The hotel is comfortable, room clean, bed, shower & wifi good. However, it is 12 km from Bilbao. I feel ripped off by hotels.com
If arriving by public transport, you need to cross the bridge at the Max Centre - if the centre is open you can use their escalators/lifts.

Excellent little ibis right next to a load of restaurants at the MaxCenter. My only issue is they there is always a lot of English staying before the ferry, but no opportunity to watch any news in English on tv. Most other hotels have this facility so it’s noticeable when not available. Would recommend though

Nearby outlet shopping, and good safe parking space. The room is very small and doesn't come with anything, no safety box, no water boiler, no microwave nothing. No AC and the room is burning hot even in the winter since there is no control on the heater either.

Good location for a night, waiting for a ferry to Ireland. Easily accessible, bit challenging with parking.

If I see an Ibis available on my travels I'll always choose it: free parking, dog friendly, good and reasonably priced menu, comfortable rooms. However, this one was a bit disappointing. The staff were lovely and friendly, but the rooms were dated and not very clean. Parking isn't guaranteed either, it's first-come, first-served and it's a very large hotel so fills up quickly. I think I got the last spot and saw a few other travellers circliing around in frustration as there didn't seem to be anywhere else nearby to leave the car.

This Ibis (Red) hotel has the same high standards that we’ve grown accustomed to. Building itself doesn’t look much however inside its clean, has knowledgable staff and very comfortable rooms, especially the beds. A bigger sign in the car park to point you in the right direction of the Ibis (red) reception area would have been appreciated.

It’s clean and comfortable and well placed being 10 mins away from the ferry port - staff are fine and a shopping mall nearby if you have a couple of hours to fill . Stayed here several times

The Room was rather small in comparison with other hotels in the same price range. Cleanliness ok, parking ok. Internet connection ok with your room number. There is a TV in the room, you get a remote when you check in. Overall not too bad but also nothing to shout about.

We got caught up in the country’s lock down due to Coronavirus unfortunately, but the staff were so helpful and calm. Although the bar and restaurant were closed they made us breakfast and allowed us to eat in the room. They also made calls to the ferry port to check if the boat was still going ahead. We are very thankful for their help

The trip took place during the Coronavirus lockdown in Spain. The staff was very helpful, given the restraints they were under.The location is functional, with shopping malls, supermarkets & industrial units nearby. However, it is an excellent place to stop over prior to departing on ferry from Bilbao, or even Santander.

All the staff were very helpful and nothing was to much hassle, Itziar on main reception was a very pleasant and helpful, giving us all the knowledge of the local area, the buses you get into town and back

Excellent location for overnight stop before sailing from Bilbao to Portsmouth. Near to city for sightseeing and also a shopping centre closeby.
