All hotels need a food upgrade

We planned to stay in Wilson,before going to Kinston,N.C.,to visit my sister and brother-in-law and niece. Because it was our anniversary,it was time for ourselves before visiting family.We had dinner at a Jamaican restaurant and also enjoyed breakfast at the hotel. The hotel cook was a good hostess.

The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, the rooms were overbooked, and we were placed in a room with electrical issues where the bathroom lights and outlets didn't work. The hotel staff made an effort to find us another room, but the hotel was too full to accommodate a change.

The GM and front desk were amazing at handling the problem caused by .com reservation for the wrong day. I appreciate you ladies for spending the hour on the phone to make sure that my reservation was correctly processed and I was eventually able to go to my room and go to bed!

Excellent for children

Personal were polite & courteous, breakfast supplied was great & very delicious. Laundry dryer was out of order. Ice machine on 2nd floor out of order. There wasn't any non-skid matt in bathtub for a shower to prevent slipping or falling. Toilet paper holder ready to fall off the wall. No handsoap and no paper towels in men's lobby rest room.

Room was fine, hotel was very quiet. The fire alarm went off 3 times. I had to call the front desk and found out he was resetting the panel. It was probably an honest mistake, but led to an awful night of no sleep. Otherwise it was average, which is fine for a quick stop over.

Everything was great and the people were hospitable.

Check in was at 3 pm they had no rooms cleaned so we had to sit and wait didn’t get a room till 4:14 pm, there was a dirty stained towel left in room and our toilet was stopped up, we let the front desk know and they said they new about it “ok then why would you give the room to paying guests if you knew the toilet was having issues “ then they brought a plugger and just knocked on the door and handed it to us and we had to unstop the toilet ourselves, sorry to say this I won’t be staying here again and I love Holiday Inn just won’t stay at this one ever again.

Nice quiet and clean The front desk staff was very nice. The breakfast was good.

Serious mold issue, toilet plunges in the hallways, they took the coffee cups out of the room. I went down and got replacements and they removed those as well. They don’t want you drinking the coffee in the room. The run your card for the full amount before you check in.

Staff was AMAZING I was going through something at the time of check in, Nicole took the time out to comfort me, listened to me & even gave me a hug. The room was clean the check in & out were easy. Staff made SURE that we had everything we needed & took the time out to make sure that we knew where everything in the hotel was located . The price for the room was a good deal as well. Location was especially convenient we were in walking distance of several eateries. My family especially loved the pool would MOST DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to anyone

Subpar room for a Hoiliday Inn Express. Felt heavily worn despite some new tile etc. room way too light at night due to flood lights and a bad blackout shade

Horrible really really bad never stay here there’s roaches inside and outside…. Tim’s are gross still had old moldy food in them, dirt on floor bugs and roaches in room

We checked in very late, and the front desk clerk held the room for us. She was extremely courteous and helpful which put us at ease after a very long and arduous drive.

I enjoyed my stay the staff was very friendly the room was clean the hotel was clean and the breakfast was amazing ...the pool could have been open though it was 90 degrees other than that it was a overall great experience

Our room was fine. Updating needs to continue in the public spaces. It looked a little run down but staff was friendly and helpful.

People are super friendly, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast selection was ample. The only area that I didn't give five stars was the fact that there were not a lot of restaurants right nearby but that's not a big deal overall, a great stay.

I left one of my belongings inside the room closet the day of check out. I've tried calling the holiday inn and they will not answer the telephone. Poor service. I asked for a receipt when I checked out the hotel and the staff stated they were out of paper. What??? Then the dryer is out of order.

Perfect end to snowbird season

Good value. Convenient location with easy access to restaurants and baseball stadium. No problems at all.

The lady working the front desk was awesome. So nice and sweet. The cleanliness of the hotel was gross. Our bath tub was nasty. Therenwas hair all over the bathroom floor and the carpets we dirty.

I feel that the front desk should be more respectful.. she treated us like we didn’t understand her language. She Talked to us as if we’ve never got a hotel room before, stated that she was fully booked and I was about to loose my rooms because she could’ve given my room away for much more than what I was paying for, because they had ran my card in the morning and it declined. We had came to check in at 2 pm but was told that rooms were not ready till 3 so when we got back all the problems happened, Mind you I’ve reserved hotels many many times and never have we gotten treated like this. She ranted on about the rooms and the guest and then on to my ID that is cracked and then what the police would do and so on.. I felt the other 2 assistant was annoyed by her already because the other 2 asistant didn’t say much .. at this point I was thinking just give me the room and I will be on my way.. I’ve traveled many times and never had a problem till I checked in to this one. I wusa myself because my kid and his team mates were all here.. I spoke to the parents and they all felt flustered when arrived..
