Visited Barcelona for 2nd visit to Granada. Lovely hotel and beautiful city. Staff very friendly - rooftop bar staff a little surly. Will return.

Hotel is very well placed. Unfortunately the door to the terrace could not lock (which is unsafe) and the internet in the room did not work. Apart from that everything was fine.

Excellent location and well maintained. The breakfast was very good as well.

Poor service at rooftop bar. Only interested in diners. Chose to spend early evening at the rooftop bar and while we were sitting with drinks in hand staff started adding a table to our existing table and setting up the table for diners. We were invisible even though we were buying drinks. The first occasion we let it go but they did the same on another evening. Also noticed others being been directed away from table that were available.

I liked breakfast. It was a huge buffet, and the food was delicious. I also liked the swimming pool, although it could be a little bit bigger. The elevators were confusing at the beginning but later it was OK. I really recommend to stay in this hotel!

Minutes after our arrival, we went to the rooftop bar. DO NOT MISS the views from this spot!!! Also, do not miss Granada!

Hotel on main street with many restaurants and shopping close by. El corte inglés across the street. Very clean, beds and pillows very comfy. Had an inside room facing a small courtyard, no noise at all! Great rooftop pool and bar with amazing views. If you’re up for the walk, an up hill walk, you can walk to the Alhambra.

Excellent! The hotel does as the advertised “attention to detail”. My birthday was the day after our arrival and I came back to the room to a bottle of cava, fruit and a small cake with a candle and a cute sign on the mirror congratulating me for my birthday. The gesture was greatly appreciated. The cleaning team was fantastic and overall great experience. We will be staying at Barcelo Carmen in the near future as well as recommend it. Thank you!

Overall, I had a fabulous stay here at the Barcelo Carmen. Breakfast is fantastic, location is great, room was good, and rooftop terrace and pool okay. Lots of things to like, but why do I need to get to the terrace on the 8th floor and need to go back to zero to get a towel? Why are there only enough Sun loungers for half the people that want them? And why haven’t you reconsidered and redesigned the terrace to make safety around the pool and walking surfaces a priority, and reconfigure the space to what people appear to want?

Very happy to have stayed at this hotel as it was very clean and convenient - we were very close to the city centre as well as a supermarket right opposite and a taxi rank that could get us anywhere for affordable prices! The staff were lovely too - we had an issue with the AC on the first night we arrived but was promptly resolved. One thing I would echo from some reviews is to have more options for the breakfast - not surprised there are no halal options but would be great to have some fish options! Lastly and this is not to the hotel itself but a tip to other guests - please don’t stare so blatantly at Muslims and especially women who wear hijabs because you make us uncomfortable and give us a negative experience!

Great service. Bell boy was very helpful. Warning: water pressure in the shower. Water totally stops but starts again after 30 seconds. Thank you.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. The view of Granada from the rooftop is spectacular. The pool was smaller than I expected. Everyone who works here was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was great with extensive choices. The hotel is in a very convenient location with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

As a couple, we thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay. The rooms were fresh, and the lounge areas were comfortable and inviting. The pool area was great, though it could get a bit crowded at times. Breakfast was decent, though somewhat repetitive. The only downside was the food at the top restaurant, B Heaven, which was disappointing—lacking flavor and seeming like it was microwaved. Overall, we would gladly return if given the chance and would highly recommend this place.

A Must stay while in Granada

The Hotel Carmen was well located to restaurants and shops. The pool is very small and was overcrowed each day. My husband and I had to use the outdoor shower to cool off.
