Stayed overnight to attend an event in Cheltenham. Room had a musty smell, therefore had to leave the window slightly open all night.

Just awful, I don't know how it has a good rating. Dirty, sticky furniture, everything in room dated, grubby and or broken, not even my kettle worked. Sticky and dirty floor. Filthy bathroom, debris and hair in sink and bath. Not convinced bedding had been changed, make up on the bottom pillows. How old are the pictures you use, this is criminal

Hotel is very worn, could do with update/ money spent. Was cheap though so if you don't mind the odd broken ceiling tile then it will do.

Superb staff , very attentive Food excellent. Hotel a bit tired but the staff made up for that.

Generally good One very small minus - I had to let them know what kind of breakfast I wanted the night before. In the morning they were already cooking it when I arrived for breakfast and so I couldn't have my eggs how I prefer them.

First impression looks ok, but then you notice all the broken and damaged items. Front desk was friendly and helped us move to another room when we pointed out the bathroom sink was cracked and broken. Unfortunately, the next room ended up being in worse condition.

Just been painted and had update. Bath panel bit broken at bottom and shower poor. Outside not well kept especially at rear. However room good size and clean. Not a village hotel but ok for a nights sleep if you need a break and close to M5

Wonderful interior. A vast improvement from the last time we stayed. Obviously, been completely redecorated and very tastefully. The welcome from the staff was very polite and friendly. Only thing we noticed as keen gardeners was that the car park could do with some weed killer…

Very much a 3 star at best. As mentioned by others the grounds and general first impression from the outside is poor. The reception is nice enough as is the bar area but in between there are signs of worn out carpet. A pint of Madri is £6.75 (£5.60 with guest discount). We considered an ice bucket for a bottle of wine but they had ran out of buckets. In the room there isn't any fridge which was a disappointment - compounding the ice bucket problem. Very few power sockets of which none were by the bed. The bed was marked down one side and the pillows are very thin - definitely request extra in advance. The king size bed was quite comfortable. The bath and shower was good but the extendable magnifying mirror was missing a key part - the mirror! And no plug for the sink. The bedroom door needed a bit of a slam to close. The main plus point was the tv and its entertainment package - a cautionary note that any login details for Prime, Netflix etc are left usable by the next guest. Overall the hotel was ok but we said we'd probably not return.

Very easy to find and convenient for M5/M4 and between Gloucester and Cheltenham and very friendly staff and value for money dining

The outside of this building leaves a lot to be desired. The car park is littered with rubbish and building materials. Once inside the staff were nice. The room itself was spacious and seemed clean. The bathroom area is dated however the sanitary items are a nice touch. Anytime someone used a tap in there room a very loud boiler fired up and was pretty loud. This was constant through the night. Breakfast seemed very expensive so we opted against it.

The staff were very accommodating and responsive. I had a lovely, well-appointed accessible room. The only negative thing was the erratic servicing of my room. It seemed to be hit and miss. But I would gladly stay here again.

Rooms were really good, however the shower was really bad. When using the hot water, the shower pressure was barely there.

The bed was ok. There is no ac so stay in the winter. The shower was stuck on hot so was unuseable. The building looks run down on the outside - better inside. It was a cheap and I got what I paid for…

The pictures are very deceiving. The outside nor rooms look anything like the pictures. The carpet was either stained or dirty, I can’t tell the difference. Ehhh… The rooms smelled musty and the A/C was broken. That’s correct, no working A/C. The front desk said that did not advertise that they have A/C that works…. Huh????…They also did not advertise that they had door knobs, wall sockets and light bulbs. Some things are just understood, like A/C. I think in this century, you should advertise that you DO NOT have A/C. They did, however, offer us a table-top fan. We booked a “business” room which came with a desk, but no chair. To be fair, they did not advertise that would be a chair to sit at the desk. The shower had two options, freezing or scalding. But again, they did not advertise a comfortable showering experience…. We picked this hotel as a quick stop between destinations. It’s just off the M5 and we needed a break from driving. I honestly cannot recommend it. It’s currently a 1 star motel. Maybe it’s in transition, maybe that’s just the way it is. Either way, there’s a Travelodge up the street.

Hotel was below average. Staff seemed not too engaged w/ customers. Messages were not answered which is just bad customer service. For service offered, hotel clearly overprized.

The property was very dated, could not turn on the air conditioning （the whole hotel, for some reasons). We had to open the window as no air, too noisy outside near the main road. And the isollation is bad, can hear next door's TV and talking!

The outside appearance is poor with overgrown weeds etc so a bad first impression. The reception area is badly set out and we had to telephone for someone to come and check us in. The room was a good size and clean including the bedding but no toilet brush and no information about the hotel. The room outlook was horrible so we kept the curtains drawn. It looked out on a scruffy flat roof a few flower tubs would make it look better. No table menus at breakfast and asked what we wanted before we even sat down. Breakfast not brilliant-passable only. Dirty salt and pepper pots. Overall view adequate nothing special would not return-maybe only to view the outside to see if it improves. Pulling out in the car was dangerous because of the tall weeds

Check in was slow even though I rang the number on the desk. Room had lots of bugs around the windows can tell it had not been cleaned in a while. Bathroom door impossible to close.

Highly recommend, great staff and great break

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel, very friendly staff, good full cooked English breakfast. Will book again.

The welcome and level of customer care couldn't be better, nothing was too much trouble. Some renovations are under way at the hotel but this didn't detract from the experience. Clean room, good facilities, excellent restaurant. I would highly recommend.
