Wonderful hotel with lots of history. Breakfast included was wonderful each morning. Ourdoor pool area and grounds were beautiful. Included day use at the spa was much appreciated as well. Not a lot of action outside of hotel, other than the casino. Limited restaurant options. Easy Uber to Cascais where there is lots of shopping and restaurants.

This hotel is amazing, a little bit of history that they’ve managed to update with modern conveniences without ruining the magic. Love the bond connection and world war 2 spy ring.

This is such a great hotel with world class service. You can really feel the history of this hotel, which we loved. All the people working at this hotel are just lovely. The breakfast has everything you want. The bar is cozy. The rooms are really nice with an older and more classic style. The pool area was great, so we never even bothered going to the beach. If you are going to Estoril/Cascais I would highly recommend you staying at Palácio.

Wonderful traditional hotel, beautifully decorated with historic relics and pictures of important people. The service is outstanding without being snobby. The outdoor pool area is very nice, the windy days made a little difficult to fully enjoy this amenity. My family and I look forward to staying in this property again in a future visit to estori..

Tolles Hotel

Visited mid May for 4 nights but wished we'd booked for longer. Hotel was amazing. From our arrival we were made to feel so good. Greeted at door and taken to our room with a tour of hotel in between. Absolutely beautiful, luxurious hotel. Room had everything we needed and more. Bed was so comfortable and service made us feel so special. The bar staff were great, cocktails and wine excellent and ambiance in the bar lovely. Best breakfast selection ever. Very indulgent and waiting staff were so professional and attentive. Facilities at pool and the attendees were excellent. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Can't wait.

This should NOT be rated a 5 star VIP property. Rooms are old and outdated. There is an old carpet probably from 1969 and the rooms are not of a 5 star hotel. We checked in and checked out within 2 hours of arriving.

Terrible stay at this place. Lots of noise from an extractor from 5am. Iron burnt my clothes. Hair dryer broken. Window curtains broken and I have picture for proof of all of this. This is more like a 2 star hotel.

Liked:Leisure facilities, breakfast, the history of the hotel Didn't like: Rooms and furnishings need to be updated. Communication between visitor and staff was poor at times. Slowness of housekeeping - took 20mins to get a cup and saucer delivered as there were none in the room. Also asked housekeeper to take away drinks from minibar - this took ages to be done and then we were charged on final bill for the entire minibar (this was corrected after told the depts didn't communicate this request to each other). Overall it was a nice hotel but if you are staying in a "5 star" hotel you expect a "5 star" level of customer service - unfortunately we did not feel we got this.

Staff is professional

This was my countless time at the hotel, but I had to tell the reception staff. Although I don’t need or want a red carpet return. It would be nice to be remembered. So may be a new computer would help?! Nevertheless, the hotel is charming and staff are nice and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, but may be some more power sockets, for the times we live in, would be extremely helpful. The spa is amazingly relaxing and well looked after. A heated outdoor pool is very much needed and I’m sure would be welcome by other guests The bar ais nice in the evening, but the cafe attached could be lovely, but needs a complete makeover. Can’t help thinking that it’s days are unfortunately numbered - I’m sure major hotel chains are banging on the door to get their dirty hands on destroying it and making it another intercontinental or Sheraton or mandarin 😩

On the whole the staff were excellent with the exception of reception; they were lovely but had to be reminded twice of some of the details of our booking E.g. a discount on food and drinks plus a bottle of wine in the room. The breakfast is excellent as is the bar, with a great range of cocktails and a fascinating history.

Excellent. Fantastic hotel. Staff very friendly, helpful and provide great customer service. Historic hotel that gets it right on so many levels. We had an enjoyable and very comfortable stay. The best.

An absolutely beautiful hotel. The room was fabulous. We enjoyed reading about the history of the hotel. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The only negative was our dinner at the hotel was very disappointing. On the other hand, the breakfast, the next morning was outstanding.

All staff are well trained, tidy, kind, nice smile and polite. They are wonderful.

An old world grand hotel with very attentive staff. I cannot fault the hotel, except that the pool water has no heating and this should be mentioned in the info about the hotel. The highlight is the staff who try to assist all guests in every way possible.

Stunning hotel with beautiful grounds and a refreshing swimming pool, located right by the Casino Estoril and about a 10 minute walk to the beach.

The Palacio team were wonderful. Accomodation and facilities were, as always, excellent. However, since our last visit a few years ago the charges for food and drink seem to have rocketed. Also, this time, there was a lot of disturbance during the day and night from conferences and weddings etc. There were also rowdy guests at the pool that the management did little to address. Sadly, we wont be coming back because of this. Prices have gone up but the special atmosphere seems to have been lost.

A bit overrated

This Place is beautiful and the staff is amazing. We did not get any vip access or room upgrade so that was disappointing. The food was great, I would suggest the pool hire some more staff so a drink doesn’t take 30 minutes to get. Some days the pool service was slow and the young ladies did not know what they were doing. We didn’t have lunch 2 days because of service at the pool. The front desk staff and doormen, cleaning and concierge were fantastic! Can’t wait to return.
