Ok stay.... Room needed updating but overal agood stay. Room on 1st floor near pool was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night

Very underwhelming customer service.

The stay was nice, room clean and no noise. Maya at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I traveled for Detroit 3 hrs and i was exhausted but needed to attend my family bday party. She got me a room and it was nice, breakfast was good and i was even able to hit the treadmill. Thank you Country Inn for making my stay comfortable. I will be staying again whenever im in Muskegon.

After a long 10hr drive to Muskegon, we arrived to check in to our reserved booking here and was told our room was put up on a higher floor. We had tons of luggage and strollers bassinets etc. we unable to even get to the room because we couldn’t hall all of our items up the stairs! We asked to have concerige bring them up and we’re told no one was available. We didn’t get to the room before we understood that we’d have ro fo to a different hotel that could accommodate us! The man immediately told us we’d be refunded and our deposit was released back to us! I balled my family back up to the hotel the very next morning to verify the deposit was sent back and refund was initiated. The Mexican lady who supposedly runs the place assured us the deposit was sent back and we should receive within 3-5 business days(never happened). Also she stated that there was a policy of one nights rate she had to charge me and I was super upset about since we didn’t even make it to the room! She assured us that we’d get charged one night rate and our deposit was already on its way back to us, ALL A LIE TO GET US OUT OF THE DOOR. had she said anything about our deposit not being refunded at all, I would have wanted more clarity regarding that. She has lied to the third party booking, telling them that she won’t refund us at all! And that the deposit is not even coming back! A digusting, crooked deceitful manager as such should immediately replaced and coached extensively of operating in a

The staff were helpful and nice. The beds were really comfortable and clean.

Our room was.very clean...my mom was.disappointed she had.no scrambled eggs and bacon...my self I had hard boiled eggs and english muffin....

Close by Walmart and Michigan adventure!

Needs to be updated

Stayed for a night before picking up our student from Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Excellent location, lots of options for dining and supplies. Check in was uneventful, but be sure to ask for a free cookie if they don't offer! Beds were comfortable with decent pillows and sheets. The bathroom was showing its age in terms of wear and tear, but overall it seemed clean. The room itself was fine, though the armchair upholstery was spotted and could use a deep clean. A deciding factor for us was the pool - there is both an indoor and outdoor pool. The upper observatory deck was cordoned off when we were there. You will need to wear a wristband for both the pool and breakfast. Breakfast the was good with fresh fruit, breads, cereal, two different waffle makers, and gravy and biscuits. I appreciated the staff on hand to keep up with the people coming through. Overall, decent and close to Blue Lake for our purposes.

Front desk was super pleasant! This place is run down and dirty for 250.00 a night before tax, plus an additional 50.00 deposits when we arrived to check in, in case what we take a towel or damage room!?

Did not stay here! Crappy hotel in a crappy area.

No beef with house keeping,

Hallways not very clean, and signs of wear. Room was fine. At breakfast, coffee was periodically unavailable because they only had one dispenser out. For the price, I was expecting a little more.

The hotel was pretty average, and could use a little updating throughout. It was an overall fine stay, but I really hoped for just a little more. There's no elevator (which we fine for our family), except having to haul several loads of our stuff up the stairs (only to the second floor). Housekeeping had to haul their carts and supplies too, which was wild to see. Breakfast was sufficient but the staff working breakfast were not friendly or in any way pleasant, and they were very slow to refill the items that were available (eggs and sausage were the 'main course' one day and biscuits and gravy another day. The standards were also available (bagels, tooast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, and make your own waffles). The surrounding area has a decent amount of food options (Mcdonald, Arby's, Fazoli's, Wendy's, Applebees, and a Chinese buffet, and there was a Walmart, dollar store, and SAMs club all within walking distance. 15 minutes to Michigan Adventure, 11 minutes to Craig's Cruisers, and 15 minutes to Hoffmaster State Park.

The indoor pool area felt like it was over 100° because the area is surrounded by rooms that have the air conditioning unit. The heat from those units being blown Into the pool area caused the heat. I feel like that is a design flaw.

Staff was nice … the building was not kept up … in total disrepair

The staff was extremely friendly, the hotel was clean. However, to get new towels, we were told that there should be a number on the mirror to call and state that we needed them. Never saw any #’s the mirror so I had to go down to the desk and get towels. Clerk was extremely friendly and courteous. Kids enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools

They didn’t have an elevator and no working ice machine.

Hallway has heavy smoke/mold smell. Rooms have heavy antiseptic smell.

This hotel was quite dirty. Our room smelled like mildew from an unclean air conditioning unit. The this building was old and pretty run down.

The hotel felt a little old but was clean. Beds were comfortable. Wasn’t impressed with the bathtub shower. It served its purpose. Breakfast was pretty good with variety of items. Would probably stay there again if in the area. Bonus points for being in front of Sam’s club!

Stayed here with my husband and infant son (along with other family members in other rooms) we had a 1st floor room with the exterior pool view. The staff was friendly and helpful, we were miserable at the beach the day of check-in (too windy & cold) and I called them early afternoon and they graciously allowed us to check-in early. The housekeeping staff keeps the property/rooms extremely clean. The room itself was updated however some of the property could use cosmetic (i.e. paint) updates. Although right off the highway we could not hear any traffic. Conveniently located seconds from many grocery stores, restaurants and 15 mins to Michigan's Adventure. The inside pool & hot tub were warm and relaxing after a long day. The breakfast options were standard, and they have a patio by the exterior pool that was great to sit on and relax in the evening. 10/10 would recommend and if we stay in the area again it will be here.

The halls were NEVER vacuumed. I saw a lot of small things around lobby and breakfast area that need to be fixed. The fan in the bathroom in rm 205 needs fixing. It needs a lot of updating! (Everywhere) Very empty pop machine. The door didn’t seem to latch tight. No elevator.

Clean and off the highway

Not-so-good. The area of the hotel was unkempt. Cleanliness was not the best. We had to request clean pillows upon our arrival. The building smelled old. The towels & bedding were pretty clean. We weren't expecting perfection, but the pictures the hotel provided were touched up & did not provide a very realistic expectation of what we encountered. Staff was friendly overall. However, we will not be returning to this hotel in the future, based on misleading advertising.
