Fabulous stay in this hotel. Pool side room allowed for easy access which was great for the kids. Our kids really loved the on site playroom as well

We paid for all inclusive at this resort but could only get drinks from the restaurant or a small pool bar which wasn’t always open
The rooms are beautiful, air con excellent, pools nice.
Nora beach bar is not included in the all inclusive and we would have happily paid if it were a bit livelier and the staff more courteous but staff appeared disgruntled when asked for a drink and the price was quite expensive
The staff within Amora beach resort were wonderful and a credit to the hotel
If you walk up the beach to the right of the hotel there are many bars and all are excellent

A well appointed hotel with excellent facilities, including for children (water features, Kids Club...). Our all-inclusive package was excellent value - a great room right by the pool, and lots of good food and drinks for the money!
The food and drinks in the (only) restaurant/bar were good overall, with some excellent dishes, though also a few disappointing ones (mainly Thai, surprisingly). But what really let down the hotel, and so this review, was the service in that restaurant. It was often slow, and erratic (dishes forgotten completely, or brought in the wrong order). If the hotel could improve that, it would warrant a 5-star review.

Recently renovated, but felt very cheap. Light switches all over the room, confusing to use. Toward the end of our stay, some weird sewage smell started growing and don’t know where it came from. We ended up needing to switch rooms because the smell became too unbearable. We had to get the manager involved, she did a good job assisting us.
Room service is very poor. When you call front desk, they are usually confused of your request and often just ignore you completely. I often have to go out of my way to get room service, it’s more like self service.

3 pools located in different parts of the resort. There’s got to be one close to you. The Kids Club is on the small end, but the staff are friendly and my little one had a blast, so I can’t complaint. Wifi is very weak and spotty.

We opted in to the all inclusive package that allows us to eat all we want at the resort. But there’s a catch, only the ISLE Restaurant is on the list. Staff are friendly. Food is good. Definitely go for the chefs recommendations.

I would highly recommend Amora the staff at the hotel were fantastic and the hotel itself was amazing. Don't worry when they say there doing building renovations and there will be noise. The workers are fantastic and you wouldn’t even know they are there. When it’s complete it will be amazing. Looking forward to coming back again. Cheers Amora.

Wonderful location to beach and not far away from downtown.

Pros:
-Very nice helpful staff at front and at restaurant
-Excellent breakfast
-nice room (except for noise and power not working)
-nice pool and pool loungers
-very close to beach
-clean room
-easy to arrange taxi to airport / laguna area / to my next hotel / etc
-plenty of things available for purchase on beach near the resort like smoothies, massages, pancakes, lunch
CONS:
-so much construction from 7am-7pm, loud in my room, loud at the pool, impossible to relax, headache the whole time
-the power and the control panel in my room constantly went on and off and beeped incessantly and was just not working properly and very irritating. They ‘fixed’ it once but it still didn’t work
-rude guests at this resort, all Russians who smoked, at the pool, at the beach, on the restaurant deck, and no one smiled or looked at you upon passing, no hellos or nods or waves. Very grumpy patrons.
-resort not close to anything, can’t walk to ‘town’, you need an expensive taxi there and back
-beach area is crappy with only a few crowded dilapidated beach chairs, never enough, pine needles and pine cones everywhere that hurt your feet
-I would NOT have booked this resort if they had warned about the intense construction, I had an overall bad experience because of it. It will be nice when it’s all done.

TOTAL LACK OF BASIC HOSPITALITY.
This is my honest review as well as a request for an improvement which will be hopefully done but I AM NEVER STAYING AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.
1. The housekeeping often times forgot to put the fresh and clean towels after removing the dirty ones.
2. One one morning the water in the bathroom has been switched off. I couldn’t do any self cleaning and start my day.
3. The tap water is not clean in general in Phuket but in this hotel it runs in a light yellow color which you can see if you try to fill in the sink.
4. Purpose design flaw in the bathroom glass door - there are gaps so by the time you finish showering the floor towel is soaking wet.
5. Safety box often times malfunctions.
6. Room service food is disappointing and not tasty.
7. Hair dryer is old and needs to be replaced.
8. The shower runs hot water whenever it wants. While taking a shower a very hot stream of water starts to run at some point and its very uncomfortable and painful, this happens every 2-3 mins while you are taking the shower.

during our stay the site had some major building works as they were expanding the resort. Looked like a building site, but the original existing half was fine, building noise started around 8:30am and finished 8pm. That did not bother us as we were out of the hotel by 9am and usually back by 8:30pm. the resort when finished should hopefully be amazing. the restaurant breakfast food was great, staff were great, the beach was right behind the hotel which was perfect (had to walk through the building site to get to the beach). will recommend the resort.

The bed is god awful and will hurt you. It feels like they put a down mattress topper on top of two separate twin box springs pushed together. You can feel the edges of the box springs and feel that they’re also pretty old and scrunched down in some spots.

Only stayed for one night so didnt get to see much. Room was lovely but the bed was very hard & we could here the generator running all night. Breakfast selection was minimal but ample. Pool area was nice

Appearance is old but very practical and handy hotel, near by seaside, quiet, big swimming pool and under the trees. Breakfast is well enough. Beach is spectacular, I strongly advice Amora hotel for everyone and I’ll come back again...

Extremely disappointed by the property booked through Expedia.Probably due to the low price offered by Expedia, the room we ended up with was probably in the least desirable location. The room was a standard hotel room, nothing like depicted in the pictures but was comfortable and clean except stained spoons and dirty cushion covers. All following points were reported but nothing changed.The cleaner’s room was outside our room with a trim phone that rang incessantly from about 7:50am and sometimes every two minutes throughout the day. One evening the industrial style toilet flush would not work as there was no water available in the room. When it did return there was no hot water in sink or shower for over 12 hours. The WiFi could only be used successfully between about 4-6am as it was so slow, it failed to connect at most times. The card slot to activate the electricity had a blue strobe light active whenever a card was inserted. This lit up the room at night and had to be covered with a cloth to be able to sleep. Breakfast was included in the price but for us, it wasn’t worth the money. Nothing was labeled, was very non-descript in appearance. Bacon was a congealed mass of fat, nothing crispy. Three types cereal and only raw oatmeal. Fruit juice had the taste of sweet, reconstituted powder. The ’welcome’ drink offered was a fruit cocktail of mixed, leftover breakfast juice. Tip - We found it worthwhile to pay for and have breakfast in the adjacent hotel

The resort was partially renovated, so we had to move rooms twice until we had a room that was modernized and had a clean bathroom. The staff was understanding and some of them were very warm, but mostly they were not very friendly. They also do not have chairs down on the beach and very few chairs available around the pool.

We stayed just for one night and for the price we paid we were expecting nicely looking hotel. The hotel looks very old and that it needs to be refreshed... Rooms are big and nice though. Just the first impression is not the best one. Breakfast is spectacular! Lots of food, great bread, everything was delicious. If you ask me, we stayed at better hotels in Phuket and I wouldn´t go back to this one but I would definitely go back for the massage by the beach.

Reception and service staff was super nice and service minded. Restaurant was not very impressive. Messed up orders for room service (Chicken changed to pork for example, so hardly a communication issue), took forever to bring the food and subsequent change. Saw several others get wrong orders in the restaurant as well.One gentleman in the breakfast buffet almost refused me an omelet for breakfast arriving at 10:15 as they already started packing up, not acceptable when they write till 10:30 in the service manual. The previous day same guy was gone from his station for 15 minutes, not sure why a toilet break would take that long.Asked one guy in the bar if i could get a water, he left and came back 10 minutes later with a senior staff that could serve me a 50 baht bottled water, what is he doing at the bar if he has not even obtained the water serving badge? Told first person i preferred to drink from the bottle and five minutes after another staff comes and pours the whole thing in a glass while I look away, how do they operate a restaurant for a big beach hotel without having table assignments?Put service on 3 stars, since reception deserve 5 and restaurant get 1

When i got there they put me on the second floor (no elevators). I told them i booked the swim up room and they said i needed to contact expedia because they have no swim up pools. i contacted expedia and they were able to move me to the first floor pool view. That’s the best they had. Those pictures are very deceiving so beware.

My experience with the staff was not welcoming. The room was nice, but for the price being charged per night it could have been better. The bed was not properly made. There were really no good accommodations regarding the restaurants. I went to eat out on the beach. Will not stay there again.

Good place to stay, close to the beach, comfortable room, good pool. Breakfast is ok, not that much. Staff is hopeful and friendly. Restaurants close to the hotel are simple. Very bad wi-fi!!
