A historic and charming hotel with the most wonderful service. The waiters and reception gentlemen were all delightful and the food was superb. One snag is tricky entrance to the car parking, but done carefully I managed to get a pretty large vehicle in and there was plenty of room in the car park.

Excellent, enjoyed our stay, very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast good. Had meals in restaurant which were excellent and good value.

Beautiful village, adequate pub and hotel. Nothing fancy but did the job for our friend’s reunion.

All fine. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Reception v helpful with an early check in. 9It is not always possible but they have contingency plans.)

Lovely little gem of a place

Olde worlde English pub but quite shabby. Towels were threadbare and the bed sheets not much better. Outside the room in the drive was an unseated drain cover which banged every time a car drove over it. Parking was adequate and the surrounding typical tourist Cotswold village was charming. However for the price I would expect more.

In a very pretty village which deserves a better hostelry. On arrival we had a disorganised check in and were taken up a dingy corridor with worn carpets to a room with a small bed and antiquated bathroom which smelt. It was stuffy uncomfortable and noisy. In the morning we did not stay for breakfast but the previous night’s glasses and plates had not been cleared away

Outside areas not well kept ,whole area needs to be tidied up, benches need rubbing down and sealing. Leaves and other debris need to be removed. Rooom satisfactory but needs deep clean to removed dust and small areas of mold..Furniture new. Bed mattress very hard. No instructions in room , no fire safety notices. Staff enthusiastic, but perhaps management has never run a hotel. Overpriced but we had no options due to late booking.Area around hotel beautiful, hotel looks lovely on outside street view.

Awesome! Our stay at the Crown Hotel in Blockley was quiet & restful. A great place, with a rich history. We were pleasantly surprised to find a book in the Library in Chipping Camden with the history of Blockley and many other books on Cotswold. We were welcomed and served at the hotel with a wonderful staff that accommodated to our request, especially as we were travelling with my ederly mother. As the hotel is rustic, our room had uneven flooring, but we were pleased that my mother's room was alright. The food at the restaurant including breakfast and dinner was reasonably priced and delicious. The Sri Lankan dinner set is not to be missed, the steaks were gorgeously done and cooked to perfection. We had many happy memories and enjoyed our stay.

Lovely people!! Amazing food!!

Great location and views - excellent food and service - a shame the bar did not have any local beers such as Hook Norton (only a few miles away). Chalet type room - basic (not a problem) the shower room was as big as the bedroom. There was a musty smell - leaving all windows open seemed to improve this. The carpet needs to be replaced - it appeared to have cement footprints on it.

Such a pretty village with lots of walks. The location is great for visiting other villages/places of interest in the Cotswolds. The Crown is warm and cosy, the staff are so polite, helpful and friendly and give excellent service with a smile. The studio room we stayed in has a lovely view and private courtyard which is perfect for a family or friends to stay together. We had a perfect stay.

The staff were lovely but the hotel is in need of some modernisation and restoring. The bed was uncomfortable and also our family room was right near the bar and area being played pool so we could hear them whilst trying to sleep.

Room was comfortable but although we advised the hotel of an allergy, they had not cantered for it at breakfast, reducing the available options

We had a very warm welcome from checkin to checkout. Excellent room, well fitted out,and evening meals in the restaurant were of a very high standard, delivered with an excellent level of service from the friendly and efficient staff members.

Very nice hotel with Parking and excellent restaurant

Really nice & affordable hotel in the centre of the Cotswolds. We travelled with a dog and had no problems at all. The village of Blockley is lovely & we found it easy to get to other surrounding areas.

The hotel staff were paranoid about being paid. It hardly made us feel welcome. Plus the shower was weak and not warm.

Food and service very good. Lovely location with nice walks and scenery. Room was quiet.

Really friendly warm greeting at the reception, same at the bar. We had our dog with us so ate in the bar at a table that was conviently reserved for us in the corner as we were told it was a popular place for locals. We definitely could see why, had the set curry meal which was delicious, beautifully presented and hot. Our dog was also given a complimentary treat which she devoured with enthusiasm. The service was quick and the gentleman that served us was really friendly. We were offered the option of having breakfast the next day but we just knew we wouldn't require it after such a good meal the night before. Our room was very clean with a lovely deep bath, shower overhead. The bed was so comfortable too. A lovely goodbye from the reception plus a friendly wave goodbye from the manager. Definitely a place to return to. Exceptional value.

Perfect don’t hesitate to book

Bedroom was spacious, very comfortable and clean with a nice outlook over the village. Some of the old internal character of the Inn was retained and pleasing to see.

Staff were absolutely lovely. Bed lovely and comfortable and good, albeit small shower but for some reason the room smelled of mothballs which took me straight back to my childhood at my grans. They only do curry so bear that in mind but, having seen how packed the place was l tried it and it was pretty average and not cheap. No ale at the bar and bloody tv screbut again, l must stress that the staff are all really great and the room was very clean and comfortable so, for the price l say YEAH 👍

The hosts were very friendly and courteous. We were made to feel very welcome. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a drink in the pleasant bar and an excellent meal in the restaurant. Very good quality ingredients and great service. Excellent chef. We will definitely return.

Room comfortable and shower excellent. Access to off-street parking somewhat challenging due to a tight entrance. Staff welcoming and efficient. Breakfast an extra charge.
