Very quiet, relaxing and comfortable cabin. We were there for 10 days and enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon wind sitting by the river. Plenty of hiking around Mt. Hood and fairly short drive to Hood River and Columbia Gorge.

Property is charming and watching and listening to the river from the hot tub; deck or fire pit is super nice and really the best part and why we choose to stay here. The overall setup is ideal for two adults and maybe two smaller kids for a bunk bed situation right off the main bedroom. The bunk beds are pretty small and this tiny room is your only access point to the bathroom- so if you put the kids to bed early; be prepared to go through their bedroom to get to the bathroom. For us this wasn’t a real issue as our son only spent one night with us- but being older and 5’9” he barely fit on the bed-kids can adjust; but I’m glad he didn’t have to stay with us more nights. The bathroom is nicely updated and the shower a pleasant surprise with good pressure and hot water. The downside was the spell from the toilet itself and not being used to a septic system/this was not great/and I dreaded having to go in the bathroom at all. Kitchen was nicely stocked, although we didn’t cook any meals during our stay. Overall: Pros: nice, rustic stay- it is a cabin and the views are super. Cons: Smelly (fixable?) toilet; noisy critters under the house 2:30am-4am every morning and lots of cobwebs in the skylights. Would I stay here again; maybe?

I booked a stay for two nights for a semi-romantic get away in the woods. I was definitely looking for a place that was remote with not too many people around. I would say literally the only downside of the location is yes neighbors are close, and the next door neighbor had a kid that was outside being loud the 1st day we were there. But!!! That was the only drawback, and not the fault of the owners of this place. Everything else was perfect. The pictures in the listing don't do the Salmon River justice. It was wonderful being that close to the river. The hot tub was amazing and easy to figure out. Bed was very comfy! I would 100% stay here again. I'm sure it'd be awesome in the winter.

Nice little cabin right on the Salmon River. All the amenities for a great stay! Many birds and even watched a deer cross the river right in front of the cabin!

Everything you could possibly need in a charming, well equipped home. We felt at home the moment we arrived. So VERY well equipped, clean, and the fire pit by the river was perfect! The cabin is secluded and right on the river but yet close enough to town for essentials and a good meal out.

Very pretty property! Quiet and peaceful weekend get away. A few of the dishes and utensils had food left on them but otherwise we would have never known someone had checked out the day before!

Thistle Dew was absolutely perfect! Everything was very clean and organized and the cabin had everything I needed. The backyard was absolutely gorgeous and the hot tub was a huge bonus! It was close to a grocery store which was a huge help. I would absolutely stay here again.
