Older court hotel that has been maintained well. Clean rooms and excellent amenities.

Charming family motel with cool, clean rooms and a nice continental breakfast option.

Honestly, this place was cooler than I thought it was going to be. Fun stuff everywhere. There is even billiards and games in the club house and yard there. So, after you've had some fun out with your friends, you can come back and chill with some relaxed fun. The room are themed and interesting. I'd come back if I ever head this way again.

Older motel very nice themed deco. Small bed & bath room. No place to hang clothes. Can park directly in front of room. Only one door key. Nice continental breakfast with ample seating. No exhaust fan.

Loved this unique old school travel lodge style hotel. It had all the modern comforts and was very clean. Great continental breakfast with a few warm up options. Great coffee!

Great experience at the Retro Inn. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is included and you even have access to a game room. Close to Mesa Verde.

The hotel was really nice. However, there were a couple security and comfort issues. This review is specific to the Gatsby Suite. The windows in the bathroom had no privacy. These windows were high but you could easily see in/out. There was an attempt at a curtain in the toilet but nothing for the shower. The second concern is using traditional keys for the door. The deadbolt and handle lock used the same key and was accessable from the outside. There was no peephole or inside door latch/swing botl. We would have felt more comfortable with electronic lock and a deadbolt that was only accessible from inside. The hotel is really nice, we really enjoyed the stay, the cleanliness and the staff. I just hope that these issues are fixed for future guests.

Quirky, clean and comfortable

Very cute motel! The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good! They had great coffee! We will definitely come back.

We stay here very often on our way to Arizona. Some people also told us they also did stay at this place. It has a theme, and every room is different. The bed was very, very comfortable. Very clean and quiet place. We really love it

Great old style motor lodge. Has been completely updated with fresh (retro) furnishings. Very comfortable bed.

Loved the nostalgia of the inn. Great service, nice people, comfortable bed. It could use better lighting in the area in front of the bathroom but considering the age of the inn it’s understandable.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable, but was literally right on the main road so every car sounded like it was driving through the room. I had specifically asked for a QUIET ROOM in my reservation (on Sept 20) since I am a light sleeper and I had driven 8 hours to get there and had 8 hours the next day to drive home. At check in Oct 3rd I was told they never got the request and there were no other rooms available. Clerk was nice, but I did not get a good night sleep. Also I had asked if rooms had microwave on Sept 28, but did not get a response until the day AFTER I checked out Oct 4.

I loved the Retro Inn. I loved the themed room of 1967 which brought back childhood memories of Bonanza and The Man From Uncle. The only thing missing was Batman!!! The room was big, the bed comfortable, and the towels fluffy. I also enjoyed the “throwback” chairs outside, and the colors of the chairs and the buildings in the “retro” colors. I didn’t use the pool table or the game room, but it is a great idea! Wish I could have stayed more than one night!

Loved staying here and breakfast was OK. Basic motel but had a good feel to it. The tables and chairs on the grass in the middle to sit out on an evening was very welcome. Not many restaurants walkable but enough if you don't want to drive.

The gatsby room has great decor and big bathroom. It does have a "grandpa's house smell" going and the ice machine is in the room behind the bed. No wall to wall carpet which is a huge plus for me. The staff are super friendly. Lots of lounging areas on the property.

So cute each room has a yearly theme. Ours was 1974.

This motel was really fun.The room numbers are years, and the rooms are themed, ours was Star Wars. There is a clubhouse with billiards and foozeball and room just to hang out, there are aeveral grills on the property if you wanted to grill out. Brilliant way to revitalize a motel into a fun and comfortable place to stay.

Parking was a bit complicated due to unclear traffic flow, a little map would help! Otherwise, it was clean, comfortable and quaint. The breakfast was typical "free" breakfast with a few additions (burritos and pancake wrapped sausage to heat up in the microwave). Coffee was actually good, first free breakfast I've ever been able to say that for!

We choose this room because we were sick of the slipshod cleaning in the other places we were staying, and we were not disappointed. Everything was squeaky clean and we really enjoyed the vibe. The young lady who checked us in was very pleasant. The room was a bit small and we were stymied as to where to put our luggage to get stuff out, as there was no luggage rack. There was also no fan in the bathroom, so the fantastic water pressure caused our whole room to steam up.

There has been a lot of thought and money put into restoring this 1950’s motel. The room was perfect and period correct. Super fast wifi and direct tv. We walked across the street for dinner then slept like babies. The walls are block. We didn’t hear the street noise.

The Retro is just that. The decor in our room made us smile, in a good way. Very cool place.

Clean room and smells fresh

Excellent hotel in it's category. It's of course a basic old CMU block building but they've fixed the property up and it's very clean. To the point if I wonder if the bathroom tile is actually original or if they just bought retro style tile. Lots of nice ammenities. AC works very well.

Cute place! Our double-queen room was spacious and very clean. Loved being able to park right outside the room door. We arrived late into the evening so were pleasantly surprised to see all the outdoor seating areas around the property once we walked to breakfast in the morning. Hope we will have a chance to stay here again in the future!
