Nothing really. If anything, a freezer would come in handy, but that's a detail, a fridge is available and that's the moat important.

Ruhige Lage, dennoch schnell in der City zu Fuß. Wohnung hat alles, was man braucht. Schöne Dusche. Rolläden an den Fenstern - top. Eigener kostenloser Parkplatz.

Küchenausstattung und Raumaufteilung waren Top. Kaffeemaschine mit vorhandenen Kaffee-Kapseln war ein toller Extraservice. Kurze Wege zur Innenstadt, Rosengarten mit Palmenhaus und zu Supermärkten.

WLAN und Netflix funktionierten Abends leider sehr schlecht bis überhaupt nicht. Es fehlte ein Schneebesen in der Küche.

This apartment offered far more than I expected. All I was looking for was a place to sleep not too far away from the home of the family member I was visiting, with air conditioning. The unit is well-located (short walk to grocery and drug stores, liquor store, slightly longer walk to downtown Coburg) and has its own parking place. The parking spot (right off the street, well-described in the information provided to guests) is not easy to drive out of in reverse and is on a somewhat busy street, so on my first evening in town I waited until the traffic became light before leaving my relative's house and was then able to safely back into the space, which made getting out much less difficult. The clean, well-lit apartment offers a full kitchen with a range, a small fridge and basic supplies (spices, oil, vinegar, coffee creamer), a toaster and a Keurig-type coffee machine (some coffee capsules provided). It also has a full bath (shower, no tub), an air-conditioned bedroom (air conditioning works very well), and a large living-dining room. The bed in the master bedroom could easily sleep two and the sofa in the living room would make a good bed for 2 young people or kids. The wireless router provides excellent access to the Internet (the code used for logging in is on the bottom of the router). The key box instructions were self-evident and I had no trouble either getting the key or leaving it upon departure.

There are only three things not to like about this apartment. One: lots of stairs. A long-drawn-out, easy to manage staircase from the street to the front door of the house and the keybox (on the back side of the building), then two more steep, old staircases to the front door of the apartment. Two: it's the attic floor, and there are a lot of low, slanted walls. I'm 5' 10" and I had to watch my head on the last flight of stairs and when opening and closing the windows in the living/dining area. Three: there are two cute turn-of-the-century "naughty" postcards in the bathroom, which bothered me not at all, but there is also a large painting of a female nude over the living room sofa (which is very deep and to me, not comfortable for sitting, though fine for sleeping). The nude is just not good art and so sexually suggestive that some (especially those traveling with children) might object. I dubbed her "Barbie on Valium," and if I were renting out the place, I'd replace her with something less jarring.
