Do not stay at the motel 6 in coco beach it is so nasty

Went there to escape a hurricane that was suppose to hit Clearwater FL and instead a tornado hit right next to the motel and motel had no power for almost my entire stay. I hope corporate or the local motel will reimburse my credit card. The carpets in unit were wet and damp and the walls as well. We had a very miserable time.

This hotel was very filthy, dirty sheets and mold everywhere

The bed was hard shower had mold and i usually stay there a couple times a month.this is the worst yet.

Waited 30 minutes The to check in with a coughing, sick clerk. The deadbolt was broken. The fire alarm disabled. Had to drag suitcases upstairs. They were overbooked and someone had kicked in a door the night before. Staff had to physically check if rooms were clean. One pillow per full bed smelled like sweat. Blackish mold all around wall/tub. Next time spend the extra $100 and feel safe.

The bathroom door would not close shut, the floor was dirty with sand as well as the towels were dirty. We got there about 6 and took about 30 mins to check in due to the rooms not being clean and the paint on our door was still wet. There is no communication between staff, my son and I went down to the Beach and left my 22 yr old daughter in the room with my grandson, mind you it is late and some bang on the door and then open it with a key the guys did not speak English my daughter think they were trying to deliver towels which by the way they left none.

its really sad because the staff was absolutely great, management needs to take care of the facility more, its absolutely run down, i actually have stayed in 2 different motel 6 and the cleaniness/property was decent so i thought this time would be the same, first i got a different room but when i arrived the door was opened and the room was dirty beds not made, so i go back to the office and staff was very apologetic and gave me a different room, this room but it this way i wrapped the pillows with our beach towels, this room was so bad, mold all in the bathroom blood on one bed and cigarettes burns on the other we slepted together on a queen bed, we did not even shower, sanized every inch we used and gotnthe hell out if there, i have pictures but tje appt is not letting me upload not sure why

Extremely disappointed, only one dim light , bath bars rusty , no water pressure, very old rooms , entry door not completely secure , musty smell , no bath towels , outside smells from cigarettes and other comes inside room , will not recommend or stay here again or any motel 6 for that matter .want a refund

Room were really dirty. Not the place to bring a family. Not a comfortable stay at all. To many complaints to list.

Got into first room, smelled really bad, no towels, go to use shower it didn’t work. Go to front desk told the lady we had no towels , the lady informed me they had none & I needed to come back in hour after she did laundry. Moved to another room.. not enough pillows but hey… it smelled better. Got to office again to ask for pillows the lady says she had no pillows. I get it’s a motel 6 but FOR REAL!!!???Def do not recommend

The tv was small and didn’t have a lot of channels. The beds weren’t very comfortable and there was the smell of marijuana throughout the property and in the room

We booked this hotel for one night at $133 in a non smoking room for 4. We entered the room and it reeked of heavy smoke. We told the front desk and was handed a can of Lysol. Went back sprayed the room and it helped a bit. We were getting ready for bed and pulled back the sheets to find a huge stain on the sheets. Went back to the front desk and she gave us a me room. It was a tad better. We got ready for bed and within 30 minutes of laying down someone tried to enter our room. I looked out the window to find a strange man leaning against the door with what looked to be a 12 pack of beer. I called the front desk and was told they accidentally rented the room we were in again and would clear it up with the drunk guy I. Front of our door. The whole experience was horrible.

The property was clean however, our room floor stayed wet the whole time we were there. A staff member came over and gave us a hand towel to wipe up to dry the floor. The floor never did dry. We also had to ask for towels to be delivered to our room 3 times before we finally received towels. The staff was rather unfriendly. I would not recommend this motel to anyone to stay.

Cheap and convenient. Beach within walking distance.

The room was pretty dirty. The floors, the bedding had sand and dirt on the sheets, the bedskirts were flighty. The pool was unavailable. I think those kind of things should be made known to guests. I would probably not stay here again.

The area is in a great location. The staff were nice. Annoying Lobby fire/smoke detector kept beeping during check in and check out. The room was VERY BASIC (bed, tv, bathroom— that’s all), but after all it’s a little 6. linens/towels were stained. Bugs/roaches. Glad I bring bug spray and my own linens.

They are working on things, but whomever painted last left paint drippings everywhere. Didn’t want to walk barefoot in the room floors were sticky and gross. Pool had water, but it was closed so we couldn’t go in or near. Lastly felt like they were letting the homeless/druggies live there. It was kinda sketchy. This is just my opinion though. Others may think differently.

Terrible Experience ! I WOULD NEVER STAY AT A MOTEL 6 again . Please spend a couple more dollars and go else where ..

Friendly staff.

The room is very dirty, especially the bed sheet are so dirty. luckily there is no bad smell. The good things are the stuffs are friendly. and the location is very convenient.

We used to stay in Motel 6 growing up. It wasn't fancy, but it was always a clean place to stay. Our first room seemed great at first, very large room, even had a refrigerator and coffee maker, appeared clean, even though the sheets that they took off the beds were in a pile outside the door. Then I went to the bathroom. There was blood on the bathtub! Blood! The bathmat was placed right next to it so I don't know how it got missed. We changed rooms and this one was worse. Didn't appear clean, the kick plate on the door was missing so when you opened the door pieces of wood came into the room with you. A screw was sticking out of the door frame into the room, holes in the curtains, cigarette burns on the pillow case! I made reservations elsewhere and left! Motel 6's slogan should change from "We'll leave the lights on for you" to "You better keep the lights on." The staff did apologize and said I wouldn't be charged.

This hotel was gross. It smelled bad and didn't seem clean. Check-in was terrible as far as the staff. When I booked it my thought was "it's just one night." I won't think like that again. I could not wait to get out of there.

Nice location near the beach. Pool was down the first 2 nights which was really unfortunate as we specifically booked because of the pool. Staff was friendly. Stayed 4 nights and housekeeping never changed out towels or restocked toiletries. Property is due for a facelift but not a bad place. May stay again if in the area.

Save yourself the hassle. Staff, including asst. management was rude and unprofessional. My partner lost his wallet and was thus unable to provide ID for check in. I had my ID so I checked in however the staff would not allow my partner to stay on premises. We offered to email them a copy of his Photo ID and they refused. After checking in they came to our room to check if he was there and made us turn in both of our keys and cancel our reservation leaving us without accommodations. They even threatened to call the police if he didn’t leave the room. This apparently is a recurrent issue because while I was waiting in the lobby another guest was inadvertently locked out of his room, his key would not work and they still asked for his ID…. The man simply responded “umm it’s in my room…” a faulty system with antiquated room lock/key system and add rude staff to boot. Save yourself the hassle and pay $15-20 more to book with a different hotel.

It was pet friendly, which is what drew us to make the reservation. The grounds were clean, but there were so many bugs in our room, and varieties of bugs, the bottom of our door was rotten and you could see daylight, there were people/families that appeared to be long, long term residents staying there, and the pool shower didn't work.
