Great spot for a big family gathering! Clean- all the amenities, well stocked, beautiful, and fun! Couldn’t ask for a better set up- loved the bedrooms, baths, seating, outdoor spaces, kayaks and paddle boards. Extremely easy entry and checkout process. Thank you!

My family and I loved this house and used it as a central base for exploring the area. Most everything worth seeing is within a 2 hour drive from the house, which made it perfect for us as I had a number of first-time visitors to Washington in our party.
We took advantage of the plethora of oysters and clams embedded right in the cove once low tide hit and really enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards when high tide came back. It's very peaceful at night. We saw a TON of wildlife (seals, river otters, bald eagles to name a few) and experienced spectacular sunsets over the Olympic mountains.
A couple of small things that in no way discouraged our stay, but I wanted to mention here: there is a significantly high drop off (~7-10 feet) from the driveway that I hadn't seen mentioned anywhere. Our dog took a misstep and fell off this ledge, but we didn't even notice it when we were pulling up. Anyone with kids needs to be mindful of that. We were surprised there wasn't a fence there. Could be related to the current construction going on with the adjacent property, but I'm not sure.
The other thing was the septic tanks. When they are getting close to full, the septic alarm will go off - a high pitched ringing that doesn't stop unless you press a red button on the side of the house. For being such a big house expecting 12-14 guests, we were a little surprised by that. No big deal, just had to space our water usage.
Overall it was a wonderful stay and I'd recommend to anyone!

Outstanding! That is the one word that truly describes this property and our experience. The views from the house—Wow! Just breathtaking! The deck has comfortable seating with propane fire place and lighting to enjoy the evenings. On the second deck more seating and a spacious hot tub which leads to the third grassy outdoor space with even more comfortable seating and space to enjoy the expansive views. Oh those views! They are amazing! Beautiful sunsets, mountains reflecting in the water, eagles flying by, we could not ask for more. Then 4th of July occurred. We saw so many firework displays from the comfort and privacy of the home. Just spectacular! My family enjoyed the kayaks and SUP boards too. These memories will last a lifetime! Easy access to the water. There are many activities to do for families outside at this property. The inside is equally as amazing providing lots of space for everyone. Both upstairs and downstairs have comfy beds and luxury bathrooms Plenty of space for your clothes and luggage. The kitchen is also fully stocked with everything! Great location for going to the store, restaurants, and hiking adventures. Perfect place to enjoy the PNW! The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had and provided helpful information for our stay. They have thought of everything to make their guests have a wonderful and relaxing stay. We were also greeted with a beautiful welcome basket! So nice! We would definitely stay here again!

My family loves to take trips to the hood canal during oyster season and have been for the last few years. This was the first time we’ve been to Belfair and found this beautiful house to hold our large group.
I can not say enough great things about this place as it has everything you need! The hospitality was the best I’ve seen! Everything was stocked inside the house as well as so much to do with the kids!
The driveway was a tad tricky however that won’t stop us from coming back! We all had a blast!

The views from this property are amazing! The hosts were extremely communicative and answered all inquiries quickly and completely. The house is beautiful and has everything you need in the kitchen and throughout for your comfort and convenience. We really enjoyed the gift basket as well. Highly recommended!

Just returned from a fantastic weekend away with a group of friends at Homeport on Hood Canal. Matthew and Carrie were gracious hosts - their communication was top notch. We loved their local recommendations! The house itself is gorgeous. It’s exactly as it appears in the listing. I’d venture to say it was the best stocked vacation rental I’ve stayed at. The house was perfect for our group with plenty of space to play card games, watch tv, or hang out. We loved relaxing in the hot tub over looking the canal. The house is situated right on the water and the views are stunning. We hope to gather again at Homeport again!

Spectacular property. Everything about our stay was heavenly. Owners clearly went out of their way to make their guests welcome, from he welcome basket at entry, to little high end features and finishes throughout the home, to beautiful waterfront yard, yard games, patios, and abundant nice water toys (kayaks, paddle boards). The deck with relaxing furniture and fire-it features were perfect for enjoying the inspiring sunsets nightly. This is a beautiful site for a memorable get-away. We never felt like customers, but rather as honored guests of good friends. A wonderful stay.

We booked this house for our mother's birthday. 10 of us made the trip and the house accomodated us perfectly. Additionally, I have never been at a vacation home that was so perfectly stocked! Everything we needed from salt and pepper to kayaks to towels to shampoo and conditioner to welcome snacks when we arrived. The view is exceptional and being so perfectly stocked, outside heaters and blankets kept us perfectly cozy even in the Feb chill. Highly recommend!

The house is beautiful and very well appointed It has everything you will need. Views of sunsets, canal and wildlife are fun and wonderful. Mathew responded quickly when we needed help with the internet & TV connection. The kayaks provided are fun and the best way to enjoy the canal.
Suggest: Mark driveway and address for better recognition from highway. Improve driveway with blacktop at top and filling in large holes. Improve water access from house with safer path to waters edge.
We enjoyed celebrating our anniversaries at your home and appreciated the snack basket upon arrival.

This was the best vacation rental house we have ever stayed at, period.
The house was very clean and if anything the pictures didn't do it justice. Everything was new, beautiful, and clean. The rooms were functional, beautiful and worked well for our extended family. Every room of the house was well thought out and designed around providing a relaxing experience.
The entire home had beautiful views of the Hood Canal and the Olympic mountains. The water front had a grassy area above the high tide mark for relaxing or staging kayaks/paddle boards. They had everything you needed to kayak/paddle board for all age ranges. We saw eagles, seals, otters, herons, and even bioluminescent plankton at night.
The home was extremely well stocked. Everything we needed was there and we really could just arrive and enjoy (even tupperwear, sunscreen, ziplocks, beach towels, etc.)
The owner was very responsive to questions and requests. They replied promptly and thoroughly to every question. They even brought up a crock pot when we asked if there was one in the house, just to make sure we had what we needed.
The only minor feedback I have for the house is that steps between the lower deck and the water access would be helpful. We frequently slipped and sometimes fell on the sloped gravel area. No injuries, but steps would have helped.
We would definitely come back to this beautiful home and area. We stay in VRBOs frequently and this home and vacation experience was exceptional.

Very clean and incredibly well appointed! This is probably the best VRBO home I have stayed in. The house was very clean and represented exactly like the pictures online. Hosts provided everything that you could think of to make our stay an enjoyable one. In addition to the great home, amazing upper and lower decks (fire tables were awesome and they also had two patio space heaters) and Stand Up Paddle-boards and kayaks (life jackets as well) the hosts forgot to mention that there would be constant sightings of bald eagles and even Otters as well.
Relaxing, memorable and even better than we could have dreamed of— next time in Washington state we will stay here again!

Enjoyed water, eagles and mountain views. Hosts were very personable. Entertainment provided on site was great! grandkids loved it & wanted gramma to buy it.
Wish it had better, possibly stairs down to lower lawn & beach. My 43 yo son slipped on the loose gravel took a pretty big fall, scraped up some. It was slippery for me as well, tho I didn't fall.

The good news is this property is amazing! It was gorgeous inside and out, clean and beautifully decorated. It had a great kitchen that fit our big family, plenty of room for the kiddos and adults. The outside decks were full of comfortable furniture and we had gorgeous sunsets each day. Also, the most responsive and communicative owners you could ask for.
The bad news is ... you are not going to want to stay anywhere else! This is our 6th summer trip to Hood Canal and this was by far the best property. We have stayed in places where it looked like someone just ran out the door - not properly cleaned, food still in the fridge, counters covered with stuff. This property is what we always wanted those other places to be. It was worth every penny.

This was a wonderful home for all ages we had such a great time in the house and on the water. We didn’t even have to leave the house. Everything was available Kayaks, paddle boards and watching sunrise and sunsets that we’re gorgeous. A great inside and outside for large families we had such fun catching up with our families especially our grandkids. You couldn’t find any better home on the water as this home.

We absolutely loved this house! The windows made for incredible views. It was bright and open and the sunsets were breathtaking. The home was spotless and very well equipped. Tons of amenities and warm water in the canal. The beds were super comfy and the towels plush. It was the most beautiful house we have stayed in!

Eight of us stayed at the Homeport for four nights and we were very impressed. We really appreciated the spacious floor plan, two living rooms, and the two large decks with lots of comfortable seats. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of counter space. We were there for the first really warm weather of the summer and the AC was excellent. The view of Hood Canal and the Olympics is spectacular. Matthew was great with communication from booking through check-out. Everything about this place is great. We look forward to returning!

Outstanding vacation home!
Our party of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay - wish we could have stayed longer! The home was beautiful - even better than the pics - everything was sparkling clean and nothing was lacking. Inside was very well appointed - it really felt like an interior decorator had helped place each chair and pillow - just the right amount and size of each piece. The kitchen was very well stocked - the best of any VRBO we’ve stayed in. The beds were comfy, too! Outside we had everything we could wish for from kayaks to life jackets. Everything was in great shape and very clean. The location was amazing with hiking near by and great restaurants, too. And the owners were easy to reach and gave lots of great information. Can’t wait to come back!

The perfect home for our extended family gathering
We've rent a vacation home every year, and this was the first time that the house was even better than the pictures posted! The location was excellent with the canal at your back door. The amenities were fantastic - we took advantage of the kayaks, paddle boards, ladderball, Cornhole, and hot tub. We stayed here for 3 nights and never even left the place because there was so much to do. The home was impeccably clean and the bathrooms were lovely. The kitchen was well stocked for our group of 12 and there was plenty of room for us overall.

Amazing house!
We were a group of 4 families on our annual get-together.
Our stay at Homeport was an extremely pleasant experience. The house was new, nice and super fresh. Asides from the tasteful furniture and decors, the owners paid attention to every single detail - from the bath soaps to clean linens, etc. Kitchen was very well stocked. They also delighted us with a gift basket and a hand-written welcome note on our arrival.
There were a lot of things for all of us to do, from clamming to paddle-boarding, to reading, to gaming. We enjoyed outdoors dining and s'mores, and the hot tub also gave us some privacy and relaxation at the end of our days.
Matthew was extremely helpful and responsive to all of the questions I've asked.

We celebrated a big birthday for me at Homeport and I couldn’t have been happier! Matt and Carrie clearly have a passion for their guests and making it the best possible experience. The house is divine with lots of thoughtful touches and it’s just a really cool place to have a lounge-y weekend! Hoping we’ll make it back to Homeport again!

Relaxing weekend getaway - 10/10 we’d rent it again
Spent a long weekend at Homeport @ Hood Canal with our family of five and our dog. Mathew and Carrie are excellent hosts! They provided clear instructions, so our arrival and check in was effortless and made us feel so welcome—they even left a hand written note and welcome basket, because they knew I was celebrating a big birthday.
The house was immaculate and had many thoughtful touches that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The house has great beds and bedding, comfortable furniture, it’s decorated super cute, has fluffy white towels and an abundance of extra blankets. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and was well stocked with everything we needed. The bathrooms are a spa-like experience and the kids loved watching YouTube on the google home screens and movies on the big screen TVs. They seriously thought of everything!
The views from every room are to die for! We had 1 sunny day so the kids took advantage of the kayaks and had a ball! We took a short drive and went to the state park and then spent the evening watching the gorgeous sunset on the deck with the gas fire table and outdoor heater.
We didn’t want to leave and would absolutely stay here again!
