The casita featured a lovely private outdoor space with grill, chairs and an umbrella table. Inside, we found a modern, well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable, attractive living area. The bedroom and the bathroom also showed that the landlord put time and effort into this rental. There was nothing that we lacked. In the garage were chairs, umbrellas, etc. for the beach. And a laundry for our use! Billy, thank you for providing a delightful spot so well located, near town and beach. We hope to be back again!

We were in town for the Rock and Roll Marathon. This cute casita was perfect for me, my husband and teen daughter. It had everything you needed and was very convenient to Ocean Beach shops and dining. The owner greeted us and let us know he was available for any issues or concerns. We had none. We will definitely be back.

Our visit to Ocean Beach was very relaxing especially when we started each day with coffee in the garden watching and listening to the hummingbirds. The casita was so comfortable, inviting, and conveniently located within walking distance of Ocean Beach and driving distance to many other San Diego landmarks!

We had a great stay at the Surf Casita. We chose the property because it could accommodate our family of 3 as we took our son to the University of San Diego to start his freshman year. We’re from the east coast, so we wanted space for the extra luggage and to be able to do laundry. The casita met our needs, and after dropping him off, we enjoyed the beach with the beach chairs that are available. I only regret that we didn’t have time to sit and relax and enjoy the front garden. Great property- it’s very clean and as described, and a great location for enjoying Ocean Beach.

This was a great property for our needs. My husband and I and our adult daughter and friend stayed here for a long weekend. It was easy access for everywhere we needed to go from La Jolla to Coronado beach. We enjoyed the availability of the bikes and boogie boards and chairs for the beach. (It is a hard bike ride back up the hill to the house ;) …but just the last little bit.) it was beautiful enjoying the morning out in the front yard. Thank you for welcoming us to your lovely casita.

We're a family of four with two teenagers and Billy's place was perfect for us. We were out and about most of the time so really only used the home during the late evenings. It was little tight with four, but we managed fine.
Billy's place is clean, well equipped both inside and out, with ample beach gear that he shares with guests. The home is located in Ocean Beach which is central to everything in San Diego and has a cool vibe.
We would definitely stay again.

Super cute little house in a quiet neighborhood; other than the planes overhead. ;) Very close to the beach, the airport and the zoo! Billy was very responsive and offered everything we needed for a beach trip. We had a great time!

We absolutely loved this rental. So close to the beach and with free off street parking. Most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. Perfect for couples and 1 child (maybe 2). AC was cold and added bonus. Place was clean as well. Billy was a great host!

We drove in from Colorado for my sons 30th birthday. We had friends fly in to meet us. The house was very clean and in a great location to Newport st and the beach! We look forward to coming back!

We loved Billy's casita, yard and the Ocean Beach location. Good food, fun surf watching and a laid back town. We enjoyed coffee in the yard, breakfast and dinner in one of the many local restaurants. Fabulous time.

Loved staying here! It was spacious enough for the two of us and very clean. All the greenery was so beautiful and it was close to restaurants and the beach.

What a spot! 3 blocks from the ocean - 2 blocks from cafes, shops, bars and restaurants. 10 min. Walk to beach or 5 min bike ride. Bill has EVERYTHING you need for the beach! Chairs, surf/boogie boards, towels and more. So accommodating and responds quickly. Will absolutely stay here again!

I loved this property so much. Travelled with my 10 month old and husband. Had great parking, a pack and play, high chair, cute outdoor space! Owner was very responsive. Will definitely come back next time we’re in San Diego.

We loved this place—-so convenient to walk or ride to OB each day. Billy was very responsive when I asked about the bicycles. Great little courtyard to share a meal or just sit quietly. The grounds are beautiful with lots of blooms!

Nicely landscaped patio area. We grilled some steaks from the butcher down the road and they were excellent. Super comfortable living space, the daybeds are awesome after a long day of sightseeing.

Never stayed in Ocean Beach before, but what a wonderful neighborhood. This place is perfectly located in the middle of it all with a short walk to the beach. Really cute casita, though initially we didn't realize there was a shared wall with another guesthouse unit on the same property. There are two units, but each have their own garden access and privacy. Would definitely book again!

This was the perfect location for my family while visiting San Diego. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, and an even closer walk to all the shops and restaurants on Newport. The neighborhood is quiet and feels very safe, with an off-street parking spot that I hear can be hard to come by in San Diego! The casita is cozy and clean, and well-equipped with everything you could need. There is only one bedroom, but my teenagers slept on two couch-beds in the living room which worked just fine. My family enjoyed evenings in the small private backyard, and marveled that we were in the middle of the city.

Billy was great. He was chill, helpful and very accommodating. He helped me in a number of ways. From giving me antibacterial cream to letting me sit on the deck with sunshine ( ours had shade and no one was next door) to offering lemon-limes from his tree to many other things. He has thought of pretty much everything.
I walked to sunset cliffs every day and to rite aid down the street a few times. Many restaurants are within a short walk.

True to the listing and so much more! Having dedicated parking in OB is a must! The private yard is like a tropical paradise. Conveniently located: walk to OB and the pier, short drive or bike ride over the hill to Point Loma, Shelter Island, Liberty Station and downtown San Diego.

I received check in instructions the day before and everything worked out perfectly with check in. I arrived with a toddler and infant aged children and the space was perfect for us. We were able to walk to the store or quickly drive to the ocean which was nice. Billy was also extremely hospitable and really made the place feel like home. He also provided a pack and play and high chair which saved us from bringing it to the trip. We can't wait to come back

This is our very first time on vacation and staying at a property like this. Host was awesome provided information regarding the property. Bunch of coffee was available which was the second best thing. Thank you for this opportunity and we'll definitely be back.

Even better than the listing. Such a cute an clean property! Stocked with food, dishes, some hygiene products, and linens. Beds were comfy! It's a straight shot walking down the alley to the OB pier! Walking distance to several other beaches too, and near lots of good food and shopping. The reserved parking was so nice to have, but we also had no problem finding street parking in the front for visitors. The owner lives in the front house- he was friendly and helpful. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Adorable and Great Location and RESERVED PARKING!!!!
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this well-appointed and well located home. We were within walking distance of several restaurants and the beach. The host was responsive and a spot to park!!!! That is hardly ever the case with California neighborhood rentals! Loved not having to fight for a spot.
