We loved our stay here! The location was walking distance to Poipu Beach, which made traveling with an infant much easier when we needed to go back to the place for nap time. It’s really spacious and we loved sitting out on the lanai every morning and evening to enjoy the ocean views. Would definitely stay here again!

First this property is in a great location. However, this property doesn’t show as well as the advertising pictures. The inside has been used over the years and needs a deeper cleaning for the grim and dirty floors and sticky dinning room table. The sliding deck doors are hard to slide because they were broken and pieced together with straps. All the glass windows were covered with a peel and stick dark sun protection film that had bubbled and looks like broken glass in some places. This totally obscured the views which would have revealed beautiful views of the water. This place needs some work.

This is a wonderful property. We needed three bedrooms and this fit our purpose. Walking distance to beaches, parks, restaurants. Great views also… we walked to the end of the street for sunset pictures and then realized the most dramatic was from the deck. The unit is tastefully decorated, has all you need kitchenware etc. as well as beach chairs, sand toys for the kids and a large cooler. Highly recommended.

Wonderful property close to the beach. A clean and quiet place to relax in paradise. Had some welcome treats upon arrival which was much appreciated! Very quick to respond to inquiries and received check in info well before arrival.

We stayed 3 nights in property. We enjoyed the large open ceiling kitchen/family room space that opened on to a covered deck that had a table with 8 chairs and a BBQ. There are beautiful views of the the ocean (about 1/4 mile away) through a line of palm trees. The sunsets from the deck were spectacular. The villa is a walkable distance (about 1/2 mile, we drove since we had young kids) from Poipu Beach park that has a protected snorkeling area that is ideal for kids and adults. The villa has boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas that you can use. We also purchased the owners access pass to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club that is located about 1 mile from the property. The kids loved the water slide in the pool and there are many other activities at the club that we would have used if we were here for a longer stay. We had 6 people in our family (4 adults 2-kids) staying in the 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins). There is a circular indoor stair case that connects to the lower unit that would allow both the upstairs and downstairs to be used by a single larger family/group. We highly recommend this property.

We had a great experience! You have ocean views from the balcony and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Make sure to get early to see the sea turtles that nest a short walk away. Or go to Brennekes beach to the sunset and more turtles and seals. The owner was communicative and easy to work with. An ideal spot if you have small children

This property is conveniently located. We were on the top unit of the property so we had a great view of the ocean. The area (property) was clean and beautifully landscaped. The unit was very spacious & nice with a lot of amenities supplied.

nice location just few min walk to the beach. property manager responded quickly and helped with a late check out. overall we enjoyed our stay. we had 7 adults and we fit comfortably. my only "complaint" is the bathrooms were not in great condition. i left a note for the owner they can hopefully improve on that for the next visitor. they have umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, and a cooler to use which is nice. would stay again

This was a great home in a beautiful and convenient location. This was a great home in a beautiful and convenient location. Good place to stay in Poipu Beach
We enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The rental is an upstairs unit with plenty of space for our group of five.It was clean and well furnished. There was a short walk to poipu beach and local restaurants. Management was helpful. We recommend staying here.

Our group of 6 had a great time here. It is as described -- comfortable and spacious with everything you'll need. Nice set up for groups with a big porch, dining area, and kitchen. Quick walk to the beach. Air conditioning was appreciated. No complaints

Beautiful, clean, just as described!
Our group of 5 adults were very comfortable staying in this beautifully kept home. After our activity filled days we enjoyed each night on the spacious Lanai. We enjoyed all of the amenities including the fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. It was a very short walk to sunny Poipu Beach and the beach chairs and supplies were an added bonus. We created many great memories and had lots of laughs here which made us sad to leave! Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful location, spacious accommodation, great view!
Our family of 8 had a wonderful comfortable time. The porch area for eating with a view of the surf was beautiful and so restful! Easy walk to Brennecke and Poipu Beach. Lisa, caretaker and Dale the handy man were very attentive to our needs. Some up dating would help the already lovely environment. Not all shades, fans/lights were working properly, but Dale fixed that. Coasters were broken, and wine openers didn't work. One blow up was leakey, but Lisa replaced it. Air conditioning was only in the bedrooms, it would have been nice to have center area air conditioned as well. One of the dryers died when we were there, if new washer/ dryer unit replaces it, the would be a great improvement. But overall, lovely accommodations and great staff. Welcome gift of sample Hawaian sodas and chocolates was a lovely touch.

Great Place!
My family of 5 adults stayed here for a week May 2018 and loved it! It looks exactly as it does in the photos and the hosts had left a few welcome treats for us in the fridge upon our arrival. This condo is a 5 minute walk to several beaches, and the provided beach chairs and beach towels were much appreciated. There are individual A/C units in each bedroom and they kept the rooms nice and cool each evening. The space was laid out nicely, and provided space to enjoy each others' company while also providing ample privacy. The washer and dryers were easy to access and we didn't have any problems finding an open time to use them. We used the grill several nights, and enjoyed eating our meals on the deck each morning and evening. The deck and front windows provide a great view of the ocean, and beautiful sunsets each evening. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!

Loved it!
The unit was absolutely gorgeous. The high ceiling with oak hardwood flooring was SO incredibly beautiful, it made coming back at night from exploring during the day that much better. The property was well maintained with beautiful gardens. The AC was wonderful when needed, and there were plenty of fans throughout the unit (kitchen/living room, and all bedrooms) to keep it consistently cool when we were indoors. We had seven people in our unit, and it was definitely spacious. We enjoyed our nightly BBQ dinners out on the lanai. And the unit came with the beach necessities such as beach chairs, beach towels, coolers.
It's also a quick walk to the beach! Literally 5 minutes to the Brennecke Beach, and then maybe a 7 minute walk to the larger Poipu beach. We saw turtles and monk seals at these beaches in the morning. The turtles greeted us pretty much every morning during our walks. It was an amazing experience, highly recommend staying here. Thank you Herb and Gale for being so accommodating.
Although the laundry was not in our unit, it was a quick, less than 1 minute walk, and located in the same building. We never had issues waiting for an open washer/dryer. I think there were three/four of each.
Parking was never an issue. We had two cars between 7 people, and it was never a problem. Conveniently located right out front of the building.
Herb was really responsive as well. We asked for extra paper towels and a rice cooker, and he brought it over the next day. Herb and Gale even sent us an email a day or two after arriving to check in on us and see if there is anything we needed. They were so welcoming.
I had originally booked a two bedroom with Herb and Gale, but then we had two more people in our party join in last minute. So we upgraded to the three bedroom unit. Gale and Herb were so responsive and easy to work with. I was worried that it would get a little complicated, but Herb and Gale made it so quick and easy. There are reliable and made things so convenient. Thank you Herb and Gale, can't wait for the next time!

Fun in the sun!
Our multi-generational family of 7 truly enjoyed the spaciousness of this home. We did not get in each other's way at all. We also loved the fact that we could walk a few steps and be at the beach. Dining on the lanai and watching the sunset was a treat. The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and complete. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of Herb and Gale's great hospitality.

Great condo for a family
We loved staying at Hideaway Cove. It was open and spacious and had everything we needed for a family. It is very convenient to the beach and we had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay here again.

Home away from home
Our family of 8 (6 adults and 2 children) had a great stay at Hide-away Cove. The unit, with three bedrooms, open concept living room, dining room (with seating for all of us) and a large kitchen. We also spent time on the lanai (the deck), which has also a table with seating for all of us. The view from here was fabulous, saw many of the well-known Kauai sunsets. The Poipu beach is within walking distance, we all walked down to the beach, with chairs, towels, swimming gears. We saw Turtles, Sea Lion, Seals at the beach. The unit's location was good for us, we were able to drive up to Princeville, visiting other beaches, we also drove west to Waimea Canyon. The kids also enjoyed swimming, and riding the water slide at the Poipu Country Club. We recommend this place, Gale was very helpful, a wonderful family vacation.

Excellent location. 3-4 minute walk to Brenneckes Beach where our kids loved to swim and boogie board. Quiet neighborhood and immaculately clean large apartment. Would definitely book again
