For such an expensive hotel...£164 for a wall veiw....its filthy and needs a cash injection and a damn good clean......lovely veiws from the front full stop

Stayed overnight during a stop over in the area. I was impressed with the overall management of the COVID-19 and social distancing measures that were in place throughout the hotel. This offered Peace of mind and reassurance. We were alas people given a welcome pack which contained guidance, face masks and sanitiser gel.The location was excellent, the (twin) room was well proportioned, and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent.I would certainly stay at the hotel next time we are in the area.

The room was lovely with fantastic views, the bed was sooo comfortable. We ate in the restaurant, the service was very good, but the food not so, I had the sea bass and found the skin wasn’t crispy and the risotto was like rice pudding, fairly disgusting. But otherwise a lovely hotel.

Amazing location if you are interested in nature, hiking, and kayaking. We spent 2 nights there with 2 kids and a dog, it was really breathtaking experience. If you can, book rooms with a view of the lake - really worth it! The breakfast was amazing, the dinner were very good too! The hotel has a lot of history behind, so it has his own charm ;-)

This was a delightful place to stay. Incredible views over the Lake. Wonderful food and service that is so friendly and good. Although very comfortable room the decor is a little dated and tired, but don’t let that put you off.

We really liked the lake view from our room and the homely feel of the hotel. Overall we thought our stay was excellent although 49 individual stair up to our room did become a bit much. We liked it a lot.

Enjoyable stay at the hotel, just an issue with one of the room descriptions being wrong, valley view room was actually overlooking the car park. This should be resolved by the hotel/hotels.com asap so that other visitors do not have the same problem.

Difficulty with the disabled room going to the main part of the hotel outside esp with a person who cannot climb stairs or needs a wheelchair

Lovely view from restaurant. Food not as stunning as the view tho...a little bit on the small side with portions.. esp when you have been out all day

Great location and excellent service. Very dog friendly which made our stay so much more relaxing. We stayed in one of the Lake View Room which had nice nice bathroom with a large basic bedroom area. Would have preferred to have been able to control the room temperature as is was quite cold

Toilet cleanliness was terrible, out of sight area behind toilet lid was filthy, cleaners obviously never put lid down?Breakfast was only mediocre, poor quality sausages, baked beans you literally get 1 tablespoon in a little pot! Considering the premium price, I think this hotel is resting on its laurels and location.Always wanted to stay here but the experience didn’t live up to expectations.

I loved the peace and serenity we experienced during our stay. The best thing about the hotel I have to be honest is the view, breathtaking, but the beauty and authenticity of the hotel is no less.What I didnt like was the fact that we had to drive suite far to get to restaurants or other local amenities

Amazing site, truly beautiful area and very friendly staff.

Beautiful view. Very large comfortable room, decoration a little tired but view was so amazing that didn't matter. A few issues with my food intolerances at breakfast which was disappointing after it had been handled well the night before.

My sister and I had another short break in this magical place. The staff are excellent, the food great, the room and views fabulous.

This is a lovely hotel in a stunning position. Inside it is a bit of a rabbit warren with lots of stairs between levels. No sign of a lift, but may be wrong on that. Room was clean, comfortable and with fabulous views. However, furnishings were a bit tired with threadbare arms on the two easy chairs.

I went with my daughter here, we have visited the lake many times before, so we're treating ourselves to the hotel.To be confronted with can we have your payment now as you walk in without seeing the room or anything is a little disconcerting and not something I have experienced anywhere else in hotels. Not very helpful. When running bath the water smelt of sulphur. Only 2 cobwebs on the ceiling... Breakfast, black pudding not cooked, but staff pleasant had the item replaced. We both have stomach problems today, but with a food hygiene rating of only 3, I guess it's to be expected. Now I have found the new address of the old place we went to, will be returning there.

We had a very delightful stay at this beautiful hotel, the views overlooking the mountains and lake were breathtaking. We had a three course meal in the restaurant which was lovely. The traditional Welsh breakfast is included in your stay and I must say it was very yummy. We booked a premier room which was huge, we had our own balcony overlooking the lake. The hotel is in a beautiful location.
