Very professional staff

The staff was amazing and the breakfast superb.

Had a great stay for 2 days. The staff was uniformly upbeat and helpful. The rooms are unique, on the smaller side by American standards but well appointed and equipped. Comfortable bed and great shower. An easy and quick tram ride from Gothenburg Central Station or a 20 minute walk, in the Heden neighborhood. Lots of good restaurants nearby and nice area. Easy to get to the Haga District and other noteworthy sites via tram (get day pass at 7-Eleven and tap on tram or bus to activate). They serve a nice breakfast in the morning and have coffee available throughout the day. I definitely recommend staying here, it was great.

We had a very difficult situation in the end of our stay and the staff were fantastic. They did everything for us and I will tell all people I know about this hidden gem of a hotel!!

Nice and clean hotel with delicious breakfast. Located next to a tram stop which makes transportation easy. Many restaurants nearby.

Good stay, excellent location near Liseberg and restaurants. Great family room for five people (Superior). Only drawback is that our room faced the street and there were lots of noise coming in from the open window. Not a problem during autumn/winter stays probably.

Love the little cabin. The grounds were nice - but there were no extras. For example we had to pay to rent sheets and towels and there was a kitchen but there wasn’t any coffee or tea or salt and pepper available. It probably was in the fine print but I didn’t see it ahead of time. They emailed me in Swedish the day before but it took an effort to translate it. It was fun being so close to the beach and we had several single beds.

Good location and pleasant hotel.

I stayed over 1 night in Gothenburg. It is just across the street from Scandinavium and a stonethrow from Lieseberg. I walked downtown in 15-20 minutes. Fairly old building. For the first time in my (travelling) life I was close to complain about noise from the floor above. You can basically hear someone walk around above. There were parking offered on sight (to be paid 29€), don't expect to park a bigger car on the premises, it is a very tight yard in the back of the hotel. I think they also offer parking outside the premises. The elevator is probably one of the smallest I've been in. I did not have the breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would probably not stay again due to the parking and noise issue.

The staff is great and brings great service. However the room I was staying in had a few issues. First of all I could hear every word what was said in the room next to mine. When someone was walking on the floor above my room there was creaky noises. At last, when using the shower in the evning/night it did take several minues for the water to get warm.

Five of us stayed in a room. The staff was friendly and breakfast buffet had good selection. The room was ok but found something that did not belong to us and wondered about cleaning quality. Overall, it was a good stay and I would recommend this hotel.

Very friendly and helpful Staff, the Hotel is in walking distance to pretty much everything - sightseeing places, shopping and public transportations. the rooms are very clean and provides everything you need for your stay.

Value for money, but difficult to get parking space..

We had to book last minute due to a cancelled flight and ended up having a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and the breakfast was lovely.

My wife and my three kids stayed at Hotell Onyxen over the weekend. At the night between saturday-sunday we tucked in for the night. However just when we were falling asleep, around midnight loud (really loud) music started to play. We found out next morning that there was a party in the penthouse suite. Really loud music, screaming, even jumping around that all kept us from getting any decent chance for sleeping. I think it lasted until 5 in the morning, by then the hotel stay was totally ruined for us. We were exhausted from lack of sleep. So, conditions for going to work next monday were not great. This is the first time EVER that I was more relaxed before the hotel stay than after.A prudent compensation for this debacle would have been refunds for cost of the stay the night in question. At least. What we really got was 20% off the NEXT stay. No thanks!The stay at Hotel Onyxen is by far the worst hotel experience of mine and my wifes lives. And we have experienced several different hotels. I seriously recommend that you pick another hotel for a successful stay in Gothenburg. I mean, a party that loud, lasting for an hour or so would be annoying, but tolerable. But this lasted the entire night. If this hotel had any type of standard I think youd expect the hotel management to put a stop to some of their guests harassing their other guests his way. But obviously not Hotel Onyxen.

Stayed for 3 days at Hotell Onyxen, Overall hotel located within 15 minutes walk of main city centre, local tram and bus located with 2 minutes walk. Overall cost was reasonable for the quality and comfort.Hotel is reasonably presented, however staff are not hugely friendly but will answer questions when asked. Breakfast is a nice spread of cereal, bread, cheese, meat and some warm foods. Enough to start your day. Tea and coffee available in reception but had to ask several times for more milk or hot water. Room was comfortable, however located over the drive way got smoke from smokers below when opening the window. Bathroom was very small in comparison to the size of the room which was quite spacious.Overall a reasonable stay for the cost.

nice design throughout plus functional room. friendly service. rather poor selection of international channels; only sky news for politics...modern bathroom was fine. good enough breakfast. the single room was spacious and comfortable. for the rather high price a fridge would be nice.

Great hotel, fantastic restaurant too They couldn't do enough for us. Had a problem with the TV signal, very same day an engineer appeared and sorted, was not expecting that. Really big rooms. Highly recommend the restaurant downstairs, exquisite food.

Nice hotel in quiet neighborhood that was within easy walking distance of a number of sites and attractions.
