Good

Been coming for years but most of the staff that i really got to know are gone now its like being around robots instead of friends. Property is getting ran down. Only thing they have is the beachfront is amazing. Snorkeling is amazing.

Overall hotel was good but food wise their dinner restaurant that requires dressing code was disgusting you wat better at their cocal restaurant that is near the beach.

I loved the very professional staff and the exceptional cleanliness. The food was just fine and it is a nice quiet, family friendly hotel. The location on the beach and the island are perfect.

I loved everything about the property and the staff. We will go back next year and I have stayed there many times.

The food was good, people nice and beac was great. If they want to improve I would say some extra umbrellas by the beach and working on Cleaning the rooms more, it had a moldy smell and dirty sheets.

The staff is great for the most part, there was a few that wasn’t. They snorkeling was good right of the beach. When you book an excursion from the front desk you need to check everything about it.

The pools are open from 7 am-10pm! You could go to the restaurant for dinner without dressing up, just slip your cover up on (men need to have a shirt), eat and go back to your beach chair. It was perfect! The facilities were clean, staff was great. You can't beat the service, food and atmosphere for the price

Second Time here and it was not the same as the first.

Worst resort we have ever stayed at. From pulling up at the resort there was no one to greet us then we had to stand at the front desk for a while because no one seemed to want to help us. Food was HORRIBLE..pools were absolutely disgusting and had a terrible smell to them. None of the employees seemed happy at all so service wasn’t good all week we were there. Beds were the worst we have ever slept on, very old hard matresses. No fun entertainment for the kids whatsoever. We will never be back to say the least!

The food was nearly inedible. Luckily we only stayed for one night. The room was extremely hot and the bathroom, especially the shower was very unsanitary. I did not want to go in without my shoes. The mattresses were extremely hard and there was no Wi-Fi connection in our room. We will not stay here if we return to Cozumel. The staff was more than friendly and helpful and I appreciate their service. I wish the facilities and menus would be updated. Sewage smell was overwhelming.

The property and the staff were great, but the ACin the room was not working properly and it was very noisy, also in the formal restaurant the same issue no AC, if this simple but key things are fixed , I would come back for sure

Lots of amenities Needs some TLC

I paid for a three-night reservation but only stayed for less than a day (July 6, 2024). The worst hotel experience I have ever had!!! Dirty rooms (molded, rusted bathroom). worn out, caved-in mattress, beach closed packed with DRY sargassum (days of accumulation), swimming pool discussing (green scummy water with debris inside the pool, the buffet recycled the same soggy vegetables served for lunch during dinner with ZERO main protein dish...They ran out of meat with almost no guests in the hotel. The condition of the premises is deplorable. I demand a refund! The front desk dismissed my complaint with a "sorry, we don't have control over natural disasters!! (Since Hurracine Beryl occurred two days before but there was no damage to the property at all!) The few hotel guests were also complaining about the situation but the hotel staff did NOTHING to alleviate the situation!!!.

The beach was beautiful, not crowded so it’s very relaxing. The food was typical buffet food but nothing to complain about it’s what I would’ve expected. We had to leave very early into our trip due to hurricane beryl but the staff was very helpful.

Old beaten up furniture in room, no deadbolt in room, outside smelled of seaweed and stereo, buffet was in a rickety barn type building, unable to use beaches, how it got a 4 star rating is beyond me.

Have stayed several times over the last 10 years. Accommodations are good and staff is excellent, but maybe needing a little bit of a makeover with the hotel, starting to show some age.

This is a older budget friendly resort. Its buffet changes from day to day. There is a fine dining restaurant for dinner with reservation. The beach is beautiful and has great snorkeling. The employees are the best and very accommodating to your needs..They are always cleaning. Since it is older, it does need a bit of remodeling, but for the price of this all inclusive it is worth the stay. Ask for Danny at the El Cocal buffet and restaurant.

This was our second time visiting this resort. Great beach and awesome service. The food was good and the drinks were OK, but it was all included. Unfortunately, hurricane Beryl cut our vacation short. The staff moved all guests into the convention center, where all sun lounging chairs were set up for us to sleep through the storm. All staff was available the entire night and made sure we were safe and comfortable at all times. The next morning the staff made sure the building was safe and clear of debris. They did an awesome job at ensuring we were OK and helped us get to the airport on time since no taxis were available that morning. Awesome customer service! Can't wait to return.

The food options were limited and basic

The property was located in a nice and quiet area that was not far from shopping and entertainment! The staff were very accommodating and pleasant to be around!

Great resort! Can’t wait to return

Poor communication leading up to the hurricane. All activities shut down Wednesday morning, July 3rd,2024. Difficult to get staff to provide services such as food and drink orders. Felt like we were a nuisance to staff. Will not recommend or return. We moved to Hotel Casa Mexicana on July 4th even though we were paid through July 5th at El Cozumeleno. Their rooms were nicer, cleaner and better communication. Made us fell welcomed and were attentive to our needs.

El Cozumeleno is a great family resort. The staff went above and beyond to take care of anything we needed. The beach is the best around. Great snorkeling!

We love the property and Esperanza that greets you out front is simply the sweetest always with a smile

I had a wonderful experience! Safe, clean, the friendliest and most accommodating staff. They really go above and beyond to make you feel like family, like coming home.

The employees were all very nice and helpful. The food made to order at the grill at the buffet was great! Drinks aways available.

Been staying 20 years

Our second time at the resort, this time for our parents 71st anniversary. The staff couldn't have been greater! They made our folks feel special the whole time!

The staff was excellent. Carlos, Roberto, Randy, Leonardo, and others went the extra to make sure things were good. The bed was awful. I think it was original bed when place first opened…very bad. Birds kept flying into to buffet area and landing in food service area and eating because doors were left open and food wasn’t always covered. We had food on our table, turned our back for a second and birds started eating our food. We started ordering from the menu. The snorkeling area was fantastic. We would have enjoyed music playing around pool area. In the evening, it would be very quiet with nothing to do. This was not my first or second stay at El Coz but will be my last.
