Confusing elevator but that made people talk to each other. Such friendly staff!

Gave me the only room out of 500 rooms that was musty and moldy. It smelled gross. They wanted to give me first floor then, as further punishment. I had to hold 3 times in order to get a satisfactory room. Stale beer smell sitting at the bar. 500 rooms and only 1 working elevator.

The room and facility were clean, modern, and comfortable but the staff were not always the most friendly and there was a wedding reception in a tent right outside our room so it was very loud while my kid was trying to go to sleep

Very nice hotel right on the water in Newton. I stayed for two nights as part of a business trip. I would stay there again. The rooms are recently updated with a sort of modern feel. I ate at the morning breakfast buffet, which was solid, and in the restaurant for dinner. The dinner entree was delicious.

When checking out at 4AM 21st/Sept, no attendent was available at the front desk. Restaurant waiters were professionally competent and good.

Rob was fine- standard for this brand. Public areas are a decade overdue for a complete refresh.

The beds are super comfortable! I slept all night long without waking up and that never happens.

No soundproofing of any kind. Didn’t sleep because too noisy

guests in next door room were extremely loud from approximately midnight until about 4:00 am...

This is a good third option for Boston College.

Very close to Lasel U. and easy access to highway, shopping and city.

The elevators were broken but staff was nice, although there weren't enough of them. .

Everything was spotless. Dining room was excellent.

it did have a nice surroundings of the river.

The rooms were not cleaned properly. Toilet was clogged when we first went to use it, how do you clean a toilet without flushing it? And if you flushed it you would know it’s not working properly. Maybe housekeeping just didn’t care. The shower and rest of the bathroom was also not cleaned with attention to details.

Great hotel with excellent staff and clean rooms. Will come again...

If you are travelling with a family and have a car, this is a great hotel. We drove to boston for all activities without having to deal with daily traffic and parking issues.

Convenient to town. Construction while we were there, but not during sleeping hours

It was Amazing !

Check in to my room only to be greeted by the sound of a work crew drilling on a lift outside my window. They didn't stop until 6 pm. That was repeated the next day. There aren't a lot of places nearby to eat so the hotel restaurant doesn't have a lot of competition which might explain the average food and the worst server I've had in ages. When I woke up to leave, I was greeted by a cockroach in the bathroom whose was apparently enjoying the hospitality more than I. About to check out, I discovered my car battery had died. I had cables and asked and the front desk if I could get someone to jump my car. No, and then rather than deal with me they went in another room. Thankfully one of my fellow guest was very hospitable and graciously offered to jump my car. Adjectives I wouldn't use to describe the hotel staff.

The hotel was nice. Able to check in without an additional charge. But not happy that I had to pay $16/day for parking in addition to the cost of the room and breakfast was “NOT” complementary.

House keeping came after I had been out all day and then tried to come early the next morning when I was checking out. A better system is needed. Grounds and room were beautiful. Fantastic location. Could do without paid parking.

This is a beautiful hotel in a so-so location. It’s quite noisy- lots of door slamming and activity in the hallways all night long. Not sure we’d stay here again.

Great Customer Service. The Receptionist was friendly and respectful.I think his name was Mitch. His attention to my requests was great. I would stay again.

my room didn’t have a closet! i had to hang a dress i was wearing for an event on the light fixture because the thing in the room that was supposed to enable clothes hanging was only about two feet up off the floor.

Worst Marriott experience ever. Room was so filthy I asked to switch. Got lesser room for second night (less 1 bed less balcony). Nobody even offered a refund. Cleaning crew started just past 7 AM super noisy talk nonstop impossible to sleep. Bathroom smelled like smoke from prior guest … O M G!
