Tiki bar and pool area is superb and bar staff were excellent. The beach is lovely

The resort was beautiful! Didn’t like that the pool always closed up early at dusk. When we got back from the beach & dinner we always wanted to swim, but it was never open. Should stay open till at least 11pm. I never used the pool. Our last night it was actually still open at 8:45, so my husband used it, I was already changed so i didn’t. A hot tub attached would’ve been nice. Not a real private beach as stated on website. It’s a ladder to get into the water which was full of seaweed. Very misleading. So we left every day to go to the beach come back to swim in a pool that was never open. No arcade as listed on the website, another misleading listing on the website. We were told they took it away to play outdoor games. Another thing we wanted to do after getting back for the night. The kitchen area was very dark, lighting wasn’t good. Only 1 light above the eating counter, no light above sink, microwave, fridge, coffe pot counter & area. 1 day our room didn’t get cleaned & some of the other days, they forgot kitchen towel & face wipes lotion bar soap. We never received any shampoo or conditioner bottles on the counter. We just kept using bathroom hand towels for the kitchen towel which never got replaced. We would’ve stayed at the hotel if there was a real beach there. So we really never got to enjoy the hotel at all.

Great stay!!! We had an oceanfront room that was beautiful!! Bottles of water from the desk upon arrival, staff friendly, rooms super clean and tiki bar was a plus!! Kayaks and bikes are free to use on the property. My boys loved that!! The free shuttle van the hotel provides is a huge bonus! You can use it within 4 miles to go anywhere and the driver Nick is awesome!!! One negative is that tiki bar kitchen closes at 10pm, which was a bummer because we were all hungry for something for a late night snack. We will definitely be back !!!!

A really wonderful resort with a lovely pool and tiki bar area. The staff were all very welcoming and the hotel was kept very clean. The rooms are large and clean, if slightly dated. Would definitely look to visit again.

We stayed here one night and we wished we could had stay longer. The lobby is beautiful, the staff is very friendly, the room was comfortable and the overall service was great. Highly recommend it!

It’s the first time we find a really bice hotel with good ambience. The only disadvantage is that breakfast serves only until 10am. Lunch starts u til 11:30am.

It was an amazing getaway. Incredible resort, grounds look like Bali. You won’t regret staying here.

We stay here each time we go to Islamorada! Our favorite place to stay!

Not very quiet, pool area restricted to what is sold at the restaurant which allows theme park pricing.Staff were responsive and great with additional requests. Room was ok but paid for lanai that had no breeze and was uncomfortable to sit . There was a stain in chair inside that resembles feces behind a pillow on the chair, but I am sure the room was otherwise clean.

I wanted to start by saying we did love our stay but for the price thought it was necessary for major major improvements. Check in is at 4 which is late to begin with but our room wasn’t ready until after 4 and come to find out they start cleaning rooms for check outs at 8:00 am even if the check out time is 11:00. We added a night to our reservation separately and were awoken at 8 even though the check in had said we just had to come down to reactivate our room key and nothing else would be an issue. The cleaning service continued to come to our room as if we were checking out and I told the front desk again, she responded “fine I’ll tell them” as if that shouldn’t have been done the day before and that morning when I came down and spoke to her about it. The restaurant on site was extremely overpriced. Claims 2 restaurants on site, only one. Service was good for some tables but horrible for us, no one came over but the water lady. Waitress came after 20 minutes wrote down our food and never came back until check but it wasn’t even busy. Once that was situated no other issues with staff, pool and bar staff were phenomenal. We loved the pool, bar, happy hour, games on the beach, rented bikes and paddle boards, and all the activities they have planned. This made it feel like a resort. When we first got there we were feeling like a glorified motel, the parking lot and rooms on left need major updating. All rooms could use updates, no fancy lobby can hide that.

Wonderful stay at Amara Cay! We will definitely be back. We were able to bring our dog and enjoyed all the amenities together as a family. Super relaxing and all of the staff were very friendly!

Overpriced. There is no actual access to any beach, so you are paying an exorbitant amount of money just to swim in a pool. Our TV and phone were dead when we arrived. After complaining, they managed to get the TV up, but the phone was dead all visit and I couldn’t reach the front desk. The area does not offer much variety of dining and getting around is not easy without a car. Best to spend your money elsewhere.

In the hotel's advertising they say that they have beaches, but no one can swim on these beaches, it is a dock for boats, in conclusion the hotel does NOT have beaches.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Amara Cay. The resort was beautiful and the service was wonderful.

Stayed here for 3 nights, The hotel and facilities were great but unfortunately they had issues with the hot water and we had no hot water for 2 days and the fire department was there at least twice because the fire alarms kept going off. The hotel did give us a small credit but the lack of communication and no updates for the 2 days without hot water was disappointing.

hotel was very nice, the free (included in resort fee) shuttle was great for dinning or going out for cocktails. DO NOT get a room with a joining room unless you require it. You can hear your neighbors conversations.

Our stay could not have been better. We were looking for a beautiful and quiet place to relax and this hotel definitely was all of that and more. The food is amazing too !

Property has fantastic outdoor areas and activities. Close to all the fabulous dining options in Islamorada.
