The house was smaller than expected. There is a board nailed down to the floor by the bar as if it's covering a hole which I think it is because when you step on it, it's softer in the middle . The furniture was not comfortable. The carpet in the sunroom is torn up and stained. It was listed that there would be shampoo and things like that there was no shampoo and one bathroom was a very very small bar of hand soap smaller than what you get in a hotel there were two rolls of toilet paper and

Our "girls" (all over 50) get away was amazing! House was perfect, clean, had everything we needed, and conveniently located to all the things we wanted to see. Reservation, check in process and communication with owner were great. We had a great time and will be back! Thank you

It is very quiet and overall clean.

We stayed six weeks from late February to early April and enjoyed watching spring unfold. This was our 2nd stay at this property. It's perfect for us and our dog (who loves the fenced back yard), and comfortably accommodated friends who visited for brief periods. We shall be back! Only fly in the ointment was check-in. The property manager really needs to get his act together here. The house had basically been trashed by the previous tenant and was not ready for occupancy until well into the evening (after we'd been traveling). With that said, he is easy to communicate with and issues were promptly resolved once brought to his attention. We quite enjoyed the rest of our stay, but it started on a sour note, unfortunately.

Had a great time here. Vacation with friends to go shrimping. Plenty of parking for 2 boats and trucks. Nice house in a quite neighborhood. Location was perfect. Owner was very quick to get back to me with questions. Will be back!

When we arrived at the house. The door code wouldn't work. Had to call owner get another one. When we got in the house had not been cleaned. Called owner again. He said he would get a cleaning crew out. They showed up around 830. Left 1045 pm. He offered for a couple more days of stay. We had to go to work the next day. So that didn't help.

We enjoyed the area because it was not developed and commercialized but rather quiet and quaint. The Hunting Island State Park beach was easy to get to, not crowded, clean and people were all friendly. We enjoyed this rental very much because it had everything we needed and our large-breed dog was welcome. The owner was very responsive to our questions--the door code we got originally was not correct but he gave us the other one right away. Despite there not being many rentals in the area, the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming.

Enjoyed our stay. Nice little home with updated amenities.. Great fenced in back yard, our kids loved the hammock.. off the beaten path but not far at all from beaches and stores.

This was a wonderful house with nice amenities. Our dogs loved the big back yard and all the beach adventures. The owner was great. We would definitely rent this again.

Awesome house! Owner was very easy to get a hold of. Had three dogs and four adults and had all accomodations needed.

House was immaculately clean and everything was as portrayed in the listing, or even better. We stayed for six weeks, so we did buy a few things for the kitchen to suit our own preference, but the kitchen was already well equipped. Quiet neighborhood of similar homes near the marsh, some with tidal waterfront. Delightful for bird watching and walking our dog, who also enjoyed the fenced-in back yard. Easy drive to local attractions including historic Beaufort and Hunting Island State Park's beaches and walking trails. Several excellent restaurants within a few minutes' drive. The host was responsive and pleasant, the only glitch was being asked to delay our arrival beyond the already late 4:00 check in time, due to unfinished cleaning. We will definitely rent again, in fact have already made plans to do so!

My family enjoyed our stay, the house was very clean ! It had A great back yard for kids and dogs . The neighborhood was very quiet and great for afternoon walks!

This property is great, especially if you have pets. The house is spotless and has all the amenities to cook your own meals and also have extras. I will definitely be renting this place in the future.

This was a rather large place given the price and was located very close to Hunting Island State Park, Beaufort, and Port Royal. There is so much to do within a 15 mile radius and the drive times are fairly short. The house was in great condition. There was one issue with floor boards in a small area of the house, but the owners had it fixed to safety standards prior to our stay. The location to attractions was great and the neighborhood was quiet. However, there is not much to do in the neighborhood. Other than going for a walk in the neighborhood and sitting outside, there is not much in the immediate vicinity to do. Granted, we were out doing other stuff most of the time, so that did not really affect us much. We did get a very heavy downpour one night and the backyard and part of the front turned into a mud pit. Again, we only stayed for 2 nights, so that didn't matter much for us. However, if staying longer and planning to enjoy the outside at the property, a heavy rain may prevent you from using the outside part of the property for a few days. Regardless, if we plan to stay in that part of South Carolina again, this house would be at the top of the list to check for availability.

Nice location, however the floor leading to one of the bedroom had rotten flooring to the point I almost fell through it. My elder mother and aunt couldnt stay at the property with me because of this safety hazard. Guest couldnt use the bathroom on that side of the house. They had to go in my bedroom to use the bathroom. Informed property manager he stated someone would come out on Saturday, however no one showed up. Lastly, there were roaches in the house.

Extremely relaxing. After stepping through the front door, we were completely relaxed, very quiet location. Thoroughly enjoyed the hammock and swing. Screened porch was great at night

Good property, host was easy to get in touch with and answer questions we had. Perfect for our family to have space for everyone after exploring the islands each day.

The location of this property is an appx 25 minute drive to the city of Beaufort. The distance is not bad if you can go out once in the morning, stay out all day enjoying the local attractions, and drive back once in the evening. Unfortunately, the property is a bit misrepresented - we rented based on it being pet friendly and having a fenced backyard. The back yard is mostly bare dirt and the fence is not secure - the wire has pulled loose from the fence posts in a couple places, easy for a dog to push under it and make its way to freedom (without even digging its way out). A couple other fence posts are so loose, a strong wind sets them wavering; lean against them and they'll fall over. We could not leave our dog there without supervision and had to take her with us and do only the local things that allowed dogs, or leave her in the house and come back several times during the day to let her out. The neighborhood is a bit spotty - some nice houses along the street, but the place right next door is a junkyard; a cobbled together shack-like structure with junk strewn around the yard. Unsightly, unpleasant. We rented the house for 3 nights @$152 per night. With pet fee, cleaning fee and tax, we expected to pay around $675-$700 for our stay. We also got hit with a Host Fee and a Service Fee so our total for 3 nights was $838 - definitely not worth it. The INTERIOR of the house looks nice, with one really comfortable rocker recliner and two semi-comfortable sofas, a small kitchen table and a bar-type counter, cute decor. There are 3 bedrooms, two of them have comfortable beds, one of them has a bed hard as rock (I tried them all, like Goldilocks). The supply of toilet paper and paper towels was insufficient for 2 people over 3 days - we went to Walmart and bought our own. I think someone might rent this VRBO once but I'm betting they don't get repeat guests. We left a day early.

This property was perfect for my family! Super clean, had everything that we needed and was close to everywhere we wanted to go. It is really nice with kids having a fenced in backyard and we enjoyed hanging out on the front porch. The owner's communication was great! We will definitely stay again!
