Good hotel friendly staff

This was our second stay at the Hotel Alba. Just like last time, the staff were polite, helpful & knowledgeable; the room and public spaces were very clean & modern. We considered it to be good value for money. The Maitre d and his restaurant team were very efficient, friendly & professional, however we did find that the meals were a bit under par compared with our previous experience. There are no drink making facilities in the room, so having learned from our last stay we took a travel kettle & tea & coffee. Overall we’d whole heartedly recommend the Hotel Alba as a great place to stay in Lourdes.

When we first checked in, the first room offeded was at the rear, not a front river view as booked and pre-paid. The receptionist did move us to a river view room after checking with the manager. After a few days, water started coming through the ceiling of the bathroom when the shower in the room above was used. This in turn came through and soaked the carpet in our room, making it uninhabitable. We were initially moved to a room at the end of an upper floor but this had no wkfi signal. The next room offered was at the rear just above some noisy fans. Eventually by juggling bookings we got a room at the front,with wifi and no flooding. The hotel location is good, far enough from the centre to be quiet, but an easy level walk to tne grotto and basilica which is the reaso we and everyone comes to Lourdes. It primarily caters for organised groups and individual guests can feel marginalised. For example the main, larger dining room is reserved for groups at breakfast and we had to use the smaller first floor dining room where the food and service were only average and poor value. If they can sort out the plumbing and wifi, this has the potential to be an excellent hotel. For now, we would not return.

Very nice lobby and very friendly. WiFi is not good. Good breakfast and good location. We highly recommend this place.

Stayed on the 2nd floor. The bed was not comfortable and got strong smells of cigarette smoke from other rooms. It would be nice if the rooms had a small fridge and a kettle to make tea or coffee. Other than that the staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful.

The property is close to the grotto, roomy, pleasant, clean and nice location, close to the shuttle and bus stops. Our suggestions as guests, there should be kettle for tea and coffee in the bedroom as sometimes we just need a warm drinks after waking up just before breakfast. Also need a hand wash basin where the toilet is, as it is separate from the shower room.

Exceptionally clean with very friendly staff. Sandrine at reception was very helpful.Staff in restaurant couldn’t do enough for us.Lovely spacious hotel situated beside the river with plenty of outdoor sitting beside a quaint garden.Only negative ... which perhaps was a blessing in disguise ... we couldn’t get any WiFi in the bedroom.

Perfect location in a magical place. The town was buzzing. The hotel immaculate with a fantastic family room. Really wish we’d had more time! We’d love to come back.

Wifi not working in the room at all as advertised. Toilet - Air not able to extract the smell. Walk in Shower - Water easily spilt out to the floor. No Kettle in room or Coffee Not recommend this Hotel. Manager not really want to resolved the issue.

Excellent and very friendly staff, fluent in english. Even at the gift shop, Christine is very nice. Great quiet location. Free parking. Spacious bedroom. Clean. Will recommend to friends and families.

The property was advertised as kitchen included, but there is no microwave or coffee maker in the room. You have to purchase coffee and tea at the lobby bar.

The stay was good, as each day went on the cleaning of the room went down, the beds weren’t being made one evening we had lots of flys in our room and the next day the were dead all over the floor and the weren’t cleaned up.

The stay was pleasant. However being a 4 star hotel we expected little more facilies such as complimentary water bottles and facilites to make tea/coffee.

Very clean and very good in everything 5 star for me

I liked everything about the ALBA HOTEL. The staff is exceptional. The room very clean and for my birthday a special table was reserved just for me. I highly recommend ALBA HOTEL for great customer service
