The location and the building itself.

On the whole the chapel was grotty. The main areas were clean but the overall cleanliness was a let down.

Location excellent, it's an open/social house

It's a bit tired, needs a lick of paint, new towels etc

The accommodation was good, well equipped and with very good facilities. Comfortable and cosy.

Parking (even with a relatively small car) was particularly tight and use of the public car park was a little inconvenient (and expensive). Wednesday was bin emptying day and this was accompanied by lots of noise and early morning shouting from the street - unavoidable early morning calls for everyone.

Staithes is a wonderful village.

Was very peeved that owner would not consider refund. For work reasons I needed to cancel. Called well in advance to ask for cancellation, also reminded them that, due to it being coronation weekend, the property would not be left empty, there were people waiting for availability in the village. Owner would not budge. Tight!

Bethel Chapel is simply the most beautiful and remarkable place I have ever stayed. It is spacious, traditional and yet modern, it is characterful and quirky. It could not be in a better location. I have booked us a week next year and if I somehow win the lottery I will book it for the rest of my days !!!

Leaving to come home, even though home is lovely too and I missed our cat.
