Lovely hotel, great staff, fab breakfast

Superb hotel in fantastic location, right next to Balmins beach and easily walkable into San Sebastián and Sitges town. Room was lovely, great size with excellent balcony and lovely bathrooms. Serviced daily. Breakfast was fantastic with huge selection of everything, freshly cooked food, fruits, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, breads, cereals, yoghurts and much more. Very friendly and helpful staff, great pool area and fantastic choice of food and beverages around the pool. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent hotel overall

It was an average hotel with average service and average amenities.

Sitges is a chill city.. we liked the hotel as it is conveniently located around 20 mins from the center. The walk can be a bit tough as it is hilly but it is nice to see the coast while walking to the hotel. The staff at the hotel are so nice and helpful. The room view is amazing and the rooms are generally clean and comfortable.

Very pleasant hotel - walkable to beach, lovely breakfast, nice room, beautiful port and restaurants. However not good for people who struggle with stairs and walking as town is quite hilly to get to from this hotel.

Terrible experience checking in. Asked for double or king size bed, at check in and was told we’d have to upgrade. Do we did. When we got our room it was not an upgrade , 2 single beds looking out on a roof. Eventually we got the room with a king bed.. then the safe did not work. Took hours and repeated calls to get someone to fix it. Not a good experience

Stayed at this hotel many times . Modern large comfortable rooms . Fantastic shower. Only negative is position to main town. I good walk or taxi needed . I think its worth the walk .

Lovely sea.view room with balcony. Large bed plus sofa bed for teen daughter. All comfortable and with 3 pillow choices! Clean spacious bathroom with shower. Minibar (payable) complimentary bottles of water each day. Maid service and freah towels daily. We checked in early and could leave our cases and were given pool towels to enjoy the facilities straight away. The pool is a good size but could have been cleaner as water often looked dirty and the pool has mouldy tiles around the sides. We paid for buffet breakfast which had a great choice, hot and cold. We purchased drinks and ice cream from the little van at the pool which was convenient. The only disappointment was with the lunch menu...the sandwiches and fries looked good but only had meat enquired whether we could have a vegetarian option such as cheese but were told no so we only had fries. Overall a lovely stay with helpful staff close enough to main Sitges town.

Great location

To start with the check in was a nightmare. They couldn’t find the booking. After 30 min or so they found it. My room was not ready so they gave me towels to get access to the pool while waiting. When I came back for my keys they had lost the paperwork!!!! After signing a document again the room nightmare started. I booked a family junior suite and they gave me a king size and a couch . My brother upgraded to the same and he did get one king and individuals, exactly as described on their website. I complained as it showed on the website what a family junior suite is. No one cared. The main bathroom was clogged and I took a video . We went for dinner and when we came back the couch was still a couch with no sheets. I had to go downstairs because of course the phone in the room didn’t work well. Around 1 am the sheets came. For $860 a night!!! This is my first experience of a Melia in Europe. In Latin America it has always been good.

The breakfast was yummy! Rooms were clean and modern, the service was wonderful and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Nice views, awesome breakfast, comfortable bed lovely beaches in easy walking distance. Good quality gym.

Property was very clean and close to the beach.

I enoyed the visit to Sitges and wanted to book a one night in the area. I chose Melia because of their reputation. I was happy that I did. It was the perfect location for me and steps from the beach I wanted to visit. Property was secure and the view was spectacular. I will return here.

Melia is perfectly located, old format Melia hotel but perfectly clean, great location and very quiet. A good option if you really want to scape away of your routine and disconnect!

The stay at the Melia Sitges I booked through Expedia was more than disappointing. It’s rated 4 star on Expedia and the place was filthy. When I checked in I was given a room that had been smoked in. As I was about to call desk the cleaning staff came in with an air filter. I’m asthmatic and that’s not gonna get that musty smoke filled smell out in time in order to avoid a crisis. So the front desk changed my room. In the new room I hadn’t noticed the air conditioning vent when I entered room. But in the morning in noticed there was what appeared to be black mold/mildew on and around vents and also on the shower ceiling. I reported it to management and she assured me it would be rectified. Vent was replaced and cleaned. However, when I went to take shower later, in order to keep my balance, I leaned on wall with dark tile and discovered the dark tile wall was also filthy with what appeared to be mold/mildew that got on my hand. Do they think at Melia just because the tile is dark you they have to clean it? Do I have to specify everything that needs to be cleaned? The place is disgusting… all the hallway carpets are filthy and stained.... If you can’t clean the stain replace the carpet!!!

Exceptional service from the hotel staff in assisting us with transportation. This is particularly important as the hotel is located a significant distance from the town center.

Allocated standard room after booking a Premier room. Carpets very dirty, signs of flooding. Air conditioning very poor, condition of bathroom tired and shower covered in growth/dirt. Breakfast same everyday very average. Pool area very crowded and facilities for kids.

5th time staying here and it never fails. Stunning views, fabulous breakfast, excellent staff. (We originally booked a standard room. When we arrived we were given a room that had definitely seen better days! However, we upgraded and our room was perfect!) If we’re allowed to mention individuals: Maria Angeles is a shining star and brightens your day.

This is the only hotel to stay in Sitges. Great breakfast, central air conditioning, amazing shower, beautiful pool and pool area, and all rooms have a great size balcony, close enough to town but not in the middle of the party. Great walkable restaurants in the marina and next to Balmins beach. The train station is just a 15min walk. You also have a supermarket 10min away.

We absolutely loved our stay at the MELIA Sitges. The staff are pleasant, the room is comfortable, the food and service is good and the location is great. If I could point to one small improvement it would be to provide a kettle to guests. We did ask for one at reception but we’re informed it would cost an extra €10 per night (€40 for a 4 night stay!) When you’re paying nearly €200 per night it leaves a slightly sour taste being asked to pay extra for something basic like a kettle. Other than this minor complaint it was a faultless experience, and I would definitely return.

The hotel was perfect in every way, from Paul on reception (who sorted out some of Expedia’s mess ups) to the poolside food which was exceptional. My tip… book direct with the hotel, expedia are absolutely useless. Would like to fight over my incorrect room and bill, but really don’t have the energy. If you take one tip from my review, run from Expedia !

TOWELLS WERE LIKE SANDPAPER EVERY DAY. NEED DIFFERENT TOWELS OR FABRIC SOFTNER NEEDS TO BE USED.

The hallways to the rooms have incredibly dirty carpeting but the rest of the property is very nice. Paul at the front drawl was very helpful.
