Breakfast was good and service friendly.

There was continuous confusion about our booking. We booked our room for 4 days in 2 seperate bookings of each 2 days with the result that booking.com considers both bookings as no shows somehow.

Basic but comfortable and clean room. Great breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Be aware that the location is not in the centre, and to get back to bell bird it's a walk upwards. In the area of the location there are several places to eat and some shops aswell.

Alexis was an amazing owner. He was willing to help out with everything that I needed and went way above and beyond the price I payed for the hotel. The location was also within a 15 minute walk of the downtown area and had a perfect place to watch the sunset outside. If you need an economical place to stay in Monteverde, I recommend Bell Bird 100 percent. 👍

It was right next door to CPI Spanish School where I studied for a week, and it was also practically across the street from a spectacular mountain view of the valley below Monteverde. My room was small but comfortable, and near the shared bathroom. Dawell, their main front desk person, was so kind, professional, and knowledgeable about Monteverde. He even helped me improve my Spanish skills by speaking slowly and clearly. He is a true gentleman!

My room was next to the comfy front lounge, which was nice, but it was sometimes noisy for me in my room.

Alexis is a wonderful host. He is quick to respond, helping with all my questions, recommending good places, and very personable. The hotel is on the quieter side of town which is what I need. The location is good and has a nice view of the gulf, and even a glimpse into Monteverde forest on the other side. My room and the shared bathroom are very clean. By the way, the daily included breakfast puts this hotel over the top, especially for its price value. I highly recommend the hotel, and hope there will be available room for me the next time I visit Monteverde.

Both the owner and his daughter were extremely kind. I rocked up after 3 days of no sleep and freshly in Costa Rica so I was a bit emotional. They made me feel super welcome and comfortable. I ended up spending 3 nights here simply because of their vibes.

We had an early start for an activity however a breakfast to go was offered for us which was much appreciated. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Pillows were very hard but the bed was fine.

Hotel Bellbird is a very comfortable, cosy and clean place. The owner Alexis is very friendly and obliging. He helped out with everything I asked for. The breakfast, especially the coffee was delicious. Thank you very much Alexis :)

Hotel Bell Bird is a very nice place with pretty rooms. The breakfast is also amazing but the best is the host Alexis. He is super welcoming and helped me out with everything I needed. I will never forget my stay at this beautiful place and Alexis saying: "I love Costa Rica... Always!" Thank you!
