Convenient to walk from ferry. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable, air conditioning good. Shower pressure good and shower was hot. Quite noisey at times - other residents able to be heard running and yelling in hallways from my room. Loud construction noise for at least an hour one morning. Pool area lovely with nice vista. Breakfast OK, not many options for vegan but for a lot for everyone else. A long way from any good beaches or snorkelling. Close to plenty of delicious restaurants, atms, groceries if needed. Fridge in room is useful

GOOD__This place is in a great location, with authentic individuals making up the work force. If you don't speak Spanish, then do not expect fluency in the staff. Having said that, the staff is appropriately business like, respectful, efficient (for Mexico..very much) and awesome. If you try to speak Spanish, that is good, you are tolerated. many many things nearby walking distance, walk to ferry no problem...even with suitcases. Safe, Not recommend party big on property...but ALL the party you want within a couple blocks and nice pool deck to share with other middle class guests including natives to Mexico..which is nice to me but requires Americans to be on their best behavior BAD---oceanfront wear and tear. This place and downtown is nice for an island ruled by Mexico. The people maintain as they see fit, but there is a little mold and the floor can be a bit slippery.

They need to have both escalators in working condition.

This is a dive resort. Amazing service - couldn't be better. The only negative is the very hard beds.

Great location and the breakfast was fantastic. On the downside, the escalator down was not operable.

This was our 3rd visit this year. The staff is great, everyone of them is working to make your visit memorable. The location is close to everything that the downtown area offers. Stay here and explore what Cozumel has to offer.

Perfect in location. Easy safe walk to dining, snorkeling shopping and ferry.

Liked the customer service of Elizabeth, it made up for one of the gentlemen that seems that hate his job. I did not like that the scalator was not working properly it was a nuissance and the flies at the breakfast site.

I liked that there was an indoor pool and I like the view of the Caribbean Sea from the indoor pool. I liked that there was a balcony and that the room had central air. I liked that the room had a fridge that I discovered on my own. I liked that the room has a safe, even if it did not work. I did not like that the hotel did not have a parking lot. I had to play Russian roulette in an attempt to find nearby street parking. The escalators going down never worked. The bathroom ceiling had black mold and was leaking water near the light fixtures. The night prior to my check out the room started to stink like mildew. The bed was not real comfortable. Constantly being harassed by people on the street trying get a buck became a bit irritating.

Staff was really friendly and always there to accommodate such needs. Hotel is centrally located around all amenities within walking distance. Room was upkeep daily and spotless. Thank you Casa Mexicana for making our stay pleasant.

Decent hotel with the great location. It’s just 7 minutes walk from the ferry to Playa. We had big room with comfortable bed. I would recommend this hotel and don’t think twice to stay here again

A beautiful property! Highly recommend a stay here if you're in Cozumel. I chose to stay at Casa mexicana as i had scuba diving booked with Aldora diving company, the pickup point for diving was just across the road, so very convenient & easy!! The staff were all very friendly & accommodating. Loved the small touches such as welcome drink & refreshing towel on arrival, perfect when it was incredibly hot on arrival. The pool area is gorgeous, with stunning sunsets each evening, plenty of relaxing loungers & seats. Thanks to Expedia VIP, i received a room upgrade to an Ocean view room, what a treat! Spacious, bright & relaxing quiet room, incredible view, the most comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. The included breakfast was delicious, plenty of options to suit every taste. The staff at breakfast were very friendly & welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I'll be back!

Good service, bit of English/Spanish & Dollar/Peso translation issue. Our room was nice overlooking the ocean with a balcony. Nice little pool to cool off in. Good breakfast, bad coffee and dirty ice & bucket.
