We enjoyed it. I will say the suite we booked wasn’t what I expected. The description showed and listed exposed bricks and the pics showed two big windows. We didn’t have either. Not huge deal. But the issue we had was the shower water was barely warm and low pressure. That was pretty disappointing as my wife was looking forward to a warm shower before we went out to dinner.

For the price, this was a bit disappointing. The beds were really comfortable but that was the highlight of the stay. The location is great for walking the historic strand and the lobby of the hotel is beautiful. As for the room, we rented a junior suite with 2 queen beds for a girls weekend. The room’s nightstand was really wobbly/uneven. The plugs where they did exist were weird and loose so the cords wouldn’t stay put. The bathroom was oddly small and through the closet area, it was too dimly lit for doing makeup. The coffee maker had to be put on the floor near a plug because there was no other place to plug it in the room. There was a wet bar area in a nook along the wall around a corner but it had no plugs. It was just a really odd room over all, spacious but not user friendly. It was 50/50 on the staff. Some were nice and some just seemed unhappy to be there. Overall, it was kind of disappointing and I don’t know that I would stay again.

Excellent staff during greeting, car attendant and front desk. Room is very nice! Across the street from the theater so it was an ideal location.

Amazing stay! 9/10 recommend! My only issue is additional charge for shuttle to cruise port, for upwards of four hundred per night I expect a shuttle for a hotel catering to the cruise port to be included.

One nightvstay prior to boarding Carnival for week long cruise. Awesome customer service and great spots for food/beverage nearby. And just two blocks from the Carnival terminal!

Great hotel but don’t use the valet- they dented the front of our corvette and trier to tell us it was like that when they got it! We baby that car everywhere we go and no way we would have not known that! No they moved another car too close to it and didn’t take the blame. Shameful.

One of our favorite places to stay in Galveston. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We will be back for our next cruise or getaway.

The valet service was horrible. Antiquated communication methods and could no one would answer the phone to get car ready. Very poor service for charging $36! Also had a scratch on the passenger side door that I found when I arrived home! Also the light switch and receptacle in the bathroom were coming out of the wall! For the rating and price of this hotel, expected much more!

Arrived late after letting the property know multiple times of a flight delay. Room we reserved was "not available". Front desk workers were unhelpful and rude. Acted like we were the most annoying people in the world and all I did was check in. Super disappointed and sad because other people raved about this review. The property was beautiful and the breakfast on site was great. The staff working there were all amazing. Unfortunately, still won't recommend to others based on our experience.

The comfort of the beds and pillows are 2nd to none. The staff was friendly and just a over all good experience.

We were charged $450 for a suite with 2 queen beds. The photos looked so beautiful. When we got there they told us they oversold the rooms and didn’t have enough rooms in the main hotel. They moved us across the street to another building where they supposedly had the “suites”. We were given a beat up 1 bedroom apartment type of place where the bathroom door wouldn’t even properly close. It smelled like someone had been smoking there before. It was more similar to a motel 6 room than a 4 star hotel. All we were offered because of this screw up was a lot of I’m sorry and vouchers for free breakfast. Such a scam! Will never stay there again

The Tremont House Hotel in Galveston, Texas is located on the bay side of the island in downtown. The Gulf of Mexico beaches are a little over a mile away on the ocean side. The Tremont House is located very near where cruise ships dock. There is a trolley which runs between downtown and the beach, and there is a public transportation system. This flat, flat island is wonderful for riding a bicycle.

Nicely designed old property in a good location. But don't pay extra for the "view." It is not a view--if you look down you can see some of the atrium and for that you pay extra. It is a joke.

Very nice. The room was very roomy and dark for sleeping. Beds were so comfortable. I would recommend for 1 night as it’s a bit pricey with the 36 dollar added parking charge. .

Just and overnight waiting to get on a cruise with Grandkids. It worked well for us.

The Tremont has always been my husband's and my favorite hotel in the Houston/Galveston area. Its charm, beauty, and sophistication never cease to please. The Rooftop bar was such a nice touch. Can't wait for it to reopen. The walking distance to the Strand is perfect. Great fun!! If you're in the area, I highly recommend staying here.

The bar in the lobby has quite the history. Great food and service, lovely rooms.
