Neat and clean room.

The amount of stairs. Everything else was great

The room is fine from what we could see, but when we arrived we were informed there was no power (therefore no air conditioning) or running water and it was 44 degrees celcius in Catania. The owner knew of the situation and it would have been helpful to contact us during the day so we could have made other arrangements. Staying was not an option, the conditions were terrible. We spoke to the owner and they said we could cancel, but we were stuck near Catania Airport with no other options at that time. We went to a local bar and started searching for another room. After spending some time looking for another hotel room, we let the owner know we would not be staying in their room and fully expected a refund, but the owner confirmed they would not be refunding.

Not the greatest of welcomes in Catania. As I said, the room looks ok from what we saw from our brief stay in a dark swetlering room (it doesn't have a fridge, which is really required in Sicily in the summer).

The property is very clean and exactly as advertised. The bed was comfortable and bathroom convenient. There is a shared lounge with kettle, water, and packaged croissants. The host is very nice and helpful. Across the road is a bakery which opens early and has lots of fresh pastries and coffees. 150m down the road is a good deli also.

As many previous reviews have stated, whilst close to the airport, it is very difficult to reach Casa Giulia safely without a car. Taxis won’t take you this very short distance and there is no safe path to walk there either. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room, it would have been good for it to have been turned on prior to our arrival.

The property is clean and close to the airport. It’s perfect for when you arrive late or have to catch an early flight at the Catania airport.

The stairs were just difficult when you have luggages to carry.

- the air-conditioning did not work properly; even if it was set on a low temperature, it wouldn't cool the air that much - it did not have a mini-fridge (we traveled in July and a mini fridge would have been very handy) - but all things considered it was a good place

The location was within walking distance of the airport, which was very convenient. There were restaurants around the area as well.

Clean room, with lits of space

The room is on the third floor. There is no mentioning that there is no elevator. We had to climb with 4 large suitcases up and down at 4 am. There is no outside sign to inform us where the toom is, which is above a garage. There is no parking space. It is not mentioned in the description. The shower does not close to the end. Hence, water can run out. The window is single glass - for an airport hotel, it means you hear all airplanes as they take off.

Very nice place, comfortable bed and nice owner. Yes,u hear planes time to time but nothing terrible,we were able to sleep well.

Very easy access to the airport - the walk I thought might be a bit crazy without the footpath. In fact it was perfectly fine (as long as you know which road you take into airport) would be great to have a simple map to show guests. Google Maps made it seem complicated as there are multiple routes into the airport.

Communication about checking in, you have to provide set time (i did) and this can be hard when you are travelling and unpredictable stuff happens. I felt pressure to give a time, which was hard as my wi-fi and data were intermittent during the day. Luckily the guy at cafe across road knew owner and kindly called for me. I was travelling alone and could frustrating and maybe a bit scary if you alone and phone not connecting.

Excellent stay

Convenience. It is a 5 min walk to the airport. Although you have to walk literally on the road against the traffic, because there's no pavement for pedestrians. Nothing to do with the apartment.

Cigarette smoke smell through the air-conditioning. Clogged shower drain.

The proximity with the airport is amazing, it is perfect when you have an early flight.

Perfect location so we could walk to the airport for an early morning flight. Very clean apartment. Large ‘locals’ cafe directly across the road was open at all hours so good for anything you need.

Walk from airport was about 15 minutes down a busy road. Clean and reasonably priced room for our early flight, although no breakfast included. Secure key arrangement as no owner on site. Lucky residents in other 3 rooms located off central communal area didn’t wake us up arriving and going. Free water bottle each.

The room was clean except for the floor, which turned our feet black immediately, Tried to use communal area kettle with our own tea bags, but no cups or much else, no fridge. Second floor with 45 steps could be difficult with heavy bags.

Hotel within walking distance of the airport. Everything modern new and clean. Staff professional, no reason to get complain about anything.

City tax has to be paid in cash, so this is a good to know information, otherwise it can be unpleasant. But there is an ATM at the airport (terminal A - almost at the end).

It was a great room. Large and clean with a small terrace off the bathroom. It was close to the airport.

The details stated there was a kettle provided. It wasn't. The owner eventually provided one which we had to return. No breakfast (but it was never stated it was in the price). It was difficult to find a convenient place for breakfast. There was a cafe across the road but it did not provide breakfasts. The b&b is close to the airport but walking from the airport was difficult because there is no proper pavement. When it was pouring with rain we hired a taxi to take us to the b&b but he refused to take us because it was not far enough!! We walked (got soaked) and the road ruined our case wheels. Also we were on the 2nd floor of the property and there was no lift.
