 feet of the railing at all times. The house is on the east side of the island and there isn't a whole lot to do in the direct surrounding area but its only a short drive to any and all activity. Made it peaceful and convienent.

Fantastic stay at pelican perch
My family had such a lovely time staying at pelican perch! The house could not have been more perfect. It had everything we needed (including a cooler, beach chairs, shampoo, all cooking appliances and silverware). The deck overlooking the ocean is GORGEOUS. We spent our mornings drinking coffee watching the pelicans dive for fish and the evenings counting iguanas in the surrounding cacti. We could not have had a better experience and are so grateful for our stay!

Pelican Perch Rocks!!
From the incredible view to the outstanding cleanliness, well stocked kitchen and lovely decor, Pelican Perch rocked. Jill was an attentive host. We were concerned at first that only the sleeping spaces and baths were airconditioned. However, the multiple fans and screened windows and doors allowed for a very comfortable great room and kitchen. I have never before stayed in a VRBO where everything I needed in the kitchen was present. Even had a convenient hose outside for rinsing our scuba equipment!! Pelican Perch cannot be beat!!! Christmas in St.Croix
My family of 7 had an amazing stay at the property and enjoyed all St.Croix has to offer. We hiked, enjoyed numerous beaches and restaurants everyday! The accommodations were very comfortable and allowed us to take time to relax while taking in the awesome and endless views! I would go back and stay here again for sure!

Land of Turtles
We absolutely loved the quiet side of the island. There was so much wild life, we loved watching the turtles swim around. There is about a ten minute drive to most places, but the casino is open and has a little cafe. Beware of deer on the road. This place is even prettier than pictured and the hosts were lovely. I would love to bring my family and return to Pelican Perch.

This home was a comfortable oasis for relaxing and a great base for exploring St. Croix. We traveled as a family - with two college-aged kids - and enjoyed relaxing in the house, lounging in the pool and watching sea turtles from the deck. The home was a great base for exploring the island from end to end. You should know that it's about 15 minutes from town - part of what makes it special, and also something to know so you can plan for a rental car and some time to get from place to place. Tons to do both near and far. And the process was welcoming and easy. Thank you for sharing your home!

Awesome week at Pelican Perch!
House has a great layout and an amazing perch overlooking the bay south to the Caribbean. It was outfitted beautifully with great kitchen appliances and supplies, a comfortable living room, a wonderful deck for dining and lounging, a clean propane barbecue grill. Air conditioning units in the bedrooms worked well. It was the perfect set up for the four of us. Would absolutely return again. Only suggestion related to description of house - most important is the fact that you can’t drink the tap water, but need to buy gallon jugs of filtered water at markets. This wasn’t described anywhere. It wasn’t a big deal, but we went thru about 1.5 gallons a day - you’ll want to get multiple gallons your first day.
