The location was absolutely beautiful…. The home and management(Josh) was a nightmare.

Well where to start with Kachina Ridge Nightmares(Double wide on stilts) We arrived and there was maintenance people working on a leak. The very nice man told us that it was very cold inside. As we walked in he was correct. We then realized that there was no hot water. So we went to have a drink and some lunch. We contacted Vacasa and never heard back. We reached out every few hours and there would be no update and the manager was notified. We observed that the property was dirty. There were dead bugs throughout the home. There was hair on the floors of the bathrooms. Urine stains by the toilet bowl cleaner. Floor looked like it hadn’t been swept with dust and spider webs on most corners of the property. The night rolled around and the only heat was two small space heaters and a fire place. We used the little wood there was in the home to make a fire and it proceeded to fill the home with smoke. Flute was open and fire was small. Smoke alarms kept going off so we would open the windows until it got too cold once again. My girlfriend has asthma and this caused breathing problems. Additionally there was no wifi so I couldn’t do some of the work I needed to do. Wifi, hot water, heat are all advertised and none of it worked. Despite repeatedly reaching out to the management company we were never contacted to resolve these issues. The next morning we reached out again to see if there was another property they could place us in. They never responded. Then finally we reached out and told them we had checked out. About an hour later Josh called and apologized profusely. Josh promised that he would give us a refund immediately. (sep 20 2024) On Sep 24 reached out to Josh again and he said the refund has been processed and could take a week or two. Josh said he would inquire and give us an update. On Oct 18 we reached out once again as we still had not received a refund. On Oct 28 we reached out again and no response. Vacasa is the slumlords of short rentals.

The property was clean, serene and equipped for comfort.
