Overall the property was great! It was very clean, easy to find, and well located within town. John was prompt to communicate with, giving us driving tips and directions. The individual cabin was great! It was well decorated, well appointed and had a very “west coast feel” to it! Having the hot tub was a nice touch, especially after hiking and surfing! We never had to wait and it was always available when we wanted to use it. The king bed is as also very comfortable! A few things that could be improved: the door lock code didn’t seem very secure as I could probably guess the codes of the other cabins, based on the code we were given. Also, the cabins are quite close together which isn’t really shown in the listing, that being said we only ran into other guests once during our stay. Lastly, there are cameras all over the hot tub area which is understandable given they want to keep an eye on the hot tub however there is one camera on the maintenance cabin that seems to point directly into the side window of the cabin we stayed in (cabin 2). Whether or not it actually can view the inside of the cabin isn’t clear, however when looking out the window of our cabin it looks as though it’s pointing directly at the window. The owner might want to change the direction it’s facing as it left us feeling a little leery and we felt we always had to keep the blind closed because of the perception that it’s pointed right at the cabin window. Other than that we had a great stay!

The cabin is very cute, well kept and quiet. The only thing missing is a place to put your clothes (shelves, dresser)

This property exceeded our expectations. It's clear that a lot of effort went into the design and construction of the cabin. It's well laid out, beautifully built, and has all the finishing touches - black out blinds, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen. We also enjoyed the hot tub after a day at the beach. Will definitely be back!

Second time staying would stay again

It was an amazing stay, the hot tub is a perfect touch and even thought it’s shared, we never had to wait for it! The cabin was so clean!!

The location and cabin were top notch. The photos of the cabin on listing do not do it justice. It was beautifully designed and executed, every detail was well thought out. The cabin was SPOTLESS when we arrived. Bed was very comfortable and all furnishings in cabin brand new. We would return for sure!

The pictures do not do this cabin justice! This was the first time a rental was nicer in REAL life than in the pics :) We had a lovely time - the shared hot tub was never occupied when we needed it, everything was very clean and new (comfy bed!) and the bathroom and shower were great, with great pressure in the rain-style shower head. We would definitely stay here again!

I absolutely loved this little cabin! It was so comfy and cozy. Perfect location to walk and venture out. Had all the amenities I needed but mostly just sitting in the trees reading was exactly what I needed. Will not hesitate to book this little oasis again.

This lovely cabin is quiet, comfy, cozy, with all amenities. The beach and coastal trails are a 5 minute walk, town is 15 minutes. Hot tub is always available. Very nice.

We arrived after an unprecedented snowfall for the area to find that the community had worked to clear roads well. Our cabin was very cozy and warm, and our host went above and beyond, given the situation of the weather. From the site, almost everything it a walk-able distance in Ucluelet. 10/10 would go again.

This property was fantastic if you were looking to get away for a little piece and quiet. Nestled in the woods, very private even though there were two other cottages in the vicinity we never heard or saw them. The shared hot tub might as well been our own as we didn't see anyone else use it. It too was tucked away in the forest and had ferry lights guiding us to and from our cottage. We had a question upon our arrival and John the owner, answered us immediately. He also came over the next day, introduced himself and told us about things to see and do in Ucluelet. Very professional and courteous. We will definitely tell our friends and family about this place. Thank you for the stay and opening up your property to us.

Travelled in from Kamloops and couldn't have been happier with the accomodation. Cabin was clean and exactly as the pictures showed when booking. Everything is easily within walking distance in Ukee and this cabin, don't even bother driving. Literally the only downside is having to ever leave.... Will definitely consider staying here again and recommend to friends heading this way.

Beautiful, cozy little cabin that feels like your own little corner of the forest. There are other cabins nearby, but things are arranged so that you mostly can't see them from the front door. Easy walking through beautiful nature-filled sidewalks to a dozen or so restaurants in Ucluelet and the grocery store. The place was clean and had everything we needed but didn't think about, including a kettle and a french press for coffee and more. Could not recommend highly enough for a romantic getaway.

Wonderful wish I stayed longer

This place was gorgeous, super quiet and secluded, yet still very close to all the amenities that you need. It’s a true hidden gem!

John has a really great cabin here! It was super cozy, we didn’t have any problems! We only used the BBQ and the fridge, so not sure how the hot plate/stove thing worked, or the toaster oven! This cabin was close to everything in Ukee, and was easy to get too! And the duvet was just so comfortable and light! Loved it!! Loved everything, however, it would be nice to have plastic wrap or tinfoil there to cover up any leftover food! And maybe a pair of scissors (unless there were some, and my husband and I were blind). We are planning to come back next year to relive our honeymoon! :)

Beautiful and cozy cabin. The bed was so comfortable.

The property was better than listed. It was centrally located and easy to walk to anywhere. Although you were so close it really felt like you were in your own little secluded getaway. The cabin was a perfect set up; comfy bed, cozy, good kitchen amenities and loved the hot tub. We loved it and would definitely be back again! We wished we had booked it for longer! Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Conveniently located by Wild Pacific trail. Easy walking to many amenities. Perfect for two people. Had to re-wash most dishes and bottle opener was dull so it didn’t work, some cutlery was missing. Basic cookware provided but bring your own griddle. Very lovely set up in cabin #3 but wasn’t aware how close other rentals were to our cabin. Communal hot tub located across driveway near another cabin so not private (that is clear in listing) Very dark driveway to navigate at night for late check in but well laid out. Would stay again, loved our time there. Would have preferred composting and recyclable options for the shared property.

Beautiful cabin that was very clean.

The place was great, quiet, peaceful. Love the look and feel, check in/ out was super easy. We got take out in town and ate there, the kitchen was really well set up. We wish we could have stayed longer.

John has built a couple of quaint little homes with special craftsman touches amongst his property’s big trees. It’s a great place to just kick back at the rental and also use as a base for taking in all the area has to offer. Two days for us (we were at the end of our stay on the island) was just enough time to convince us that we had to come back to the area for at least a week to really get it all in. The hot tub was just being placed on the property when we left, so looking forward to using it next time we visit. Thanks John.
