Nice old house with lots of character. Host was great. Wine bar was pleasant. Good food in neighborhood. Extra drinks & snacks in the common area were very handy.

Loved the charm of the Victorian mansion

Super cute Inn. Super friendly people! Pleasant night sleep

"area around property" was only 4/5 stars simply because we do not drink and this is predominately a wine/bar community. We loved the huge Victorian house--the room, the common room, dining area--all of it. The house is in the Oregon District, which is a little upscale village with antique shops, pubs and moderate to upscale dining. With my OCD I am never comfortable in a hotel, but this little B&B felt like home and we absolutely will be back.

This is a lovely, old home and the owner, Leslie, was SO friendly and accommodating. I love that I was greeted so nicely and that there was a designated parking place for us. I would love to have taken advantage of some of their lovely wine, but the timing wasn't right.
The items for the continental breakfast were pleasing.
The place was tidy and the bathroom was very clean, but many places could have used a good dusting.
All in all, it was a very nice stay.

Beautiful historic building with comfortable bedding, 24/7 breakfast items/snacks and above all, friendly and accommodating hosts. Super location with restaurants and entertainment nearby. We enjoyed our stay tremendously!

B & B in a charming historic Victorian home. Shabby chic and very clean. Host Leslie was welcoming and informative about the Oregon District. Convenient to lots of things to do in Dayton OH

Very nice almost B&B facility within walking distance from some great restaurants. The host was very charming and made us feel at home immediately even helping us with our bags. Old world feel with all the modern touches.

This was a wonderful place. The parking spot was labeled so there wasn’t any guessing. The owner was very kind, but not overbearing. She suggested some great wines and was a lovely person to talk with. The only suggestion I have, and this is super nit-picky—is bring your own pillow. Everything was clean and private. 100% recommend!

Great little place. I had a spacious 750 Sq Ft to myself including a separate room with a hot tub!. Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Would definitely come back.My two tips for the owner would be: 1. Add a towel rack just outside of the shower and 2. Perhaps add another shelf for your "shaving kit" near the bathroom sink. Other than these two minor items...I love this place. The only negative is it is on an alley that sometimes has cars pass by at night. And there is a bar very close that was pretty loud on Saturday night. So sleeping with ear plugs is recommended. One other positive is it is very close to a small "downtown" area that has a number of bars and restaurants within an easy walk. My favorite was Oregon Express...

We were in Dayton for WGI Percussion Championships. This was a great location for visiting UD Arena and Nutter Center. Accommodations were excellent. Our host was amazing. The wine bar was a cool place to hang out. The neighborhood was cool. We loved everything about it!

This was a delightful place to stay. From the personalized parking space (!!) to the warm friendly greeting from the proprietor, to a large spacious room, extra clean, extra large bathroom. I couldn't have found a nicer space, close to many restaurants. We walked to the theatre (.half mile or so, but easy to do). Hotels.com lists the site as "Inn Port Lodging" - It is "Inn Port D'Vino" Definitely will book it again, if we are in the area.

I would highly recommend staying at the Inn Port Lodging if you ever visit Dayton. It's owner is very sweet and helpful and makes sure your stay is comfortable. It's like stepping back in time staying there...not in amenities but in the feel of the Inn. Lovely!

This was one of those pleasant travel surprises that happen once in a while. I couldn't get into the conference hotel so I went on Expedia and grabbed something close. OMG! This is the only place you should consider in Dayton. Seriously, Leslie was a great host and this is a gem. I hope this review is so good, I have trouble getting in next time!

The room was lovely but cold.
Needs a space heater. I was chilled to the bone when I got up in the morning.

We spent 5 nights at the Inn Port while in Dayton for the WGI Percussion Championships. Wonderful historic house in the Oregon District. Close to many restaurants/pubs and downtown. The Fruili Suite with a very comfortable bed was large and gave us lots of space. A separate enormous bathroom with 2 sinks/shower and large jacuzzi added to the suite.
There is also a large dining room and living room downstairs that is common area. The house was clean and tidy, but the decorating/colours could use a refresh.
The dining room area had a fridge/toaster/microwave and Kerig. There was continental breakfast style food that was available to the guests all day.
Our hostess Leslie, was very friendly and was able to answer any questions we had about "where to find” items. The fact that they don't live onsite was not an issue as she popped in to check on everything and was only a phone call away if we needed something.
Would definitely stay at the Inn Port Lodging again!

We felt like we were in Europe! We love old homes with character, as we have one ourselves! However, I don't think I was fully aware that this was more like a bed & breakfast than a hotel. The listing said "guest house"; which is a little unclear. We loved having the place practically to ourselves! Also, the listing said it could sleep 4 people & had one king bed, so I was unsure where the other 2 were going to sleep! I took the risk, and assumed there would be a pull out, which was fine. But the listing could be more clear or include a picture of the pullout. Also a picture of the bathroom would have helped! The whirlpool is awesome! Have you connected with the bar owners in the area about the noise level when their customers leave the bar? We were awoken a couple times with a drunken yelling fight going on outside. But love the location! LOVE the piano!! My kids played it together...2 teenagers who hardly ever speak; so thank you! Staff was attentive to calling me back when we left something behind. Thank you!

Easy check-in, easy check-out, half a block from a bunch of bars, restaurants, and shops. What more could you want?

We loved this place! Everything was perfect. The only thing I would change is a foam mattress topper for the bed. The rate even included breakfast foods with coffee, cream, eggs, blueberry bagels with cream cheese! The hot tub was clean, the bathroom was spotless, and it even had a back deck with a table to enjoy relaxing outside.

The rooms were funky, the bed and seating not very comfortable. Heating system was not controlled from our room so had to call reception which was over a block away - very odd set up. We were not thrilled with the breakfast - had to make it ourselves, stale mini bagels, Cheerios, Maxwell House regular coffee or Starbucks decaf, fruit drink rather than real juice. The Oregon District is interesting but has it’s rough spots with quite a bit of construction going on. The owners/staff were great, as was the small bar. Unfortunately it was also at the main building over a block away and closed at 8. The restaurant recommendation, Corner Kitchen, was very good. All in all we thought that $159 per night ($10 supplement for our pet) was way too much for what you get. We prefer not to stay at chain hotels so were hopeful but ended up disappointed.
