The moment we checked into the room, we realized it was completely INFESTED WITH FLEAS!!!! We immediately grabbed our stuff and ran out of the room. Unfortunately, our dog had already been covered in fleas so we spent the next several days cleaning and bathing both our dog and all our belongings to avoid bringing them to our home. The only silver lining was that hotels.com refunded our money back to us.

Clean and convenient. We traveled with our dog and were charged $25 a night extra. Complimentary breakfast was good. Friendly staff

The hotel was clean plenty of parking for our trailer (moved child into apartment) breakfast was fantastic and our dog was able to stay. Would go back and highly recommend

Room was clean. Window shade didn't work, Staff did not care, said there was no repairman. 24 Hr coffee bar was a plus, but there was no creamer after the first day. Staff reply, "We out." Breakfast was good. When I asked for a receipt at checkout, the mgr said "We cant do that". WHAT? Parking lot was a mass of potholes. I will never stay at another IHG hotel

parking lot had lots of potholes and the bathroom still seemed dirty upon arrival (floors). our room was not ready upon arrival despite showing up at 3pm. bedroom had good lighting and everything worked fine.

We enjoyed the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas and friendliness of the staff.

Super experience, stayed four nights. Clean, comfortable, quiet because it is insulated from road noise, extensive breakfast bar, and very friendly staff. Definitely recommend this hotel!!!

We stayed one night it was convenient, quiet and breakfast was great. It was raining or we would have used the pool.

Love the price point, location, and pet friendliness. The room’s ac wasn’t working properly and the room was wet like so wet the carpet was. Rooms need some upgrades as well things were a little worn out.

Excellent and affordable place to stay

The phone did not work. The staff had a poor attitude. Two elevators were out of service. Huge hole in driveway. Front desk clerk had an attitude that was very condescending.

The property was very clean and it was a very nice safe area.

Convenient, reasonably priced, breakfast

Staff was very friendly and efficient. Great location for our activities. Plenty of parking. Very satisfactory breakfast, coffee available all day. Quiet and no sound leakage from other rooms.

Hotel is in good condition and exceptionally clean. The folks at the desk couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. The property is basic, but very comfortable, spacious, comfy bed and great shower. I marked down a little just because a few things were not in working order, for which they were apologetic. Elevator was out of order. First room, the electronic shade was stuck in closed - they quickly reassigned me. The second room, the light filtering shade was stuck down but the room darker ing one was working. At breakfast the pancake machine wasnt working properly. I think it's a good option, they are just maybe having a run of repairs, mostly minor.

After checking in we went to the room and the door was cracked open but we couldn’t open the door all the way. Apparently the housekeeping had left halfway through cleaning the room and the bathroom door had swung open to block the main door from being able to open, so they gave us a new room. We had booked an accessibility room and the first one was on the second floor which is fine except for the fact that the elevator wasn’t working, so we had to take the stairs. The new room they gave us was also an accessibility room, which would have been great except for this one was on the THIRD floor, and the elevator was broken. It’s not their fault their elevator was broken, but to have no notice (we didn’t know until we checked in) and to be moved to the third floor because our second floor room wasn’t ready, especially since they knew we had specifically booked an accessible room, was kind of ridiculous. Other than that everything was fine. Standard but nothing special.

Front desk reservations gave me a "suite" (room was slightly larger than a normal room but I just thought it was the hotel layout) when they had regular rooms available. I had stayed there the night before for work, but ended up needing another night. So, I went back. Imagine my surprise when i see my bank statement and I GOT CHARGED $50 MORE THAN THE PREVIOUS NIGHT! I called the hotel and got the runaround of course. Jerks!!

The staff at the Holiday Inn Express Blowing Rock South is fantastic...so friendly, so helpful. They have a lovely and very clean hotel with an outstanding breakfast.

It was clean and quiet

Check in was mostly okay. Upon arrival to our room discovered the toilet was backed up and full of brown water. Seems like the cleaning staff would have noticed. I asked for help but was given a plunger by the front desk. Fixed it myself.

Don't get me wrong. The place was clean, the breakfast was good. It's just that the door to the room was so off that I had to put my shoulder to it so that it would close shut Also the sink drain was clogged and when I tried to move the stopper that was broken and it went down so the water would not drain. I told the cleaner about it on the way out and hope it was taken care of.
